Larger audience? I don't know about that... Seems like everyone voting on this thing are just rabid niche groups. How else do you explain The Rover beating Captain America 2, Noah beating Tranformers, Tracers beating The Hobbit and Veronica Mars beating Guardians of the Galaxy?
Seems like a pretty superfluous to me. Unless all these winning movies are destined to do better at the boxoffice than the ones they're beating-- which I highly doubt.
I do agree it'd be a blow to some rabid Vampire/Twilight fans. I'm down for that too.
GMAN2887 I really wanna agree with you, but I just studied the trailer again, Godzilla looks only about 2 blocks away from the building but still looks bigger than the building. Just watch and im pretty sure youll see too
While the 350 ft. mention does not come off as indisputable, it does make perfect sense. Gareth Edwards commented that his Godzilla was 'Just about' the tallest ever, and 350 is only 5 ft. off of my original estimate using modern American architecture and the Godzilla enctouner footage to estimate his height between 355-450ft.
Again, this 350 ft. comment is hardly indisputable, so take it too with a grain of salt, but it does confirm that Godzilla will not be anywhere near the 779' mark that some wonderful geniuses on this site have claimed.

I don't think it really matters, but for the sake of argument it might just be the angle from which the shot takes place. It looks like Godzilla might be a little further out from the building from a high angle, making him look similar in height as the building.

I understand and agree with what you're getting at. I think this was addressed very well in Edward's most recent quote:

A cartoon series? I would be first in line to stop it. It wont work.
HOWEVER...Instead of a cartoon series, what about straight to dvd animated movies, done in the same way as the Hellboy: Animated movies?. Those we`re entertaining, but still kept a dark tone. Kids could watch them, but it was clearly aimed at older fans. I would love that.
With a cartoon series, they would have to limit Godzilla ALOT. But in a straight to dvd movie, they wont have to ridicule themselves.

But on topic of his size. For me, 350-400 feet is absolutely fine by me. 500 feet is A BIT exxagerated, but i`ll live.
By the way, why would you want to prove he isnt hunched? The prototype model doesnt prove anything. But everything else we have seen does. Posters, the trailer, ETC.

It matters in the sense that a victory would get the Godzilla movie announcement out to a larger audience which it severely needs right now.
Listen this discussion is not about Godzilla sleep walking it,s about Godzilla,s size and the reason why i thought godzilla was sleeping in the trailer was because for 1 i found this close up picture of Godzilla from the trailer and he,s eyes we,re closed and also why are you starting too get mad at me? look i don,t want too start arugring with you but this discussion is not about if Godzilla is going too be sleep walking or not but anyways just forget about the sleep walking said about.

If you are "more older then a kid" then act like it. Also, he's not wrong. In a lot of your posts you do come off as an immature kid, due to your bad sentence structure and terrible spelling. What do you mean by "why would you think the movie will have Godzilla spleepwalking " when that's exactly what you suggested in the first place? Don't say that he can't join the discussion if he doesn't agree, that's almost as bad as the whole "if you don't like it, then don't watch it" argument. That's the whole point of creating these discussions, for people to suggest ideas that others are either going to agree or disagree with. If you can't handle that, then either man up or don't create a discussion that includes an idea as silly as "hey, what if Godzilla is sleep walking?".

They are much smaller by comparison to the rest of his body than the 2000 version. Watching the trailer with the brightness at max and a slight color enhancement will show you his spines rather clearly during the lightning flashes.

Ultimately, this poll doesn't matter at all. But it's fun for fans of different movies to feel like their supporting their respected film in some way, I guess.
