I'd rather buy a display model of Godzilla 2014. This is pretty cool, one problem I have with the MUTO is that there's nothing interesting with the backside of it.
That was frickin' awesome!
Yeah I was gonna say the same thing, I think during day time Godzilla's skin will look brownish, while at night itll be grey or black (I hope it's grey).
And also, the Empire magazine design I swear does not look like the new design at all, just look at all the toys and other pictures of Godzilla, they all look the same.
I think the Empire design is not a fully real design cuz idk maybe its probably too early to spoil his design so they give us this crappier looking version of him.
They look the same to me. Lighting can change anything
I believe there definitely has to be a third Muto, why would they keep it secret if it's a new creation? Maybe it's secret because of It being a surprise, I saw that same bridge scene too! Thanks for bringing it up!
Dinozilla,
Including the Godzilla films? Just curious.
In any case, I can add the basic price for each of those discs if it helps you. Would a link to Amazon.com for each of those releases on the DVD thread help? Prices tend to change from place to place, but I always find Amazon pretty fair.
But if you look just above the bridge during the scene where planes are falling and you see parachutes coming down, right above the bridge you see a definite, "Rodan' type creature bank a quick left then right, kind of in the clouds. very distinctive wing pattern.
Okay, please, no one say I'm not a true fan, but.... I don't have ANY of the old Toho monster movies. I really wish I did, but I don't. So if anyone can tell me where I can watch some of them (Godzilla's on iTunes?) I would really appreciate it.
@ everybody. If you don't have them all, just watch other Toho monster movies or other monster movies. I only have 27 movies (not counting 1998 if you can even count it) but i've seen the one I'm missing (Godzilla 1984 if you were wondering) online. Plus the selection of Godzilla/Toho movies on iTunes is growing more and more. They got War of the Gargantuas now. So iTunes can be a good tool to use. But like I said before, prepare for the arrival of the King any way you can.
Well, thanks Gman. I'll have to see what I can do about getting some of those. On your dvd post did you list the prices or are they not announced yet?
Dinozilla,
I actually don't have all 28 films right now either. A few of my discs have burnt out over the years. I have 24 of them. But I make up for it by watching others:
Rodan, The Mysterians, Mothra, Frankenstein Conquers the World, War of the Gargantuas, the Gamera Trilogy, Ultraman Zero, Cloverfield, Pacific Rim...etc...
Just use what you have, basically. And of course plenty of these movies are coming out on Bluray and DVD starting this May.
That sounds like a really fun idea, but I don't HAVE all 28 films so I can't do it.... bummer. Does anybody
have any idea how I could celebrate?
Very cool video :D I like the scene with the boat :)
I've been doing something like this. I have a list of films I'm going to watch before the movie drops. I'm currently at Godzilla vs. Hedorah, although I'm wondering if I want to wait for the bluray release in May before I continue.
I think the teaser spots will be ramped up pretty high by the week before the movie. As for a final trailer I'm trying to remember when the third trailer to these movies typically come out. Most likely within a month or exactly a month before the release. Most big blockbusters get two trailers, but if a studio feels it could benifit from a fourth one that's possible as well.
That's actually pretty cool.
I miss read. I thought it was the Godzilla 2014 trailer with Godzilla 1954 audio.
Ananastom,
You certainly did indeed. That you for helping me remember that.
G2K,
if you want to contribute to that conversation here's the link to Ananasatom's discussion:

Plus I'm getting sick of every detail about the Mutos getting its own topic. We have enough Muto topics to go around for now. Lets look back at other threads before we start pulling up new ones on these critters.
Closed.
I already made a discussion about that ^^ But I think its the monster freom the SDCC 2013 teaser.
Finally, some official photos of the toys.
it says in everything that it is pale gray
I tried to make a dark mysterious atmosphere in the video, which makes it kind of like AVP I guess. Thanks for watching it and making it bigger, I had no idea what i was doing :D
Very nice. :)
But, why is the Eight-Legged Muto white? :O
Looks very AVP 'sh, nice. I made the video a bit larger for you. :D
@Zillahater even more reason for not read it
I already ordered the 12 inch NECA sight unseen, and I would like to get that huge one so long as the price isn't too out of control. As for the rest, if my kids want them, I'm game. If not, I'll most likely pass.
I'm gonna agree with Evan123, the MUTO is starting to look better as we get a better look at the details.
I think I'll go with the Godzilla and flying MUTO Chibis. I like how Godzilla looks in that one. Though, I think they messed up on the coloring for the side of his mouth, lol. I highly doubt it's going to be pink.
I also have to say, for such small, cheap toys, they sure did a great job on the detailing. Don't think I've seen a small kid's toy so detailed before.
Don't get your hopes up. If there is another trailer it will be the week right before the movie. It's called reminding people about the movie after several months. Again don't get your hopes up. There will most likely be no trailer until May.
It would not surprise me at all if they did release a new trailer before release of the film itself. Usually with films of this size and nature it's common to have at least 3 trailers. One as the "Teaser" the second for plot or tone of the film. The third for a "Sizzle reel" to kinda get the anticipation really geared up before the movie opens. But of course I could be wrong.
Wow! I never noticed the Muto's mouth! :D Dang, this is gonna be awesome!
That is definitely something. Maybe the Mutos have the ability to extend their necks? So, maybe the Winged Muto extends his neck for Aerodynamics?
GOJIRA 2014@
Did i leave?

You didnt read it, but you think its fake? Great. Its not fake. The site most likely saw the scenes when they shown off (It was shown of in London).
I think they just timed the splash with him rising to try and mask it. If you rewatch the trailer, especially in slowmo, it looks like he rises from behind the clouds/smoke. He also seems to cut through it, where the jet is clearly in front of it. There's also the fact that the splash is white, while he is darker in color.
Chibi Godzilla VS Chibi MUTO-Thingy-Until-It-Has-An-Official-Name!
Pretty cool idea. It does make more sense than some completely different MUTO creature suddenly joining the fray against the Big G. Of course, who's to say if that were the case, it wouldn't be friendly towards the hive-based creatures either? I have my own theory around this particular idea (this is purely speculative and for fun):
Basically, if there happens to be a second species of giant monster opposing Godzilla, this one would be represented by a single large specimen dwarfing even the hive species' largest members, and might even clean up the rest of the smaller ones to face off against its size rival, Godzilla himself.
Again, this is just pure speculation on my part about how it could go if more than one actual species of MUTO creature is shown.
All the toys seem geared towards children and I'm just slightly too old to actually take the toys out and play with them. They also don't seem that detailed, so it's not like I could use them as models on my desk or anything.
For right now I can honestly say the only thing I might get are the chibi 1s and maybe put them in my car or something but nothing else even remotely interests me.
