Way to give Baragon some respect! Great work!
do you think maybe Methuselah will have a grudge against Godzilla and will want to reclaim it's title as King? or maybe it will want to fight Ghidorah viewing him as the next king? a lot of people believe the new titans are just gonna be brief cameos or will appear in a montage or will be in an end credit scene (that's all probably true) but I personally would rather they be new monsters that are important to the movie and we learn about in the movie
All of these are beautiful but that one with Orga takes the cake for me
A little camp is good. A lot of movies today are campy, but are self-aware, I prefer movies with camp that play it completely straight, a good example being the movie Jupiter Ascending which is a bad film but very entertaining because of how silly it is
Dude... They're fictional characters...
Ken Satsuma not that abomination of a sub in GMK. That was bullshit along with the deaths of Baragon and Ghidorah
I seen Destroyah back in the day but did not and will never accept the death of Heisei. The true king will never die!!!! Satsuma kills!
Godzilla 98 rules! He should have been invincible! When I seen shin I was like oh Fuck it could get worst. I just realized this year to everyone but me the Heisei Godzilla died in 95. I never accepted that the possibility of a new Godzilla could be, for me Heisei is the supercharged Showa grown up a bit. I like to think he ended up like Godzilla Earth so I disregarded the idea of any reboots and linked them all into one story. Now we have a Heisei and Showa and Mellenium which are Dinosaurs mutated. A Iguana Godzilla, a Famardy Godzilla and a plant Godzilla. The Legendary Godzilla that all life devolved from and his God Monster friends known in history as the titans! This looks to be the best deal if they make it through. I have Iguana children and they really are the closest Lizard to Godzilla who was based off an Iguanadon to begin with. This version of Godzilla 98 is very sweet! I think he should keep the God in his name and we should start to praise him! Space Godzilla and Baragon are beautiful as well!
J. Robert I think you mean Zilla. [Y'know, just to save you before someone calls you out and wants your head. ;) Lol :)]
my personal favorite is manda out of these. But any water base kaiju (the onese that spend the majority of there time in water) i love
Wow. Amazing. There even is G98!
I've seen that video before, and it's awesome. Highly recommend it to anyone.
Gmkgoji Thanks for the reference.
Yeah, it also depends on how it's executed for me, as well.
All of the artwork looks nice. Here's my positives and negatives on all of it, though.
Positives: I like the way Anguirus, Orga, SpaceGodzilla, Zilla, Baragon, and Manda look, especially Orga, Anguirus, Zilla and Manda. And of course, Godzilla and the male M.U.T.O. look especially amazing as always. But that is all for my positives.
Negatives: Biollante looks like her original self (and/or a colorless version of someone else's rendition of her). Kong looks cartoony. (Especially his face. Why?) And the rendition of Rodan actually looks worse than the actual official look we have of him right now for KOTM. (Especially the back of the head where his 'crest' should be.) And that is all for my negatives.
And that is all I have to say. You're welcome, everyone, and sorry if I was too harsh.
G. H. (Gman) Well said with the clarification. I couldn't have said it better myself?
Also, who is Ohrai?
Campiness is an integral part of the series at this point, not representative of each individual film, but a staple of the series as a whole. I embrace it. It's part of Godzilla and the series has done well to use it to its advantage.
Balcsa88 Spacegodzilla
What's the name of the monster on the 6th picture (the one that looks a lot like Godzilla but with huge crystal plates)?
Good theory!

Depends on how it's executed.
In a film series as serious and grounded as the Monsterverse, the anime trilogy, or the 2016 standalone, campy fun should be restricted to smaller moments of brevity to break up the pace; they shouldn't be a primary focus.
Now, if you get into less serious stuff? You can start experimenting a bit.
Great artwork
If this is the case for Titanus Scylla, I can see it being a serpent-like monster, but not with all of those different heads. In a nutshell, I see her head being the one that looks like a mix between Ghidorah and the Skull Crawler, with a body like Manda's
Well, Scylla may relate to the Scylla in Greek Mythology. Although from the images I have seen of her, (I'm pretty sure that she is a female monster) she more or less looks like some sort of Ghidorah-Skull Crawler-Biollante type monster.

Update: Titanus Methuselah
I have EXTREME doubt about these stats
Height: 91 meters
Weight: 100,000+ tons
Weapons: jaws, clubbed tail, armored shell
Nicknames: The elder titan, the ancient one, the former king of the monsters
Outpost:67
Location: Munich, Germany
Throw camp at me and it bounces right off
My god, these are amazing!
I think the third artwork picture is Orga but other than that, i love every one of them.
And on the subject of the poster... I miss Ohrai...
RR44,
Japanese audiences traditionally don't receive western interpretations of their material very well. G'14 did well all things considered, but wasn't a massive blowout in Japan.
Right now both trailers to the new movie have received very average exposure and reception in Japan. A very trustworthy source, who has typically nailed how well movies do in Japan over the last 8 years, expects it to do no better than G'14 5 years ago. It won't get anywhere close to Shin Godzilla.
Another fine example is Detective Pikachu. It's not tracking particularly high in Japan and it's confused a lot of audience members who only recall the game Detective Pikachu borderline flopping. On the other hand, the Mewtwo Strikes Back remake is likely to blow the doors off of Detective Pikachu.
They simply enjoy their interpretations more. It's just how it is.
now that's terrifying
Nani? What is this chakra?
MDK 2 ... Fat... skinny... the newest rendering of Godzilla certainly looks more appealing than the 2014 version and Japanese fans (I know a few) say that this Godzilla is a big improvement over the last one. Besides... there is the other kaiju to consider in this movie that may win them over. Ghidorah and Rodan and Mothra definitely got the Hollywood treatment and as a whole... that may well in effect be just what the doctor ordered for the Japanese fan base to say... wow... great... ect ect. We will indeed have to wait and see. Either way... this movie is going to be epic... in my opinion.
Gmkgoji You're welcome.
MDK 2 (MinecraftDinoKaiju) Thanks for reminding me agian
Gmkgoji Maybe you should put a spoiler warning on this topic before some gets upset for not being warned. Or you can just take it. It's up to you. (Insert my forum signature here.)
I've been a massive fan of Jaws and Jurassic Park ever since I was a kid. I even enjoyed the '98 version of Godzilla, which is kind of awkward to think about now :) Then Peter Jackson's King Kong came along in '05 which really upped the ante for me. It made me a fan of Kong and monster movies in general. But it wasn't until 2014 that I became a fan of Godzilla too. I watched some of the original Japanese Godzilla movies a few weeks before Gareth Edwards' film hit the theaters, and while the outdated puppet effects looked rather cheesy (for someone who grew up watching big budget Hollywood films), they were incredibly fun to watch. I instantly knew what was missing from my life :)
