Omg hippos are amphibious do they have gills no and you don't they if they are gills your just assuming they are because have you seen an exclusive look at him swimming or have you seen the movie no
Nobody
knows what they are yet except for Garth and the actors and Godzilla himself
i haven't been on this site for a while either, and yeah time sure goes by
Godzilla has slept in the sea before and hey we will just have to see the movie to know what they are Toronto he doesn't have to have gills and Garth said that Godzilla will be original to the classic Godzilla but he will look different and be bigger and his breath obviously looks different :)
Little more than a month, the more excited you get, the longer it will take. I've been staying off this site for a little bit and man, time is going by fast!
It's gills, they made him more realistic and what better way to do that but make him amphibious.
I've probably had three or four dreams about seeing the movie, but I cant really remember much of most of them. The forst on I had was really strange, because I actually saw it on TV BEFORE it was released in theaters. :/ I remember being really confused as to why I could watch it on TV months before May, an then being really dissapointed because the film was really underwhelming. I vaguely remember having another dream where Godzilla was human sized for much of the film (?!?!), but I woke up before I could watch the whole thing. I don't remember that version being that bad, though!
It was from the muto, if you look at the scenes where you watch it crumble it's the only building destroyed, possibly a tunneling muto caused an earthquake spike.
the radiation is from the leak they found
Probably not going to be in the movie. But at first I thought it would be a MUTO/Godzilla Hybrid due to the bulk and it's 8 arms
the expression on his face lolz
To all of you who are saying that it's stupid to have a human character become a part of a kaiju that fights Godzilla.....Godzilla vs. Biollante.
I had some trouble reading this. You need to space out your thoughts using the Enter key. Periods really help too, because right now you kind of seem like a ranting crazy person. Not to say that you are one, just that you're coming off as one due to poor grammar.
That muscle diagram you're referencing is fan art, not official, so anything shown in that can't be taken as canon.
In regards to Gareth saying 'it's realistic', he was more refering to the tone of the film and how people with be acting. Who's the say that him having gills makes it less realistic? If he's been sleeping under the ocean for hundreds or thousands of years, wouldn't he need to have kills in order to not drown?
There's absolutely no guarantee that Gareth would have told us if they were gills or not. He's not going to be revealing every single detail before the movie comes out.
In the future, if you're trying to be careful about 'jerky people' closing your discussion, you probably shouldn't mention it in the article.
Unused concept. The movie story and script had not even been finished. That monster wont be in the movie. Im ready to bet my existence on it. Its not in the film. It was just a quickly sketched monster for a cheap teaser for comic-con.
It doenst fit with the two other monsters, and there are no toys of it. And its not to keep it secret, toy companies ALWAYS end up showing this stuff off.
I think you maybe right. But the radiation could have spiked from just a regular earthquake, though unlikely. I think it will be caused by one of the monsters.
Maybe it's Muto in an more evolved/mutated form that will later appear in the film.
So stoked! The only thing haven't teased us with is the glowing spines or atomic breath, which I am fine with. We know it is in the movie, just don't know how it will be presented. There is an international spot that shows a scene from the airport(not the one with him walking intro frame as that one plane explodes) that shows a MASSIVE explosion in front of him...looks too big to be just a plane or two... I'm betting that is when he uses it the first time on the little Muto.
One time, I had a dream, quite a differet dream int tone to others I've usually had:
I was in a city on the west coast, watching as the water from the beach rose into a tidal wave. However, it was no ordinary wave, as it stood at over five times the height of the average 400-foot tall buildings. A vague, dark shape could be made out within them enormous wave, as though it were standing up, yet speeding into the city in a manner similar to water-skiing through the streets. Wherever the water touched, the buildings would crumble, especially at the base of the dark figure. When the enormous surf had finally come to a halt, all the buildings where either completely or partially submerged if they hadn't completely collapsed, and standing in the middle, water pouring from its enormous body, an 800-meter tall figure soon came into my view from a mountain area close by, utterly dwarfing everything else around it. It had pure red eyes, and roared so loud that the buildings around it fell down. It was the beast. A force greater than nature.
