really as most of you have pointed out, he has to be near indestructible to all forms of human weaponry including WMDs, i'd suppose the MUTOs could damage him enhancing that only monster/nature can be effective against monsters/nature, i'm hoping he still has his regenerative powers.
godzillafan1995Godzilla 2014 ForumAmerican Godzilla Atomic Breath debateJan 25, 2014Reply
i think it should be a comination of the classic blue millenium breath with gman123's idea, where it should be explosive but can instanly vapourize anything near the breaths impact radius. also he shouldn use it very limited in the film to keep it's awe and awsomeness. the concentarted steam may seem realistic but for a huge budget cgi hollywood film most audiences are going to find that a bit boring. (remember dragonabll evolution)

I think that those are really funny. I love the stick figure designs. It actually makes the first three drawings quote humorous. The last one though has to be my favorite though!

Maybe something incredibly powerfull like the hammerdown-protocol they used in Cloverfield, could probably stagger him, STAGGER him. Make him sway a bit atleast. But all the big damage is most likely MUTO caused.
I think that would be really cool! That would show just how powerful Godzilla is and how humans have no hope of winning.

Like a, well, "atomic" weapon, I believe that the atomic breath should just be a concentrated stream of instantaneous vaporization of anything it makes contact with bar the largest of rival monsters. No explosions everywhere or a simply pushing debris around. If it collides with a building, it should just leave a big atomic breath width-sized hole that's nearly molten around the edges and causes geiger-counters to go ballistic.

That is an interesting take on it. I sure hope he will be portrayed as a force of destructive nature.
I would love for Godzilla to look down at tanks, or up ant jets and just be unphased.

yeh i agree, the millenium blue godzilla beam seems more powerful and just has an awe to it, the vapour breath from the early showa just seems too weak and unimpressive.

First!;)
It will most likely be something similar to the Atomic Breath from the more recent Godzilla films. I just hope that the color and sound are the same as the classic Atomic Breath

I can see him getting scared and bitten by a muto. I'm not sure if tanks will do anything. Godzilla seems to have alligator like armored skin which is nearly impoissible to penetrate with a rifle so pretend the tank is a rifle...since Godzilla is much bigger it shouldnt do anything but bounce off
Judge BagginsGodzilla 2014 ForumGodzilla Taking DamageJan 25, 2014Reply
You bring up a good point. I honestly think that Godzilla will only be damaged by one of the Mutos. The reason for my thinking is because Gareth and Elizabeht Olsen have talked about it in interviews. They stated that he is basically a force of nature. If that is the case, I cannot see any artillery hurting him. It is the equivalent of firing artillery at a hurricane or a tornado. They are not going to do anything. If one of the Mutos is near the size or as big as Godzilla though, it could damage him. It would be one force of nature against another.

no trailer by wanerbros is being shown in the super bowl also as gman2887 has said multiple times, putting a trailer during the superbowl is beyond expensive, even for a short teaser, hasn't been proven that super bowl movie trailers boost movie ticket sales and apparently the majority of people who watch the superbowl don't care and probably won't pay attention to a trailer of a big budget movie even if it is godzilla.

I predict that they will have a new trailer during the Superbowl. If you are going to release a trailer in Feb. for a huge Movie like Godzilla, wouldn't that be place to do it?

THAN YOU daikaiju danielle, why is it that everyone wants destoryah or a destoryah like monster just because he is a creature born from the oxygen destoryah, there are better options from destoryah.

