As a side note... WHAT IS MONARCH?!  I don't think that got discussed before but if so I'm sorry.  The information marked for monarch eyes only and whatnot is interesting, specifically the info sheets on each of the characters.  I like how Elle Brody's location (SF) is marked as a high risk target like they know SF is in danger.

Both Ford and his wife's files have been unlocked on MUTOresearch.net. They include photoes and sound bytes. Nothing directly linked to Godzilla, yet, but it looks like this "Monarch" is spying on them. Who knows if they are in the movie or not.

I hate Godzilla vs Hedorah ONLY because of Hedorah. He is the worst Kaiju in my opinion. Walking polution that can fly, that has eyes? Ugh, so lame.

Yet I also agree with GMAN, Godzilla vs SpaceGodzilla was pretty bad lol

I have actually sketched my own reimagining of Godzilla.

I made him appear almost as if he had barely survived the nuclear bomb, with blackened, partially melted flesh, dead white eyes, and bones protruding through his hide. It is meant to both invoke a nightmarish image, while still inspiring sympathy for this creature; as much a victim of nuclear devastation as he is a symbol of it... 

Yes, it's from the mutoresearch site, apparently the Brody file has been decrypted and has photos and even an audio clip of Ford and his family.

Legendary just posted this pic on Twitter too.  Not sure if this comes from the MUTO site as my work is blocking it right now.  Looks like some more details are starting to slowly come out. I LIKE IT!!

Agree with the above. Greenlighting a sequel can only be done if this flick succeeds, and I hope it does!

I have to disagree with a few of those.

First off, NONE of them are half as bad as Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla, which I don't understand why that gets a pass. vs. SpaceGodzilla is without a doubt, tonally, atmospherically and visually the most inconsistant, poorly written Godzilla movie of the series.

Son of Godzilla is actually a fantastic movie. Yeah, the Godzilla suit is fairly putrid. And fans don't like Minya. But the story and effects were great and a definite breath of fresh air from the more militaristic and "world ending" movies that Honda did from 1964/65. It's a great film for families. Just because it is a family film doesn't make it bad.

Godzilla vs. Hedorah... the fanbase isn't going to ever agree on this one. I think it's a good movie and that the reason it's well made is because it stands out as fairly weird. It's something of an arthouse Godzilla movie. It contrasts the "kiddie" moments in an ironic fashion with the dark tones.

Godzilla vs. Megalon is pretty horrid. Agreed there. On your list it's easily the worst. But it's still a better movie than vs. SpaceGodzilla since it atleast has a consistant screenplay and some characters that make damn sense.

Godzilla's Revenge is underrated and misunderstood. I wrote an article that adequettely frames my opinion of the movie here: Revenge for Godzilla's Revenge

But Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla takes the cake for me. Hands down. And what about Godzilla: Final Wars? Sure it's fun and groovy, but it's one mess of a film. What about Godzilla vs. Megaguirus? Could the characters in that be any worse? Godzilla vs. Gigan is pretty bad, though, again the fanbase is pretty split on it. It actually uses more stock footage than vs. Megalon! Godzilla and Mothra: The Battle for Earth is so mediocre it's actually forgettable.

I don't know... That list doesn't scream out to me as the worst of the worst. It just lists movies fans generally don't like because they veer away from the norm.

Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla is the worst movie of the series.

Its possible. Of course, how the film will be perceived by the public and critics will have a large impact on the b.o.

Well, I bought and now own all of the released ones except for Tail-Strike Godzilla, but I think the coolest one I got has to be Atomic Roar Godzilla.  Coolest G-2014 figure until NECA comes out with theirs.

mine is a mix of the paific rim and the godzilla universe.  too big too explain.

How accurate is Godzilla in the game compared to how he will be in the movie? like appearance, color, fighting style? and will players be able to connect phones and pick different monsters to fight each other? 

I also wanted to know if this game will come out for xbox 360 and other big name consoles? and also if you do decide this, would there be statues or figures of the game version of the monsters? (I already know there are figures and sideshow is gonna make statues, i just think it would be cool to have a statue/figure of the game version.)

I really don't see that much 90s Godzilla in this new design. I actually don't think there's 1 particular design it follows. It does a good job of staying close enough to the material, however having it's own look.

My personal Kaiju universe is simply too large to explain in a simple series of films, plus its style would lend itself to some GIANT anime style, but with art leads leaning towards the Pacific Rim sort of look. Remember, INSPIRATION from it, not direct translation of it. In a manner also live Neon Genesis Evangelion, but cooler. WAY cooler.

My favorite is the S.H. Monsterarts Godzilla 2000. P.S. I have S.H. Monsterarts Kiryu and he is awesome.

Well it's not impossible for that to happen,honestly i wouldn't be all that suprised if Godzilla made that much money.

Dont forget how many people live in Japan alone, and i bet about 3/4 of America is going to see it, and the U.K., So yeah and if it made that much money how many sequels could it make with just that money earned.

well i heard that gareth edwards had only focused on making 1 stand alone film, why would the production team risk in planning a sequel when there is a chance that the movie won't do too well (it might, it might not)

this infomation doesn't sound too reliable and does seem like bs, seriously gareth edwards has kept repeating in interviews that they only focused on making 1 movie and 1 movie only, he's even said that the POSSIBILITY of a sequel is determined by the success of this movie.

in my opinion the suitmation of the showa, specifically the early showa movies had the best suitmation, the designs looked real, the suit actor was one, if not the best/legendary suit actors and they seemed more organic. also if you look at the heisei suit (specifically the 94 suit) the legs have too much skin and they overlap, it just makes godzilla look too fat and the heisei godzilla and the monsters were all walk and shoot, the showa suits were heavy (lighter than the 54 and future series suits) but the actors could be able to do a lot of movement, that one criticism of the godzilla heisei special effects.

Will there be any boss fights in this game?

my design would have similar scutes of godzilla 2k but with bone like coloring meaning they would look really spiky and that but it would not be too big and some scutes would be even and some won't. next the body would be pretty slim with a upside down traingle like chest and the shoulders would have like 2 or 3 scutes on top of them making them more noticeable as for the feet it would have at least 4 toes looking like bulky type dinosaur feet. the tail would be the same as the one right now but would have my g2k type scutes. then the head would look like the one right now but without gills ( i have reasons )

Ledendary have done a fantastic job with the new godzilla design.

Id go with roughly the same skin texture of it and make the spines bigger. Id also get rid of the gills or make them smaller. Oh and Id make im taller by say, 30-40 meters.

I own them all. The only ones I have on VHS are Godzilla's revenge, Godzilla vs the Sea Monster and Godzilla vs Megalon. The rest are all on DVD.