After seeing him look at me, I awoke, in a cold sweat and breathing heavily, having experienced my life flash before me just before awakening. I kid all of you not, I felt afraid, moreso than any other time. And trust me guys, this is coming from a guy who regularly has dreams where dolls come to life with evil glares on a regular basis.
...
To be honest, I find this rather upsetting Chris.
Maybe I'm overly sensitive, but this comes off to me as a shameless display. It feels to me like you're reaching for attention with this post. Maybe I'm wrong and you're just looking for a laugh, but this seems to me to be the wrong way to do it.
Sorry if I come across as not having a sense of humor, but this really rubbed me the wrong way.
Yeah I have had two dreams. I can't recall the first one, but I know the second one.
I was in the line getting some popcorn, and then Buddy from Cake Boss I seriously don't know) wanted be to get fondant for his pasta cake. I refused because I wanted to watch Godzilla! He kept wanting me to go, but then Akira Takarada shooed him off and we both watched it together!
The begining of the movie was Ford Brody on a battleship in a storm, along with Elle Brody. Elle goes overboard and is eaten by something. I woke up before I could see what it was.
I don't see anything to tell us it's pregnant in any way. It's a very slender creature and throughout the trailers it doesn't appear to change.
I don't believe that Legendary would go such a route anything. Such a detail would be extraneous and superfluous. In other words, it's a useless addition to a movie that's already got plenty going on.
Actually GODZILLASAURUS, there are no Muto attacks confirmed, period.
The EMP is only a theory, and it has not been confirmed in any way by any credible sources with links to Legendary.
As far as the mist, it's San Francisco. Ask anyone who lives there and they'll tell you that mist is a very, very common occourence because it's right on the water. There's nothing special about the mists at all. It's just San Fran.
I am no physics expert, but something of Godzilla's size could very well create a tsunami depending on how fast he was swimming.
The sheer volume of displaced water for a creature of Godzilla's size is staggering to contemplate. Again, I'm not a physics expert nor do I have any calculations for you, but here's an example to use. Take a bath and be sure to block the water from draining in whatever way you can. Fill it to the brim while your in the tub, and then stand up and get out.
How much water is left?
Now imagine that phenomenon on a creature that's 350 feet high and weighing god only knows how much. The water displacement off of Godzilla's body while moving at speed would easily create a small tsunami such as the one we're seeing in the trailer. It might not be quite as big as the one in the movie, but it would create a small one for sure.
Here's a Godzilla dream that I had months ago:
"I'm in the living room watching the TV. On the TV screen I can see a destroyed city covered by the lighting of a sunset. The color palette is dominated by orange, brown, black, and yellow. The city looks like it has been abandoned, it looks like Metropolis on Man of Steel after Kal's fight with Zod. I can't see a single human or living being on the streets until a giant centipede-like creature comes from behind of a building (it's the creature from the 2012 leaked comic con footage), it walks over what is left of the streets, there's debris falling from buildings and the imposing creature just keeps walking "towards the camera" while crushing any vehicles left on the street. The special effects are spectacular and look very stylized. Then Godzilla's foot appears in front of the screen, another camera angle reveals how he's preparing to face the "giant centipede", both creatures collide in an epic and violent fight, they crush buildings, at some point during the fight Godzilla uses his atomic breath (which is blue) and ravages a entire blocks of the city with it. The sequence is spectacular, has epic camera angles and is extremely loud: I can hear the creatures roaring while they crush buildings as they keep going on a very physical fight.
After I've watched the movie I'm talking with someone (probably one of my cousins or my brother, I don't know), during the conversation I learn that this Godzilla movie was released in 2014, but turns out that it was a flop, it divided fans (sort of like Final Wars did) and had a very similar reception to that of Man of Steel (about 50% on Rotten Tomatoes) meaning that it was praised by its action sequences but it was panned by the development of the story. Finally during that same conversation, I get to know that, despite being a flop, there's another reebot in production to be released either on 2015 and 2016. The dream sequence ends with me holding a Godzilla 2014 Steelbook DVD on my hands as I watch it while thinking how awesome it is and how much I love this movie despite it being a controversial one".
