This where I usually remind people that most early cuts for almost every film is 5 hours or more and has to be whittled down.

And quite Frankly, he is shit at storytelling. 5 hours total filmed and he couldn’t even try to include more story. Why was Ren even there? Why does Josh exist? Why not include the scenes where the guy finds his brother’s broken ship? Could have been a good moment that brought team Kong together where Jia and the women help home cope. Where are they getting skull crawlers? Also, show don’t tell. Show me Kong saving Jia, show me Godzilla looking physically tired and injured to 50% like Adam said in his interview. Bleeding wounds from the axe and whatnot. He really didn’t deliver anything impressive but the CGI was good and the fight ok. Just didn’t deliver much of anything else and cut way too much.

I mean, yeah, it's a movie about two giant monsters, big monke and big lizard, having basically a death battle. AND it was a battle that happened way back in the 60s, and we wanted a rematch. People love that stuff.

This is so funny to watch. 

Yes they do occasionally need help. But the thing about Kong is that he never needed help before. He always managed to survive alone and even took title as king and alpha of Skull island. But fair, maybe a little assistance every now and then, but it was literally every fight scene Kong needed to be saved. Even against the warbats which he should have been able to handle alone without the help. Kong looked like he couldn’t win a single fight without someone saving him. It’s Kong Kong, put some respect on his name. They couldn’t just make him Look like he was a powerhouse for one moment in the movie or actually do any real serious damage to Godzilla. Movie is called GvK and Kong didn’t come close to even looking like he was actually going to win even with the axe. It’s pretty clear Adam is more of a Godzilla fan so just give him a Godzilla movie and Give Kong to someone that actually wants to make Kong look like a total badass king that thrived against the odds despite being alone for his whole life surrounded by monsters that want to kill you. Get the guy who directed Skull island or find someone else.

I felt bad for Kong at the end of GvK like he needs a family.  He was really excited to find them braving hollow Earth wich he clearly was not a fan of, then just finds bones and his only friends are basically insects. Godzilla wont even hang out with him. Yeah they need to make Son of Kong, just hope its nothing like the original Son of Kong. That was a extremely depressing film and after Kong's shitty childhood he deserves a happily ever after. Would be really nice if the Kongs became allies with Rhedosaurus!

As for Godzilla... they did give him a proper send off. I dont want them to fuck that up. However clearly shin and singulair point are so far off that Toho is just trying to find a team that can do the job and no one can replace Tsuburaya or Kawakita so it's a constant reboot and they keep fucking it up. Legendary needs to get the contract back unless Toho is willing to go back to a traditional Godzilla using suitmation and show some respect for the Dragons damn it.

I'm so in for a Godzilla monsterverse game. A Mortal Kombat style game would be so cool but I imagine something like where the characters are colossal and buildings and stuff surrounding them looks tiny and they destroy the city while fighting. While playing you will feel the destruction they cause if you know what I mean. I love Mortal Kombat so much that I've been abroad last month to rent a property in France for my company and we ended up playing Mortal Kombat all week with my brother on his couch who lives there for over 5 years. I could barely finish my business there.. 

Behemoth is a big mean dude. I'd wet myself right away if I've seen it in reality. 

en I'm kinda good with that, I mean maybe in the hollow earth we might get to see some classic kaijus like Baragon, Varan, Anguirus, or gorosaurus IF they make it into the monsterverse for the next kong film.

sorry I forgot some of those its been since 2014 which is the last time I watched a Showa and Heisei movie. I never reached the Millennium series and never saw Gamera or King Kong Escapes

Just because he won't be in the next movie (which makes sense if it's focused directly on Kong), it doesn't necessarily mean that he will be omitted from the series completely. They could take a short break before bringing him back.

At the very least I hope that they can put him in at least one more movie, so that they can give him a proper send-off (the series started with him, it should end with him).

Half Century War is the only Godzilla comic I've found worthy of a film adaptation. It's also one of the few western written Godzilla stories that really seem to delve into what Godzilla is all about from a traumatic level. Definitely one of the best Godzilla stories in recent years.
