Some nice Discussion fodder!

Now, that is not absolute fact, but it is interesting to note. Gareth Edwards claimed during an interview with IGN the day before the Godzilla Encounter that his Godzilla was "just about" the tallest ever. That 350 foot statement would fit that bit of information perfectly.
Now... Some geniuses on this site claimed that his height was 779' because they saw the official trailer and thought his height was the same as the 555 building in the foreground of the soldier's POV.
So wait guys, let me get this straight... More than doubling his tallest incarnation in film eqautes to "just about" the tallest Godzilla ever?
Now I'm not trying to be mean, but there is such a thing as stupidity. In the face of all the facts, including Gareth's interview statements, that were presented up to and before that time, there's really no excuse for making such a ludicrous statement about his height. Some, including one on a previous thread I posted about the same subject, claimed to trust his education and what his eyes told him, as well as his background in photography. So, your education, eyes, and background in photography didn't teach you that the POV angle was a trick of the camera and that Godzilla was nowhere near the same height as that building? Yeah, you sound credible.
In my previous thread I used the Godzilla encounter footage in combination with modern American architectural floor to floor measurements to speculate on Godzilla's height, and my estimations were between 355-450 feet tall. The low end is only 5 feet off the mark from this article, which says something about the speculation I presented. If it's matching a published article, there's got to be something to it. Remember that modern American architectural design plans and floor to floor measurements are facts and hard data. Creating speculation off of facts and hard data makes the speculative statement infinitely more credible than a random saying 'oh he looks this tall so he must be that tall.'
Know what I mean?
So here's the discussion fodder: Do you think the published article is accurate? If so, do you think that it's also time for all of us to stop bickering about his height and accept the fact that the 779' guessers were wrong and should admit it and move on? Or do you think that this is still debatable? Remember that this article may be published and credible, but it's still only the author's speculation as well so we don't know for sure how accurate their guess is. Perhaps they're dead wrong and Godzilla is 779' tall.
(But I doubt it, and I know that my original estimations being 5 feet off the mark presented by the article is going to catch some hate as well since it was almost exact ;D)
Anyway, do you think that the facts point to the article being accurate or not?