Enough with the Destroyah theories!

i think a biollante like monster would be a better option than a destoryah monster, her movie was quite dark and her 2nd form is pretty scary.
GODZILLA HIMSELFGodzilla 2014 Forum4 Monsters in Godzilla filmJan 25, 2014Reply
@godzillafan1995, if they ever decide to have a toho inspired monster, why not one like destroyah? he definetly fits the dark tone of the new film and i think that a lot of mainstream movie go-ers would like destroyahs design as opposed to something like hedorah who, no offense to hedorah fans, looks a lot like a walking turd. im basically saying that desroyah would make the most sence to revamp, just imagine what a big budget destroyah would look like

A nice fan drawing, but ultimately it's just that: a fan drawing.
Whatever Godzilla's opponents look like, we don't know anything for certain yet regarding their physical appearances. Wings, multiple legs... That's great and all, but what does it really say? Is the multi-legged MUTO a spider, a centipede, a beetle larvae, a caterpillar? Is the winged MUTO a moth, a bird, a flying squirrel?
The point is that with or without the tiny bits of info we've collected, we don't know anything for certain about them. The creatures used in the Comic Con teasers were meant only to tease what Legendary is going for, not to display the final designs of the creatures themselves. So for those who are trying to say "I FOUND SOMETHING!!", just give it a rest. None of us know what the MUTOs look like yet or what they're capable of or exactly how big they are or how many body parts can split into however many segments.
Just relax and enjoy the information we have. The next trailer will be around sometime within the next month or so, maybe a tad longer, and the movie itself is only about three and a half months away. You can afford to be patient and wait for solid facts to become known before throwing out speculation and claiming it as hard evidence or fact.
InstinctiveGiganGodzilla 2014 ForumNew Godzilla Trailer for Feb. 7th Confirmed?!?Jan 25, 2014Reply
No offense, Kyero but you don't have a lot of research yourself. Movie_maniac_ stated that the Godzilla trailer would be released with the Hobbit and it did. If you knew anything about this stuff you would know that trailers are released online officially days before the theatres in the movie it's being released alongside. He said it was gonna be with the Hobbit Nov 4th, more than a month before the Hobbit's release; he's the most credible source we have IMO other than Legendary and WB themselves. In addition, the company is partnered with Warner Bros. and has made the same accurate claims as movie_maniac_. Don't be such a sour puss everytime you comment. Opinions are great and all but you're not always right; especially with your misinformation.

KyeroGodzilla 2014 ForumSomething i found outJan 25, 2014Reply
I'm not seeing anything but static on screen. A lot of people fall for the optical illusions that make you think you're seeing something when it's not really there, and I'm about 95% positive that's what's happening here with you guys who are reading too much into these things. Static on screen can look like just about anything, and the chances that there's actually an eye flashing by is pretty slim when you consider what footage has been released thus far.
And what makes some of you so certain that this eye you're seeing is in fact a MUTO eye. Do you have proof of that? A source that confirms such a suspicion?
Remember, it's not fact until everyone can prove its legitimacy. If you are watching this video and confirming it within your own mind that this is in fact a MUTO eye, you're speculating, not stating a fact. You need to learn the difference.
KyeroGodzilla 2014 ForumNew Godzilla Trailer for Feb. 7th Confirmed?!?Jan 25, 2014
I don't want to burst bubbles here, but every single trailer prediction out there has been proven wrong and I have absolutely zero faith in these "sources."
The first Godzilla trailer didn't debut with the Hobbit like this same individual claimed, it was released online a few days before the Hobbit even hit theaters. The only reason we knew about it was because of Legendary's announcement of it. Nobody "discovered" that date or predicated the release.
The link above titled "This" has an author named Emile Eid, and that is… who again? Nobody? I thought not.
The second link was to who, that failed trailer prediction nut called Oleg Gaiko. He tried to predict not only the trailer, but the length of it as well. He failed on both accounts. He only changed his "prediction" after he heard about Legendary releasing it on December 10th, but he never gave credit to them for that and was also predicting the same things that a lot of other fans were predicting before that such as the November 3rd release which turned out to be complete bull.
Why are we even bothering to look for this anymore, let alone from him?
Just wait for Legendary okay? This single topic is more annoying than any other debate going on within this site. The other debates, at least in part, have more interesting topics and more room for actual intellectual discussion and debate. This topic is just cannon fodder for people to try and be on the "winning" prediction team for personal gratification.
The next trailer will drop when it drops. Just be patient and let it come to us. It's not like Legendary's finished with their trailers yet. They still have about three and a half to four months to go before Godzilla hits theaters.
