Just a question. I'm not saying your acusing me or anything but but have I been one of those bad people you have a problem with. Please be honest so if I am I can attempt to tone my behavior down a bit. It can't be toned down completely but at least a tiny bit. :)
@linkzilla
I saw at least two posts mentioning PJ.
That is where I got it. Regardless, can't stand the guy. If you like him, cool for you. I don't have to.
@ TW_G-Fan2014
Wow... just wow. The script is real-- its an early draft, but its real. Certain plot points have been changed in later revisions, but the essential story is there(Power plant melting down, godzilla being nuked, dead godzilla found in ice, two mutos, one flying, one not, I could go on and on about this). The more info released on the film, the more those 'couple points' turn into dozens and dozens of highly accurate comparisons. You think a fan just crapped out a random script that BAM, happens to go with the info we already have.... down to a T? If you believe that, I have a bridge to sell ya.
The last 'fan script" I saw was the Ironman 3 one and it got everything wrong-- fans aren't that good at guessing what hollywood is going to do, or even how hollywood operates... the fact i'm having to explain this to you is proof of that.
Nintendo couldn't stop pokemon leaks and the government couldn't stop Wiki-leaks, DO You really think that Legendary could prevent a script leak? Be realistic-- those 'resources' aren't strong enough to combat the all emcompassing power of information at INTERNET speed. Besides, its not even Legendary that would be going after the leakers, it'd be warner brothers.
Besides, it wasn't even a full leak, just a guy posting pictures of the script and someone else talking to him, corresponding with him, and revealing plot details.
But no matter what I say, you people are going to deny it-- so when the film comes out and you're eating a delicious crow sandwich, I won't be here to say "I told you so".
Tralala the Ding Ding Dong
UPDATE #2: Godzilla vs. Megalon release date and Special Features added based on information from Media Blaster's facebook replies to fans.
@AKAGI When did anyone ever say anything about Peter Jackson?
The leaked script had a few points that were lucky enough to be considered semi accurate, but it was just as full of bs as any leaked script that's made its way online. Legendary would never let their script leak online, and if it did, they'd have the resources to find who did it and fire their butts.
Anyway, that's neither here nor there. The main issue is Godzilla's radiation, yes?
Well, even at his size and with as much radiation as his body produces, no, wherever his feet fell would not be uninhabitable. Radiation leftovers from Godzilla's advancing through cities or wherever would not leave radiation levels that would be strong enough to kill humans or make a certain area uninhabitable. Radiation doesn't work that way. Wherever he walks, we'll find traces of radiation that might make you sick for a while, but it won't be enough to kill you or make an area uninhabitable.
Is it me or does the muto look like cloverfield monster but black with red high lights
Honestly-- I think this boat has sailed a long time ago. As much as I'd love to see it revisited in a respectful way, I just don't think it'll ever happen, sadly.
That being said, I'm fairly certain I don't want Peter Jackson any where near Godzilla. I wasn't really satisfied with his need to make Kong 3 hours long (with an excrutiating half-hour boat ride that made me want to jump off a cliff). Plus I don't think Jackson is that great of a director (Preparing for the hate, I aint scurred)-- he just doesn't seem to motivate his actors really well... But that is just me. I felt like his King Kong remake was really missing something, probably spirit... it just... had too much of something and not enough of what it really needed.
Plus that and the fact that Peter Jackson is an avid GODZILLA hater. Honestly, the more I see about PJ, the more I dsilike him.
I also don't think Deltoro would ever work with Peter Jackson after the whole Hobbit Fiasco.
Biderbeck,
Totally! I think you nailed it, and I do believe it's supposed to be Gigan. The hand hooks, face and head are a dead givaway, the rest is just a modern update to the classic design. I like how they took the Cloveefield design as inspiration, very cool.
gigan and clover had a baby :O
The Muto looks like the monster from Cloverfield.
Pretty cool. The monster looks a lot like cloverfield though...
Certainly not Rodan!
Holy crap! Can't wait to add this to my collection.

I just noticed that the M.U.T.O figure has 8 limbs including those little hands. So don't you think this might be the 8-legged M.U.T.O. Pssshhh, I forgot the normal M.U.T.Os are suppose to be smaller than Godzilla's foot, so this obviously means something. Oh, 8-legged M.U.T.O? And if not, then that just tells us that there might be another monster in the movie. Unless, like what KAIJUGROUPIE84 said,"Call me crazy guys, but I think that is the flying Muto, maybe it's like Otachi, and the wings are hidden." Great thinking, maybe it is the Winged M.U.T.O., maybe it's not, we'll wait and see.
Hell yes, we need a modern version. not spliced together for american's but made by both Toho and Universal. Like Godzilla is attacking Japan and the president of Japan contacts the President of the US who sends out a team to Skull Island to retreave King Kong and ships him to Japan where the epic fight takes place.
okay, the amount of leaked godzilla toy pics around here is too damn high!! lol! but i found this pic on facebook just a few moments ago!
can someone tell me how to make a discussion in here? because whenever i try, my computer says there is no forum selected? please help!
i hereby dub thee clovie-cooper-gyaos-rodan-otachi-xenomorph-promethian-queen bitch-if-its-an-insect-legion-irys-asaurus-stop-trying-to-fight-nature-the-third-
or just that large muto who might be the large destroyah 2.0 we've been speculating about .
or its just maguma but realy mad cuz they messed up his plastic surgery .
Wow, those colors are absolutely horrible. It's a kid's set, I get it, but why are the buildings army green and the bridge navy blue? I'd have gone with gray plastic for the buildings and red for the bridge, assuming it's the Golden Gate.
@SGG999, count the legs, there's eight, and no wings in sight, it's the eight-legged Muto.
Guys, i looked at the page of the description, its flying muto, not 8 legged.
I think it's interesting how the Muto's outer arms are orange while the rest are black. Perhaps the orange is a portrayal of the "charged punch" that we saw in the trailer, but stylized in a way that can be shown on the toy?
Thank you for answering his question KAIJUGROUPIE84. Since your question is answered, I'm going to lock this thread.
@Akagi
I don't disagree, there's not much that can be done about that except isolating some conversation. It won't fix the problem, but it might contain it a little better. If you have other ideas, I'm all ears.
Wooooooooooooooow!!! The first image of the eight leg muto.
The moster looks like an alien monster with a mix of cloverfield.
Good new monster, I like it very much. :o)
this is the second time i've been beat to posting a topic of a new leaked toy, lol. but this toy look freaking RAD! and it's cool how now we get a really good glimps at one of the new mutos! I wonder where he got this pack?
Does anyone have a link to this?
@WRSMOV, yeah I see the Legion in the head, the body of Clover and/ or Otachi, and a little bit of the alien from Super 8 (I think it's the way the double set of arms are placed)
the face of muto looks like legion from camera and the body from gloverfield.
i tweeted him if he could take some closeups of the monster, he tweets back:
"I don't, but I'll take some tmrw!"
so expect a better look tomorrow
1, 2, 3...yep, I'm wrong, eight legs, I see that now.
@Gman
Everyone here takes every little mouse fart of information, credible or not, as absolute fact-- but only when said fact works in favor of their own personal theories and wishful thinking.
I.E. the whole two day Rodan fiasco and the fake bandai toy bits...
@Svanya
I think some people just misunderstand with the way speculation is given and take it as fact. It happens.
I really do want to hear more from members, you, Jordan, I.Gigan and Chris about stickying more broad topics and containing things a little better. It won't stop people from making duplicate topics, immediately, but they might take a hint...
