I remember the toy description saying the mutos and godzilla were ancient enemies (please correct meif I am wrong) is it possible the film with have scenes showing the past and this is a small scene showing godzilla as the king of his time with the defeated creature in front of him?
yeah his atomic breath this time is different only when the movie itself comes out, it will be revealed then on how much destruction and how different it is unless of course it is in the godzilla awakening graphic novel :)
dude that was amazing thanks i like this alot :)
yeah i know, still though thought this might bring a few good laughs to everyone :)
i wouldn't think so
And if anyone wants to see Godzilla 1954 and it is the original B & W version. It's on Amazon Prime that's if you have Amazon Prime, I'm just saying if anyone was curious.

Dude this is actually pretty awesome. Makes screenshoting way more convenient :-)
Thank you for the post :-)
DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That was incredible!!!! THanks for sharing! :D EVERYONE WATCH THIS!!!!!!!!
This needs more attention. I love them both! The chills the second one, your first one, gave me were unbelievable.
Trolling silliness aside, this gills topic has been done to death. Surely this could have been added in a pre-existing gills thread, as it doesn't really trudge up any new angles on the debate.
I don't personally think they are gills just because they don't really look like gills to me. But if they are gills, I don't see why it's a big deal. Like it doesn't really matter does it? So long as it doesn't become significant plot point in the movie what difference does it really make if Godzilla has gills or not? It's just not a topic worth getting riled up about imo.
If his breath is strong enough to punch through that many buildings then the MUTO's are in for a rough time
You're forgetting!
The shot of the MUTO fighting Godzilla in the trailer....look where the MUTO is biting Godzilla!
He's going for exact area the gills are. Coincidence? I think not :-)
The gills man!!! DA GILLS!!! Godzilla's only weakness!!!
Visiting this site has become a habit, literally not figureatively.
That's a great mashup

The signatures are identical! :)
No I mean it should be in black and white. Not talking about the other guys response. Lol I really don't want to see a colorized version.

We will wait and see in the movie but they could just be flaps of skin and scales and his lungs may be the same as the classic gojira lungs but we will have to see
It causes explosions like giant Napolm and before any one says it harms him it doesn't harm him he just didn't use it that much when he was on and near the pacific islands cause there was nothing to attack and itWeill be different but similar to the classic breath
Yep, there is. in the 1960's (I believe), an Italian dude named Luigi Cozzi imported the film to Itally and gave it a "King of the Monsters" style edit, but colorized the footage, removed much of the human drama, and replaced it with war stock footage to pad out the runtime. This rare version has been nicknamed "Cozzilla", and, or so I have heard, it is hideous. I don;t remember where I read all of this, but it was years ago and I remember being very shocked!
Actually if you go by his new origins and the figure and the game he has his signature atomic breath and it's close to his classic atomic breath
@GODZILLA7007 well i myself, would prefer it to stay in B&W
It's been confirmed that his atomic breath is in the movie, but it's done in a way we've never seen it before.
Thirty seconds on Google revealed that yes, there is a colorized version called 'Cozzilla', and it looks absolutely horrible.
I hope not, it would ruin the whole feel of the movie.
Well this is getting complicated... I'm out
Tevin... Where did you find your pictures gif? I've been looking forever
Giving Godzilla gills wouldn't actually make him more realistic. Since his body produces its own nuclear energy (and, based on the giant Godzilla toy description, that trait is intact in this incarnation), he shouldn't actually need to respirate at all to survive. Hopefully, they did take this into consideration when designing him, because if he has to breathe, that makes him a whole lot more stoppable (ever heard of chemical weapons?).
@Freeze!
Not at all. I love Ultraman. Watched the original series at least twice.
Well giving a reptile gills would be the only way godzilla could "sleep" underwater for that long. And I said amphibious, not amphibian.
What? that would be weird to see in a godzilla movie
Giving this Godzilla gills wouldn't destroy the original vision of Godzilla. A cornerstone for Godzilla isn't 'it must not have gills, no matter what'.
In regards to Godzilla sleeping in the sea before, that's using the old canon. I wouldn't base anything you've seen in this movie on what has happened in the older movies.
Hippos can stay underwater for 6 minutes, a crocodile for 15-30 minutes, 90 minutes to 2 hours. I imagine a gill-less Godzilla could stay under water for a few days, I can't imagine it simply living down there for hundreds or thousands of years.
Why don't you want it to have gills? This seems to be a point that makes you very upset.
