To be honest, the one from the Brazil leak looks too childish. Glad they changed him up a bit. Looks like an eagle/bear/dog

interesting, anyway somebody could lighten up the picture and repost it.  I think i can faintly make out a hand or two in the bottom right but not easy to see.  

also after 54 there have been only 4 nuclear weapon testing in the pacific in the spam of 7-9 years, this can work in the movie i suppose

i did a little research on nuclear testing in the pacific and there was only 1 test in 1954 which was the one i mentioned, the reason i'm explaining this is becuase i thought that i could've been a underwater bomb that woke up godzilla, but becuase godzilla was awaken in 1954 then castle bravo is the only canidate if it was a nuke test that woke him, all other 'tests' in the pacific after 54 were attempts to kill him. thats all i can tell, we will know the truth when the Godzilla: The Awakening prequel comic is released.

Edit: i didn't research it good enough, i confused the names of the operations for the tests, there was 6 tests under the name of Operation Castle (which included Bravo, which was the first test of the operation) 1 in 1955 (operation Wigwam) 17 in 1956 (Operation Redwing), 35! in 1958 (Operation Hardtack I) and 36!! in 1962-3 (Operation Domonic), wow now that is a lot of tests, you can't tell me that ALL those tests were attemps to kill godzilla, 1. that means they tried it for 10 year and 2. that is a lot of nukes used against godzilla add all those nukes in the pacific from 54-63 and you get 95 NUKES!!!

I think the MUTO's are a major threat for human lives than Godzilla, and that's why they guide Godzilla to the fight. It's the least bad option

Maybe, but I thinks, that if this is truth, course, they won´t make direct references to all that disasters, potencially, they will "create" disasters, based on real ones. For example, in the theory of Indian Ocean Tsunami, that happens in the morning, but in the trailer we can see the scene into darkness, in the night, maybe a indirect reference.

also from what we have seen, this godzilla has already shown that he can do more compared to previous godzilla suits in terms of movement (epescially the way he roars) and emergence from the sea

yeah i completly understand, so far i am liking legendarys godzilla more than 90's godzilla, and that was my favourite godzilla suit, he looks strong, tough (definatly looks like he has super strong armour) and above all he looks like an actual organic creature, the one problem i had with the suits is that sometimes the sking is too loose and flappy.

yeah he has that 6 pack armour by the looks of the design on Empire Magazine. i know it was a long time since you asked this but we got a legit answer on this now anyway.

i didn't see and want to see that 'script' i heard it was fake anyway, there is not 1954 serizawa, wantanbe's character is not going to die like he did in gojira, he is a serizawa in the 21st centuary that is who bryan cranston is talking, serizawa could either be, the head of MUTO or the leading scientist, i am hoping it is the latter

guys godzilla is 250 meters tall or 820 feet deal with it i am glad they made godzilla this huge why?

2. 1961 mothra's debut had a wingspan of 250 meters- dont believe me look it up on the toho monster bios.

3.godzilla is a force of nature that can not be stopped meaning his name means a wrath of god himself

Thats what i was thinking to when i saw it. I've been thinking about this for a while even before the trailer came out. Thinking how awesome i would be to see godzilla's atomic breath be red. Now since i saw the trailer i am really curious

I think Akira Takarada is going to be an older, present day Serizawa. So basically he's going to be the flash forward version of Ken Watanbe

Now it's POSSIBLE that Dr. Serizawa becomes Monarch, as part of his attempt find redemption and clean up what he help create in the past. But I don't think that's quite what they will go with. 

I think Richard T. Jones will be playing Monarch, since his character is billed on wikipedia as: "Mysterious Military Figure"

This is a bit of an art history/cultural thing, but hear me out: the Japanese Godzillas always seemed to have a muzzle more like a mammal than ANY kind of lizard. A dog or lion comes to mind. It occurred to me some time ago that, in ancient Chinese/Japanese sculpture and art, lions, dogs and DRAGONS all seemed to be represented much the same, and were all 'noble' animals. That's why you'd see their statues at building entrances so often, like library lions.

And when I saw Godzilla's roaring profile at the end of the first trailer, a dog or lion was EXACTLY what it looked like to me, more than a lizard.

Well imagine my surprise when Gareth Edwards said in a recent interview, that they were going for something like a 'dog or bear', with some 'eagle' thrown in, for it's 'noble' look! I was just flabbergasted to hear this!

I think Mr. Edwards has really been studying up on his Eastern Art for this project! And this pretty well 'bears' out your 'kodiak' comment, doesn't it?

The way the word was used on the M.U.T.O. Research page, it gave me more of the impression that "monarch" was some sort of anti-hacker software.

Not seeing any of that.  I see three people with hazmat suits on. I think everybody is reaching a bit with excitement.

Also, people tend to comepletely dismiss the idea that the filmakers could be flat-out lying to us about there not being any other Toho creatures in this film to protect the big shocking reveal when people go see the movie.

Mutos could have been created in the likenesses of other classic Toho Kaiju.

I am sorry for my selfish behavior displayed in this topic, guys. When I saw the Main Trailer, I was amazed at the design, then when empire displayed he full body figure, it just looked different than what the trailer displayed. So I realized that now, again I am sorry. Can't wait for the movie! XD

the trailer came out yesterday and people are excited for it. Multiple threads are going to get started on the same topic because not everyone lived on these boards get over it. Further we don't KNOW that it won't be Rodan. The possibility of classic kaiju being included was left open by Edwards long ago in addition to the new mutos. I actually suspected this being Rodan since I saw this pic, even before IGN suspected it in their rewind theater or anyone else suggested it. It would make sense though... Rodan attacks with supersonic shock waves that could send jets spiraling out of control. Further theories suggest Pteranadons dove into the water to target prey, folding their wings back behind them to accelerate the dive (which would explain the next shot of two  pointed objects disappearing into the water. It's not wishful thinking or denial, it's a very plausible conclusion. Get over yourself, people can suspect what they want and theorize what they want so long as it hasn't been explicitly stated by Legendary that it's not true. 

The leaked script is fake and there is only one godzilla. Iknow so because if they did it would be just like Godzilla 1998 with all those rapter eggs and that would be a disapointment.
