That does sound about right, however I was hoping there wouldn't be too many insect-like monsters. We won't know until the movie, but I wanna see another reptilian creature. Or serpent creature. Hell something even as big as Godzilla!

If it were to be completely realistic, then the ray itself shouldn't be visable. But what fun is it in that? I do like red, especially with Godzilla 2000. Blue is just more fitting. Even so, it it recognizable to most fans. After all that was being used for so long until the 90's.

The only way the color Blue is hotter than Red is in reference to fire. Essentially, his atomic beam should be invisible until it hits something. So how are you going to say he breaths blue atomic radiation and say that's more believable(because it's hotter) than a red/orange beam of fire lol? Contradicting. If Godzilla breathed fire, it'd probably be blue because it'd be that hot. Atomic radiation, however, does not have a color. Have you ever seen a blue atmoic bomb explosion?

Well, the Pacific Rim Kaiju while badass aren't extremely powerful. I think that in a fight they'd have about the same chance as say Anguirus or Rodan. Putting up a pretty good fight but ultimately losing
Godzilla Vs Hedorah is one of my favorite of the Godzilla films so I agree there. And DAIKAIJU_DANIELLE, Gabara is definitely a great concept for a Kajiu (especially how you just described him) all he needs is a good update
Well from the movies we know that Godzilla tends to wade through cities at a pretty slow pace but is perfectly capable of moving at a pretty quick speed when he needs to, so I'd have to agree with the above comments

I think its been said it will be blue. Actually, blue makes sense to me. Blue is much hotter than red, and being that he is an atomic creature would mean he should be able to generate incredible heat. Also, Godzilla is mistaken for a "Fire" breathing monster, and having it red would only support that myth. He breaths atomic radiation(Which Im sure you all know). In addition, blue is his trademark and a characteristic that shouldn't be changed since he is being rebooted. Also, he shouldn't have to "Charge up" to a great extent. If the energy is there, he should be able to access it. Of course only use it in do or die situations. Think about a snake that spits poison, or an eel that gives burst of electricity, there is no noticeable "Charge".
Now I definitely agree with that! Varan is one of my favorite Kaiju. You're also probably right, the more non fantastical approach is probably where any future kaiju movies will go

If you saw Smaug, his firebreath looked awesome. Blue wouldn't be believable to be honest. I would rather it be red/ orange than blue. I'd also like Godzilla to not be able to control his breath at first. Like it'd take him time to learn to charge it up and use it properly. But apparently he's going to be around for 50 years or so already so I'm sure hes gunna be a pro!
I would actually really like to see Varan make a comeback. I don't care what anyone says, he's a badass monster goddammit, and I want to see him in more movies and fighting other monsters. Besides him, I maybe want to see Anguirus, Rodan, and possibly Mothra. Only the ones that aren't too fantastical have a chance of being in this new franchise. Like, they may have King Ghidorah in the reboot sequels(if they even have a chance of being made) but he probably won't be a dragon from space.
I hope he moves like a bear. No, I don't mean I hope he moves on all fours, I mean that I hope he moves slowly and intimidatingly for most of the movie. And then for the fight scenes, he'll have these short bursts of running or charging at his opponent.

Also thank you GODKILLA2000 I was hoping this would be a cool topic (: Gamera really does deserve a reboot. I personally would love to see Spacegodzilla or Hedorah come back. So let's hope this movie is the hit the big G deserves and we start seeing more Kaiju in the big screen
They'd better ramp up marketing, and fast!
Domestic: 140-250 million. 3D sales, along with an aging (people taking their kids/grandkids) and avid fan base will do most of the work. If it's marketed well, it will see the top end on this.
Worldwide total: Around 360-550 million. Again, depends on marketing. I can't see this movie being a flop, but a moderate success seems likely. I know I will be doing my part.
With a budget of 160 million, it's probably going to need a little over twice that to warrent a sequel.
P.S. I really hope I'm wrong, and it blows my expectations out of the water.
He never said he was directing one. He simply stated that he'd like too. It will DEFINETELY not ever happen if this movie doesn't become a hit. Which is very possible that it'll be a shadow amongst the other movies. Who knows. Besides all that, I would like to see a modern creation of the earthly organic Godzilla enemies. None of that space/alien/robot stuff.

DRAGONLORD TEVIN, while an 800 Million dollar haul would be really amazing, I don't think the film will even come close to that high a gross. Godzilla's image was ruined by America back in 98, and also, that film was marketed like CRAZY. It still didn't do well. I'm trying to think realistically here, 500 Million is what I see as max.

Well im just gonna guess worldwide all time;
Godzilla will probably make more money in Japan of course, cuz of since its sooo popular over there right now, but in America, it depends on how many good advertisements it gets and all those stuff to make people unfamiliar to Godzilla to wanna go watch it.
So finally, and its my guess and study, cuz right now im looking at the all time worldwide box office, that by the time its not in theathers anymore, its probably gonna come somewhere at the 40THS PLACE, and will make probably about $800 MILLION DOLLARS.

It was confirmed a long time ago that Vancouver was where part of the San Fransisco set is. Godzilla will no be attacking Vancouver in the movie. They even had San Fransisco signs and police cars at the Vancouver set.
