No one knows yet. From what we know so far, they are partially bioluminescent, but that's about it. One has eight legs and one can fly, now you're as up to speed as everyone else haha.
They do look like my bottom peice there (thanks for using that one haha) yeah, again fake I know the deviant who did the drawing of the top one. That was based on the SDCC 2013 footage that was seen.
Don't worry about it, it was a monster used in a proof of concept trailer for San Diego Comic Con in 2012. It didn't have a name, and it won't be featured in the movie. And that picture is fake, I know the person on DeviantArt who drew the original. If "Coming to toy store near you" doesn't tell you it's fake, I don't know what will.
Pretty sure that's a fake. There's nothing on Bandai's site, or their twitter about those stills people keep showing. Unless it was only posted on their facebook which I don't have so I can't check I'm gonna say there's a huge chance those images are fake.
Kaijugroupie84, could you please put a spoiler warning before saying anything about the leaked script? Most people won't come into a thread like this expecting to be spoiled, so you really should give us a warning if you want to talk about plot details that haven't already been revealed by the trailers/merchandise.
I think what is finally helping Godzilla get more attention is that people realize how different it is from most recent blockbuster movies. Regardless of whether The Amazing Spider-Man 2, X-Men: Days of Future Past, Guardians of the Galaxy, etc., end up being either good or bad, they'll still be just more superhero movies in the recent wave of them. In contrast, Cloverfield and Pacific Rim are pretty much the only giant monster movies released in the equivalent timeframe, and Godzilla has much, much better marquee value than any other giant monster.
Yes, like you said the trailer views is only a small part of the box office, I actually think it takes no part at all at the box office.
It's still in the package and compared to how bad the last 1 looked while in the package and then in the photos afterwards it looked much better so I can't say much yet.
I will agree that it seems very similar in design to the other and not at big fan of that
They are most certainly NOT going for a Cloverfield crossover. Bad Robot is Bad Robot and Legendary is Legendary. But the fact remains that Edwards is pulling from the Cloverfield design, and considering that the Cloverfield monster is fresh in our minds (Cloverfield wasn't all that long ago), its an odd direction to go with.
I don't mind it all *that* much, but in the same fashion that I hope Godzilla looks much better than his toy counterpart, I hope MUTO looks more imposing than his figure.
@ThePike, it looks fantastic, I'm in awe haha I wish I do stuff like that, keep it up!
KAIJUGROUPIE84, the original is pencil and then recently I did some slight tinkering in photoshop. Mostly I played with the highlights and shadows on Godzilla, as well as adjusted some of the textures on his face.
so i'am the only 1 that lives in Austin,Texas but anyways tinnsel town
CINEMARK TINSELTOWN 20
Wow... this is unfortunate. Daikaiju_Danielle breaks a HUGE and awesome story, our first glimpse of the Winged Muto, and the thread decends into bickering and snide remarks. Very depressing. Thank you Daikaiju_Danielle for sharing this information with us all! I, for one, love the designs for both Muto's, and can't wait to see more images of toys and, eventually, a glimpse of the film versions! :)
dude this is badass i bet my art techer cant draw this. this AWESOME
Apparently, they've popped up in a few toy stores so far and people have snatched them off the shelves as quick as they were put there. As for the prices of these figures, it ranges from about $9 to $60.
all i wnat is the muto and godzilla destution pack the single one i hope they go to toys r us
@KaijuFan2014, I thought they were just Bandai, I thought Creation specialized in the vinyl figs? I know I saw Bandai on the boxes, but the vinyl figures always have "Creation" below the Bandai logo.
welcome dude glade to have here
Whoa O_O did you use charcoal or pencil?
You guys are pieces of work. These are Bandai Creation.
GravyZilla@ One....don't put religion into this debat......two.... the light your stating is godzilla's atomic breath so no don't go into the light....and three...........Stop being a perve because I have watched the halo jump seen a million times and I don't see two godzilla's raping eachother and sex I promis you will not be included in this film
I'm a little late to the party, but, yes, welcome! :D
I see all the plausable connections to Cloverfield but IF this is what they came up with for an opponent, Im disappointed. Dont feel it...
I too saw that tease for a Godzilla Bandai figure, I REALLY hope they do. I want a 6.5" Vinyl of this guy to add to complete the chronology of Godzilla figures!
Gravyzilla@ Yes yes I see. You think that the leaked MUTO toy is a rip off of otachi from pacific rim. But just for your information that otachi idea might have been Gareth Edwards idea first because he did state that he and the director of pacific rim extanged idea's with eachother. Also I think Gareth Edwards is starting to get annoyed because no matter how many times he tells you you still don't get that there are no Toho monsters in this movie...maybe a homage but not the exact monster. And I highly object that there is more than one Godzilla. If there is more then one godzilla then it just shows that godzilla is weak and needs more of his kind to take these MUTO creatures down and the military, if we only have one godzilla then it will prove how powerfull one godzilla can be. This movie will stick to the original toho godzilla. More then one big G doesn't really show that he is king of the monsters now does it?
@DopePope, I do have the character sheet I did of the Big G here, http://www.godzilla-movies.com/community/forums/topic/32182
Why are you guys complaining? Haven't you seen how inaccurate all of the Godzilla toys are? Plus, look at the toy and how cheap it is. We dont't really have a good movie potrayal of the other monsters yet. Chill lol
I think you'll fit in nicely. :)
DOPEPOPE, Awesome work! Man, I'm jealous. Your green gargantuan is killer. I would love to learn how to use zbrush one of these days.
Definitely hit me up when you do. I'd love to see more. That piece is killer! I also do Godzilla and kaiju artwork, but in 3D with zbrush. Have a look. http://www.godzilla-movies.com/community/forums/topic/30792
Dang that is so cool. The face on the other monster is so ugly and scary, but it really works. Nice work man.
Hey DOPEPOPE, I do have a few more Godzilla pics I did back in the day. I may get around to posting them some time in that Fan Art Forum. I just have to dig them up. Thanks for asking!
Looking good. try inking them. Any more artwork?
if you watch the IGN video where they talk about 20 minutes of the movie they saw, they mention a huge surprise that is shown during the halo jump AND the train scene. They also mentioned there is clues to what it is in their trailer review, if you watch that the only predictions they make is that rodan is in a scene.... so is it that much of a reach to say they paid a licensing fee with their cogillion dollar budget to bring in a twist?
Looks awesome! Have any more?
I hope Bandai makes a 2014 Godzilla toy but no one knows for sure yet.
