MemberMothra LarvaeNov-29-2013 12:56 PMWhen the Godzilla vs Biollante DVD came out back in december of 2012, yes i was very very excited. I ordered the movie right away, but as soon as i watched the movie i could already tell the flaws of the DVD. I could not take the subtitles off, the movie it'self is very fussy and the menu music got on my nerves. Honestly the case of the DVD looked a bit lame. Why couldn't they used the old classic poster/vhs look of the movie. It looks a lot better than Biollante being submerged in water. -_-. Now I'm not super fond of this DVD releaase because I already had the region 3 Version of the film witch the film was a lot clearer than the region one release. And the company who released it dvd't even put it in some kind of special edition. I'm very dissapointed of the release. But just like other Godzilla movies, I think this one should get another to disc release when the new Godzilla comes out or even later. I want to see a creepy art work something like this. This is what i like, it doesn't have to be exact but geeze
the movie deserves another better release than it already has. I want an HD DVD plus an ultra violet copy, with all kinds of special features. Like the making, and the deleted scence, original Godzilla vs Biollante trailers. Something like that. So what do you think of the idea I have. Should Godzilla vs Biollante deserve a lot more better to DVD/Blu-Ray Treatment and another try?

MemberMothra LarvaeNov-29-2013 5:22 PMThe DVD honeslty sucks tp me, it's looks very fuzzy and the japanese subs wont come off. And i personally think the DVD/Blu-ray art work looks lame.

AdminGodzillaNov-29-2013 5:24 PMIt's not the best release, but there's been worse. I'm pretty sure my bluray disc is able to remove the subtitles though. The picture quality is passable, but not top notch bluray quality. I think the biggest issue is the improper 5.1 Surround Sound. They clearly botched that. The extras are pretty nice.
As for the case... I don't really care. I'm used to most movies having the worst DVD/Bluray covers possible-- There's a lot of really awful movies covers in the world and the North American Godzilla releases have some of the absolute worst. I'm not going to lose sleep over it though.

MemberMothra LarvaeDec-04-2013 1:34 AMThe original Godzilla Vs. Biollante poster is the greatest piece of Godzilla art ever created. The movie, in my opinion, is also the finest of Godzilla's adventures.
I would very much like to have a quality, worthwhile BluRay release.

AdminGodzillaDec-04-2013 3:10 AMI agree about the poster. It's one of the few Heisei posters that the movie actually lives up to.
Most of the Heisei series posters advertise a better movie than we actually got.
