I love the idea that he unhinges his jaw to release his atomic breath. It's very snake like and I think it will be awesome lol I'm curious how powerful it will be though. In the Showa films it was more like a flamethrower but later on in films like GMK it was like a concentrated nuclear bomb put into a steady stream. I'm curious how powerful his "realilistic" atomic breath will be.

Yeah I think the MUTO can absorb flesh/organic matter. Therefore, when Godzilla was injured, he was able to absorb it, and evolve or transform into it's multi-legged form

Godzilla's breath is his main weapon in the Toho Godzilla universe. I wouldn't follow those rules for this movie.
From the description on the back of one of the toy boxes (not the best sources I'll grant you), it sounds like his breath attack is a last-ditch weapon that leaves him drained.

I mean it just kind of states the obvious. The Muto's weakness is Godzilla's most powerful weapon? Well that just happens to be the weakness of buildings, people, tanks, helicopters...etc... I mean, after 60 years and 28 movies I think it's pretty obvious that monsters, humans and objects get pretty fried by Godzilla's atomic breath.

i know that but you have to look at it this way when godzilla cant be killed by all means necessary create something that was his natural enemy.
this movie is going to be a huge blockbuster take a look at all of the films legendary have done in the past 300, the dark knight trilogy, pacific rim. this will have a very huge effect on people too many of them out there know the name godzilla and will spend their hard earned money on the ticket to watch it :) this movie will do justice for us the diehard fans and will give the critiques a movie that they can talk about for the rest of the year, it will not flop :)

That's... kind of... everything's weakness...
guys an R rated godzilla film will never happen there is no need for a sex scene in any monster film period. godzilla and other monster films are made for almost all viewers and the producers of this film know that children of any age will want to see it. so please stop with this whole debate about godzilla being rated R because it will never happen this movie is going to be a very strong PG-13 rating that is all it ever will be.
this seems a little bit of a long shot... i mean nice observation with similar monster designs. but its already confirmed accroding to multiple sources, but i will say muto does look alot like iris from gamera no joke...
In terms of badassery, it's hard to top 1984, GMK, and 2014.
I've got some intense sentimental attachments to the suit from Godzilla vs Megalon, however.