Yeah, I think most of my dream was related to my worries about the success of the movie on both, box office and reception. The fighting scenes I saw were freaking epic! Damn! The scale of the monsters, and the fights, was so f*cking sick! And they looked so real!
@Durp004
I know right? Even though I don't find Steve or Miki very interesting at all, those choices still make lightyears more sense then choosing characters based out of trailers/TV spots alone.
I know I'm one of the few on this forum who responds more to the human element than the monsters in these films, but the pre-pandering to the new movie is just ridiculous sometimes...
As much as I want to avoid commenting, I cannot.
There is only one Godzilla.
However, there are two confirmed Muto in this movie. One of them looks like a praying mantis, the other is the Hokmuto that we all know and love from the previous trailers that came out before the extended look trailer revealed the second. If we're lucky, there might be more Muto, but right now the trailers only indicate two of them. The centipede thing from the original teaser doens't seem to be in the film as of yet, so I wouldn't count on that one showing up anytime soon. If we haven't seen it in the official trailers up to now, it's likely not going to be there at all.
There are a number of things that contribute to a nuclear physicists perception of 'natural.'
First and foremost, the spikes in whatever graph he was reading would obviously not be caused by anything natural, hence his expression when he sees it. If it were natural, he'd likely be shocked, but he wouldn't linger on it to watch it like that. At least, I don't think he would.
Another reason is because a natural disaster wouldn't isolate the plant. Whatever happened only took place at the plant and didn't affect the surrounding area (at least not greatly). If the scene with the ground having a drag mark on it is from the plant scene as well, then that is the other piece of evidence that something is amiss and unnatural becuase, let's face it, a natural disaster doesn't leave a drag mark in the ground.
So those are the two main things from the trailer specifically that I believe are going on to tell him it wasn't natural. Another possibility off the top of my head is that he might actually get a glimpse of whatever caused it through the smoke before it leaves, but since he can't see it clearly the governments and military pass it off as him hallucinating or going crazy due to the loss of his wife.
You'd have to be more specific. Which products? Most of them you can buy online right now.
And yes, I've noticed a lot of the pictures are offline. This is what Gigan and I get for using Photobucket... We'll fix them soon.
It's kind of creepy that you asked this question today, but I literally had a dream about it just last night.
I can't describe it very well because my mind cannot recall all of the detaila, but for some reason I had really strange dreams about Godzilla fighting the Hokmuto, Godzilla swimming through the waters fighting a Megaguirus type creature. Godzilla underwater fighting with and ripping in half some kind of smaller alligator/fish type thing that I can't even describe. Godzilla interacting with a child and seemingly understanding her.
Really strange stuff, but all of it was with the G-2014 design.
So wierd... I'M GOING CRAZY!!!
I agree every well done
Glad you liked it :D
This is actually very well put together. It made the hairs on my neck stand up!
Freeze the extended cut video at 1:45 when you see the general. If you look at the monitors behind him, you get clear looks at what is labeled Muto1 and Muto2 (well, clear on 2 and sort of on 1). If you advance it frame by frame you can see them in motion.
I want one! Are these on sale now?!?!
I'm honestly not a huge fan of 3D...But the IMAX sound is purely worth the extra money. You can't go back to a regular theater after it. I'm going to ask my manager to have a screening for Godzilla in IMAX without the 3D diagnostics on. We did that for 300: Rise. But I'll still see it in 3D. I dont mind, really.
I once had a godzilla dream, though its not about the new movie, it is quite an experience. The only thing I remember was that I was in a tunnel, resembled the tunnel from Godzilla 1998. I saw the tail of godzilla being dragged away by his might and suddenly I was in a abandoned building with random survivors and then I looked through the window and witnessed the aftermath. Far away, I see godzilla rising from the rubble, he roared and then the dream ends.
.
@Agressivekaiju45, your dream is quite amazing but if Godzilla took the baby, it's because he's the last of his kind and he suffers from loneliness so he wants a companion sometimes. It's just my theory.
please tell me when & where i can buy these products?
@Godkilla2000
creepy...
Speak of the devil guys, I slept on my way to school. And guess who I dreamt of?
I was in spanish class when all of the sudden GODZILLA... then I woke up
