I agree, Hedorah should appear in a Godzilla video game. Along with Gorosaurus, Kumonga, Kamacuras, Manda, Zilla, Minilla, Ebirah, Monster X, Keizer Ghidorah, Battra, King Kong, Gabara, and Super-Mechagodzilla. That would be one hell of a game.

Oh yes this is most diffiently going to scare people when they see this trailer for the first time. Excellently well done, and it has got me stoked for the movie. I can hardly wait for it. But if I get a chance to see the desolation of smaug I will be able to see the trailer again I hope.
Absolutely wonderful trailer.
The mood was perfect. Very horrific feeling. There's a sense of dread evoked through the entire thing.
It's also fairly original in that it doesn't show over-the-top money shots, it has very simple and horror-inspired background music (no Inception horn for a change) and doesn't rely on a lot of flash.
It's really the perfect teaser and it shows that WB/Legendary aren't simply playing the marketing game here. They're giving this movie its own identity.
This trailer is amazing, the wait was well worth it. I'm so excited for this movie that i'm gonna watch Desolation of Smaug and leave after the trailer is over. Godzilla takes all priorities over any movie I will watch from now on.

OK...That was.....just...AWESOME!!! The trailer is so nice its so dark... it's THE REAL GODZILLA! He looks so big and scary! I like how they used scenes from the Teaser Trailer but with better quality and a bit changed things! Godzilla is such big! Bigger than a skyscraper!In the scene when they fall out and you see the view of the soldier... I was really...really scared of Big G! Thanks Gareth for that amazing Trailer!

My guess is the sink holes are hive openings.

@laminatedeffect, I thought it looked pretty close when I'm pictured the two images together in my head side by side but I could be totally wrong though. My guess is that it probably could be a Muto because why would that organization have a picture of Godzilla. Unlesssssss, they are secretly responsible for Godzilla somehow in the movie.

@Melissa1, when you go to reply to the post u can use the insert button at the top of the reply box, click it and then click insert image if the image is saved onto your computer. If the image is from a website/url then u can go to the very last button in the second row that has a mountain within the square as the icon and click on it and it will open a box for you to insert the url and then just click ok
I'm hoping thats how it turns out. I'm wanting to see the strongest godzillla ever, fight a modernized destroyah, arguably his most dangerous foe ever. besides, destroyah would be the perfect choice for a dark movie like this one is suposed to be.

Also, under (what I think is the eye) is also the words, "MUTO Research.net"
They do seem to go through the same type of metamorphasis. Think about it, if they are similar to Destroyah, and Godzilla kills them all, then that would make this Godzilla even stronger than the Japanese Godzilla, which needed help killing Destroyah, and in the end it was the military which brought it down.

Godzilla will be a force of nature, not an anti-hero; Gareth Edwards has made this clear a number of times (his misuse of the term anti-hero notwithstanding), which is exactly the way it should be for the movie to be serious...
Also, the comparisons being made to the Showa/Heizei/Millenium movies in relation to hero/anti-hero are irrelevant; this movie is a reboot of the franchise, not a continuation!

I love the eerie, ambient music and the dark, serious tone. Looks like Gareth Edwards was very serious about making this movie dark and realistic, like an updated version of the 1954 classic...

That decyphering bar on MUTO is really starting to bug me, the orange bar has been complete for over an hour now, but it's still sitting there, mocking me..
we been waiting for it now we are going too get it!
The coordinates are that of Tokyo City Hall.
