I can guarantee that it is NOT in Saudi Arabia
JHT Well, I have some doubts about the exact location, and I am not saying you were wrong or anything, and i'm not saying Resurgence is right. Thats why I said interesting.
I posted this as my theory topic and everyone just doubted me and didn't even have an open mind about it and just kept denying my theory i told them basically the same thing you did but they just kept saying I was wrong and kept throwing the Saudi Arabia location theory at me.
are you going to show the forum your comic once it completed? I'd love to see it.
True, the Japanese don't particularly care for the concept of canon. But for all intents and purposes I guess you could say it is not canon to the Heisei continuity. But it sure would've made things more interesting.
I'd like for it to just be Godzilla and Kong
Although it is undeniably a part of the history and lore of the series overall, it's not something I'm a big fan of as an adult. Some of my early sentimental faves, (KKVsG, Ghidorah, Monster Zero) have some of the goofier moments but again, I have a soft spot in my heart for them, so they get a bit of a Mulligan. Dancing Godzilla is difficult for me to sit through at this point, but I still love Monster Zero. As a young boy I loved Godzilla any way I could get him; terrifying wraith, ant-hero, cute and Muppet-looking. Didn't really matter. But at some point, the sillier movies kind of went by the boards for me. I've watched them all, and for many, once was enough, and I don't need to revisit them. I'm not opposed to humor in these movies, or giving the monsters some semblance of personality, but when they turn them into buffoons that's the line for me.
But it is still possible that it is a mutation of an alien species
I don't really mind, because it is more observations than ruining the plot they wouldn't put something that would ruin the movie in the promotional material
Yes, I know. And i do think he is an alien
I am referring to the monsterverse version
That can be difficult when trying to avoid spoilers haha
Potentially, though smaller?
Not likely. As a Titan, his species are likely to be naturally large winged dragons that possibly come from space.
Godzillatheking123: Yeah I am aware of the novel. But I didn't mention it because I was not sure of the canon status of the novel, so I just stuck to the movie.
Although, I suppose the Godzilla series as a whole never cared too much about canon.
In the Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah novelization the Dorats were reverse engineered from a King Ghidorah corpse found on Venus in the 2200s.
Shame they didn't use that for the movie, I think it would've made a little more sense as to how three tiny creatures mutated into a three headed monstrosity. It would've also kept King Ghidorah's extra-terrestrial origins to some extent.
Well, in the 1991 Heisei-era film (sorry if I am spoiling if you haven't watched, but hey, you asked), Godzilla vs King Ghidorah, the Futurians went back to the past (WW2 Pacific) and left behind 3 genetically-engineered creatures, the Dorats, which fused to become King Ghidorah after that island became the site of nuclear weapons testing.
It's in my nature to analyze things very thoroughly, maybe a little too much sometimes
I wonder what else I will end up discovering
I am honestly so proud that I found this out
Godzilla, Kong, Rodan, some other titans
Ultrazero80 if he could it would likely be through the use of gravity manipulation to put himself in a low gravity state, kinda like when monster X slowly floats down to the ground
You know, I doubt Kaizer Ghidorah could even fly with those small wings.
I mean, he DID fly.
It just wasn't by his own will :P
"I mean, if you give something wings, you expect it to fly."
Oof...
oh no don't get me wrong I do expect him to be able to fly but being an alien I would think that maybe his planet has a weaker gravitational pull and so he is capable of flying purely on wing power alone on his home world but on earth he needs a little help from his gravity beams (I always took the gravity beams as being beams of intense super high gravity rather than lightning, like he is zapping things causing them to be crushed by massively high gravity or he could invert them and put objects into zero gravity making them levitate, I do think he has done that once or twice in the past, maybe he did it as kaiser ghidorah or monster x tho not sure, I do know that space godzilla can do the same thing because he was originally meant to be ghidorah and they changed the character but let space godzilla keep the gravity beams, I think I saw that on the KaijuWiki youtube channel)
though maybe that's just how I personally interpret King Ghidorah
I'm going to be honest, Chris. We both know I've been here for more than a year. And yet, because of his absence, I forgot Dopepope even still existed. But this revived my memory, and it looks awesome. Congratulations, Dopepope. Keep up the good work.
Gmkgoji Here's my suggestion for inspiration on your comic. It's by a fellow member named Xenotaris. I've been replying to this forum before. (And as of the time of this comment in the "Latest Fan Activity" section, I still am. [On both of my accounts.]) Here's the link: Gojiverse. Hope you enjoy and get some inspiration. Good luck.
Also, Xenotaris, this is my second account, so please don't feel surprised/disappointed that this account isn't someone new. That is all. Hope you come back and finish this, man. Also, I have a new forum signature. It's my advice for you, and how I feel about this forum. Thanks, man. And you're welcome.
Hey, Xenotaris. It's been 4 months and 14 days since the last post on this forum, and it still isn't completed. (Yet I still find it cool, and I'm still interested in what happens next.) What happened, man? What's going on?
I mean, if you give something wings, you expect it to fly.
Honestly, if they were give him any kind of major unexpected moment, it'd be having legitimate gravity manipulation that's completely out-there compared to the otherwise grounded naturalistic take the Titans have going for them.
