Sorta. Toho produced it in the same way they did Legendary's movies. It was Polygon's production, so everything licensed had to be vetted by Toho.

Singular Point Godzilla needs some tweeks, the fat Hartman hips don't look good on a theropod body structure and its face reminds too much of the Lawnmower man

I don't have any issue with the Exif being an alternate counterpart to the Xiliens. I was just pointing out the difference between the two species. I would have had the Exif just flat out be xiliens since Toho produced the anime, they shouldn't have any licensing problems

I noticed the Bilasaludo thing too.

The Anime also had an interesting that Kaiju were a filter for civilization. Filter being a challenge that only some civilizations can successfully beat. When civilizations be advanced enough, kaiju appear. All these filters are theoretical science in the real world, but I found the concept very interesting.

When talking about the Anime most people complain about the lack of action. I’ve never had that problem. The only thing that I might change is to have the rest of Ghidorah appear and descend on Godzilla after a while to raise stakes. And make Ghidorah more desperate to return to the Void.

Not to spiral so far off topic (which we have already), but the Exif being a spin on the Xilliens where they don't have control over the monsters is an interesting direction to take them.

The Bilusaludo were also inspired by the aliens from Blackhole Planet 3 and they were controlled by their "monster" in a psychological reverence as well. Part of the anime's schtick is how the monsters transcend the physical and thematic versions of what we're used too. The turning of the tables on alien races that normally have full control of these things was an excellent way to get that across. So I don't mind the take.

Godzilla is also intelligent, so I don’t think that Kong is Smarter necessarily but that Kong is more clever and cunning

I recommend watching the old godzilla films, most are hit or miss but they are fun to watch.

On a side note, most Showa Godzilla movies post-Destroy All Monsters relied heavily on stock footage from previous films except for Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla.

The millennium series are just stand-alone films except Godzilla against Mechagodzilla and Tokyo SOS

The Reiwa series so far includes one live action movie, Shin Godzilla, while the rest of the current Reiwa movies are anime.

I mean both Exif and the Xiliens are good at deceiving humanity but the two species function in complete opposites despite their similarities.

Xiliens were known for their ability to control kaiju (including King Ghidorah)

Exif were the ones being controlled by a kaiju

"Canon" may not be the right word. It does seem to solidify them with an alternate name in terms of licensing. But there doesn't seem to be any in-universe reference.

We talked about KOTM and it’s writing quality (in which many of us have strong opinions on) then to Ghidorah, then Anime Ghidorah (I love the backstory and appreciate them trying something new), to me incorrectly calling Exif Xilliens
