Um yes.
I've been pointing to the interconnecting sinkholes on the muto site for ages as to muto origins or story plot, but it seems like every1 has forgotten that site after the first trailer was released.
Also the M.U.T.O Organization could have upgraded the two preatorians giving them nuclear powers.
However the longer I stare at it, it begins to look like toothless from how to train your dragon
I agree with Mercus. Definetly a different kind of muto because I don't recall Gareth saying there will be another kind of monster
Am I the only one who has no problems with this movie except the fact that gravyzilla is stating that two godzilla's will rape eachother at the halo jump scene?
And the zilla exterminater strikes again :)
I love the figures, these are awesome.
I might buy the destruction pack with the MUTO and Godzilla or maybe the giant Godzilla toy over 40" in length. One or the other.
Yeah for sure. There will more than likely be a third trailer. My guess is that the third trailer will get released in April or very early May.
i tried to put this up a while back but i couldnt so i made it my avatar
Its the splash from the first jet crashing, it takes a while for the water to splash that high
I simply wanted to drop in to say I disagree with pretty much everything in this thread. I think every kaiju is very unique and genuine in its own way, that includes what we've seen of the Mutos so far. I've not seen or read one monster that is not highly inspired, original and fun, especially given the time frame some of them were created.
I have a theory. I'm pretty sure I'm right, and a little disappointed I may have spoiled it for myself, so.... spoilers?
Hint: Think of the movie "Rodan"
There are two mutos, a winged one and one without wings, like ants. Male ants have wings, females do not. The Mutos are the same (evidence: 'Winged' and '8 legged' muto toy descriptions) with one male and one female. The 'tentacle' in the trailer holding onto the nuclear missile is not a tentacle (evidence: Empire Trailer breakdown). It is an egg sac leeching the radiation out of it (evidence:Leaked Origin story ), and the troopers are parachuting into the city to stop it from hatching and unleashing muto hell on earth (hence the soldier looking at the egg sac), using Godzilla's battle with the Mutos for cover. BADA BING BADA BOOM.
Well, I actually LIKED the Danish description of the cinematography, atmosphere, and character portrayal in each of the scenes. It's probably a better way to describe it to be honest. It piques interest, and curiousity, fostering room for speculation while not actually giving things away. If the other reporters of the footage had done the same thing, the Godzilla world would probably be a better place. Alas, it was not meant to be :-(
But yeah....if you're interested in the plot details you should definitely check out some of the summaries of the same footage. SPOILER WARNING: several of the other summaries mention details like what's on the train, why they are moving it, are more explicit about how the events between scenes one and two are connected, completely spoil scene 3, also potentially spoil several of the speculated powers of the MUTO monsters...and more....
Entirely up to you of course, if you're interested in looking up that stuff.
WHA-? Even the stuff with the girl, the spielberg-ism, the millitary leader and the...DAMNIT.
Well, looks like me and Denmark is going back to being useless again. Sorry guys, back to the LEGO factory.
***EDIT: Oh yeah, the SPOILER warning is definitely warranted. It's a good thing a spoiler warning is posted here. More of my actual concern (which is slight at best) is that this treads on the line of 'repeat thread' territory. But eh, I'm not a huge stickler about such things. I thought it was more funny than anything else. END EDIT***
You're article is actually MORE VAGUE than many of the other summaries of the same screening that I've seen.
Not saying that's a bad thing....actually it's probably good that it's more vague on plot detail, while giving a lot of descriptions on the acting and tone....
but still, yeah....I'd be surprised if there is much new information here for the regular demographic on these forums.
I agree Madison, but then you don't have to listen to the people that go into hysterics and blame us because they read something that spoiled the movie for them. So to be safe, we make sure no one can miss the words *Spoiler* written on the post. XD
I am gonna start putting this on threads that may contain spoilers. :D

i knew about the screening, but i dont remember it giving this much info out.
You do realize that the linked article is dated 2/28/2014 right? Which around the same time Chris posted a news discussion about this same 20 minute screening and there was a huge number of speculation threads about the screening, and everyone from E.T.N. to I.G.N. had videos about the screening???????
I mean, no harm no foul for those who missed all of that originally I guess but still......

Lol, sorry for being a smartass, I just thought it was humorous.
I understand. And i noticed your edit in my thread, which im okay with. As long as we can get the info out to the people who want it, and keep it from those who do not want it.
I agree, but we wanna warn people a lot just in case, even I didnt read past the first lines.
I said spoilers numerous times, and its not a leak so it shouldnt be a problem, right?
Have no clue if someone's posted a picture of this particular chibi pack yet, but if I ever see this in stores, I might have to get it:
or the other one:

Not sure which I like more.
Ok that contains some possible extreme spoilers, be careful reading this guys, in case it's legit.
Oh man, you know, I'm in Southern California right now for school, and even in winter it's so hot right now. I'd rather be in Portland right now, too. I'll be back there by May, but that isn't soon enough.
It's cool that you lived around Portland, though! Hope someone else on this site lives or lived around here, too. Would be sweet.
I used to live really close to Portland, Oregon. Too bad. :( Would much rather live there than where I live now.
As much as I'd love to, I probably won't have the money. However, maybe I could make an exception for one or two..... like maybe the Deluxe Destruction Pack (gotta have that MUTO), and one of the Godzilla action figures..... lol.
Maybe a different type of muto
@ Angzilla
Considering this is a Godzilla movie, based on an already existing franchise, I would expect monsters from said franchise. It's just like saying Godzilla's look is uninspired because he's based on Godzilla.
And not much of a resemblance? Really? They have the same legs. Muto just has hooves. They have the same arms. Muto just has claws, instead of hands. They're bodies look extrememly similar, right down to the smaller arms above his waist. The only thing that is HUGELY different is its head. And before he evolves into the 4 armed monster, the resemblance is even closer.
kid's toys ,cheap plastic, uninspired toy work nothing like how it will be when they release the ncea toy
This is the first time I'm seeing that first drawing. Both look awesome.
That's awesome Daikaiju! You should try doing the 8-legged Muto.
is this what it was like in the sdcc trailer tell me!!!!!
good drawing
hopefully i want the jaegers or mecha-godzilla
I dunno, I haven't seen any figures which interest me at this time. They all seem kinda cheap, and geared for children.
The model would have to be made of durable material and have a MINIMUM of 12 points of articulation for me to be even remotely interested. Although 20-30+ is more what I would be looking for.
I'll probably hold out for a S.H. MonsterArts version or something of approximately equivalent articulation/quality....although maybe something a LITTLE cheaper. $75-$100 for one figure is quite a pinch. Most things under $15.00 are just not of high enough quality/flexibility. Maybe a med range item will come out, in the $30-$50 spectrum which will be just right, but I haven't seen anything quite like that yet.
Toys aside, I am very interested in the novelization/graphic novel. I don't buy novelizations often, but I must say I've enjoyed every one I have decided to pick up. I'll be really torn though :-) Whether to hold out on seeing the movie until I finish the novel, or see the movie opening night, and read the novel afterwards.........decisions decisions :-)
very good speculation
I feel sorry for you because i already pre ordered every one. I wish i could help, sign up on toywiz to get 10% off on purchases. Wish you good wind, may the wind always be at your back. LOL
