Dude, bring back Gezora to fight Godzilla.
I guess I'm in the minority. When I first heard about this movie my first thought was "omfg..." My second thought was "how bad ass would it be if he fought king ghidora?" To me this movie represents a new beginning, back to basics godzilla. i want to see the original foes...the ones I grew up with as a kid...KG, anguirus, rodan (I'm not sure if Mothra would work)
seeing those guys in a serious, realistic, big budget American film would make me feel like a 10 year old again.
im not convinced of the 350 ft thing either, it wasn't taken from any quotes, it was just used in the article to describe godzilla in general and it seems like someone just rounded up from his heisi/ final wars height.
Id like to imagine that theyre going to leave somesort of hint at the end which implies that Godzilla is still alive but not quite, so that if they can make a sequel, they can follow off from this movie and not create a whole new story to bring him back.
Like at the end of King kong vs Godzilla, they both fall into the sea, Kong rises but you don't actually know if Godzilla was killed or not. Its not very likely that he would have died, perhaps he swam away and Kong was attempting to swim after him - thus why he swam out to sea for some reason. But anyway they should keep it mysterious at the end I think.
i would like a cameo or some kind of homeage to king ghidorah, but not a full appearance, at least not for a long time, hes overused. a homage to destroyah or even just destroyah with a modified backstory would look sooooo epic. i think that a bit farther down the road, a revamped space godzilla could be cool. he could be like some godzillla from another universe and have a sort of galactus behavior to him, also i would replace the cristals with bone and replace any pinkish colloration with i dunno, red i guess. i also think titanasaur, anguirus, and maybe rodan have potential. as for mothra, i never understood why people liked it, even the g fans. i dunno, maybe theres something i need to see, but right now(no offense to mothra fans) i really hate the whole concept of mothra, its among the cheesiest ever and i don't think general audiances would think mothra would be cool. however what i could see happen with mothra is this; say that at some point in the new series there are aliens, mothra, battra, and maybe ghidorah and ceaser, could be their dieties or sommething like that. i also love the idea of biolante making a comeback. in the end i think that if they use any monsters from toho that they will be the underused ones like biolant, titanosaur, destroyah(god i hope so) and so on.
hmmmm.... let's see old monsters like gigan, megalon, titanosaurus, hedorah, and possibly even varan even though him godzilla really never did fight
the movie doesnt take place in 1954 only a couple of scenes are set back then from what ive heard

It's obvious that people are a little sick of King Ghidorah, but I think he'd be the most interesting to see what big budget Hollywood could do with. He's a monster from outer space, you can do so much with that, hell, he doesn't even need to be on Earth. While I agree thta he has been slightly overused, I think he deserves his own movie without being under the shadow of Godzilla or Mothra.
It looks like the Moto will really look like that.

It definately does look like a mixture of 2000 and 2014. Something to take note of, Toho, when you inevitable bring back the next Godzilla series
I'd be eager to see just about any of the classic Toho monsters done by Hollywood, only to see what they do with their design and how well they translate to the realistic look of sci-fi today. But I can do without another Mothra appearance for another 20 years or so.
My question is: if they're HALO-jumping in to rescue/retrieve anybody or anything, why are they jumping right on top of Godzilla? Unless I'm missing something, wouldn't it be better to jump into the city AWAY from him?

i'd would prefer gigan, megalon titanosaurs and biollante in homage forms, infact i think titanosaurs as a whole monster would be cool. he was unique and has only been in 1 film.
its okay dude. i dont think destroyah will be in any of the new movies anyway. id rather have something more iconic

well the oxygen destroyer is scientificaly imposible so we can exactly use that. and godzillafan1995 nobody said we want godzilla to die. this all hypothetical. we have no idea if he dies. i just wanted to see what ideas the community would have to respectfully kill him if garreth decided to go that route in the future
@LinkZilla That would be an instant box office success for the 3rd Godzilla movie's ending. That idea would be perfect.
Yes humans should ultimately be the ones to stop him. He may represent a mistake in the first one but as the series progresses, which it hopefully will, would the characters and society as a whole not learn from that mistake? The ultimate way to rectify that mistake is for the humans to be the ones to conquer him.
I wonder if the Godzilla 2000 suit at the Godzilla Encounter was sort of a first look as to what Godzilla would look like...Because G2014 looks a lot like G2000 in my opinion...which is absolutely awesome!
Of course there are some obvious differences....G2014 spikes are much more haphazard and shattered looking, everytime I see a pic similar to this of G2014, I cant help and think of G2000...
I honestly believe Gareth took G54 and G2000...and sort of hit a sweet spot between the two...
This new design is a God-send in my opinion...I love everything about it! I even like the feet! (Don't see what the issue is there! Honestly never thought the original TOHO Godzilla's could nail the feet! The toes always stuck upwards in a strange fashion and never seemed to look right when they walked!)
But hey, that's my opinion...

so durp you want godzilla weakened and attacked by humans, the one thing that shouldn't be able to defeat him, the theme of this new movie is that godzilla is something humaity cannot defeat as it is their mistake to have him in a ;last stand with humanity, that may sound good but that still ruins what godzilla represents, a force of nature that humanity is responsible for, if humanity has even one chance of defeating him, they will not learn as a whole.
als i wasnt specifically saying that this isn't a fans movie in that way, i was saying in a way where it is not going to be any of the previous godzilla movies except for a similar theme to gojira but it maybe different to that. also i meant in the fact that there will be no toho monsters and that would be pretty stupid to do, orginal monsters are a better option.

also even a general will be pissed if he dies even in sequels this movie might have. the only way for godzilla to have a good honourable death that is good is to have a son, but that sounds cheesy and audiences may get confused with a godzilla jr bein his biological son and think g is female like in 1998.
To say a movie is not made for the fans is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Sure it can also encourage other people to get into the series, but at heart it's trying, as Edwards has said multiple times, to stay true to the source material and not upset the fans.
As for how he would die, I'd like the final movie to have him just fighting an unstoppable Kaiju that seems impossible to beat, then after Godzilla finally beats the monster but is gravely wounded. Humans use this chance and attack the weakened monster with everything they have as the final scene is Godzilla making a last stand against the humans he's been fighting so long.
why would you want him to die, more importantly why on earth would they use the GvsD plot/ending that would bethe stupidist thing to do, why does everyone think they willl use destoryah at somepoint, i'd rather see a homage of megalon than anything linkedto destoryah, the heisei series maybe the best but thats mostly because of godzilla not the monsters, also this is a movie for a those who haven't taken godzilla seriously and for a new generation, this is not a movie made for fans.

There's misleading information about the Muto toy (somebody apparently doesn't read news so often) so don't care about that!
I doubt they will kill him but if they do I will be a bit mad.
It is hard to tell if it is legit or not. I think it is fan made. Still cool though :)
