After all the things that have been shown at conventions but never see the light of day to the general public I don't expect this to be any different. Highly doubt they will get a real trailer, maybe if they're lucky the 2013 comic con teaser but that won't be released to the public anytime soon.

You know like maybe five minutes after Godzilla or the Mutos destroy a city. Hell, they might even get to see some dialogue between the characters. See that supposed "character development" in action. Hell, I hope so. I really do. I just can't pretend to be excited. I really have tried to be excited. But let's not talk about me! Let's talk about something that's not depressing as all hell. The trailer? I don't think they're going to see it. They might. But what they're probably going to see, in terms of video clips, are probably a few scenes of post destruction, maybe a scene or two with the Mutos. But I wouldn't bet on them actually seeing the finalized Godzilla design. That's going to be kept under wraps until the movie is released, if WB and Legendary are smart.

Just because they're showing stuff... It doesn't mean that it will be released to the public anytime soon. Hell, it took a year and a half for the 2012 test footage alone to find its way onto the internet, and it didn't even last a week until Warner Bros and Legendary took it down. The second leak, the WIP trailer? Within hours. Preorder toy details, for christ's sake, less than a day. If anything is leaked from that place, it won't last a day before being pulled off the internet.

@**Al** LOL You do know what a trailer is right? Scenes from a movie edited in a quick 2 minute or less video to advertise the movie and grab the attention of the audience to see the full film. I can't believe I have to even define it. XD

The new movie Godzilla 2014 will be a hole new start too the Millennium series it,s like a new Millennium series like a second one so there might be a forth franchise if the movie is good.

To put it simply, Godzilla 2014 is a reboot to the "franchise" and there would be no point in talking about a sequel if Godzilla died. This is a new franchise. Godzilla can't die in the first movie of a franchise or else there is no franchise. Feel better now?

I agree with you xxsaberblackcrow, this is the final check on the the trailer before release. I recall the Cloverfield movie (I know, Abrams didn't know how to make a true monster movie) trailer they modified the Statue of Liberty head because people thought it was the wrong size. Same 'trailer check' could be here

I think the Muto is some kind of mutant insect (land based or sea based is unknown at this time). With the toy pre-order descriptions, it sounds like we will see more than one Muto. Part of me wonders if a Muto will use San Francisco for the same reasons as Zilla in New York City.

You really need to learn the importance of the words "spoiler alert". News or not, don't give away the movie to people who would rather wait for a trailer or the actual release date to find out anything about the story. Including myself.

Imagine if on release date of the movie,Godzilla actually rose from the surface,looking just like he does in the movie,only it's obviously in real life and even more awe-inspiring and terrifying. That would be amazing! Also,the governments would be unable to a damn thing because simply throwing money and nukes at him would do nothing!

After you brought this to my attention, I looked back to the call sheet image and sure enough... Exit SF On The Way To The Wharf "Low Angle on Soldiers carrying bomb w/ Muto in BG". I had never noticed this before so great find! I think Muto is its name (not positive so you could be right). Will keep an eye on this too just in case it's brought up in the future.

It seems very few people want to have a huge discussion about the music from Godzilla much beyond simply saying they hope the main theme is in the new movie. However I'd love to discuss and debate the different scores and their merit. I currently own every soundtrack from the series and enjoy them all on some level or another. There are certainly ones I enjoy over others, but the Godzilla series has had a pretty good track record regarding film score. It's hard to say which is my favorite of the lot.

I liked the suit actors but I feel that the CGI in a way would look better.

I really hope Legendary puts Godzilla's Theme in the movie.

I think some people are making the mistake of thinking this will be more realistic than it is actually going to be. I'm guessing it will be about as realistic as something like Cloverfield. About having a Toho monster, I'm fine with there not being one in the first film. Let Godzilla be center stage. But some of his enemies are almost as iconic as he is, and it would be kind of disappointing to not see at least one of two of them by the time the series is over. And about suit actors, get over it. suit acting just can't compare to today's CGI technology. before now, i could understand the argument, but now its just hardly an argument at all.

"Baby Godzilla" is Godzilla's adopted son. On Birth Island there was a Godzillasaurus egg in Rodan's nest. It hatched and a baby Godzillasaurus came out. Godzilla found him and adopted it. Minya, the grey one that was kind of ugly was just found and cared for by Godzilla in some of the earlier movies.

Since 1954 a few things have changed. The firepower we have today is nuts. I understand Godzilla is badass and unstoppable, but I would like to see a ummm more improved Godzilla for the modern world. Maybe Godzilla has new powers, like sonar, super eyesight like x-ray vision or eyesight like the mantis shrimp. I'm also going to assume he is a walking leaking nuclear power plant, leaving a trail of poison radiation behind him. What could really make Godzilla a big threat is being to produce EMT waves. Whole electric grid would go out. Cities would be in the dark before Godzilla even stomped his way through. Cell phone, radios, tv, gas pumps wouldn't work, aircraft and helicopters would fall out the sky too. Godzilla would not only bring destruction but chaos too.

Very interesting and great artwork. I\'ve always thought about how godzilla would swim and by looking at this picture I think godzilla would have a unique way of swimming compared to the rest of the animal kingdom. Seeing how long and flexible his tail is makes me think he would move through the water more like a snake then a crocodile, but it still would be a little different. With two large power legs he wouldn\'t be as graceful, but when needed he could just kick his legs and produce a powerful thrust launching him forward through the water. Just imagine what devastation this will cause, he could easily knock over large ships and even cause little mini tsunamis.

I hope the gill-like things aren't actually gills,or are just a vestigial feature remnant of a past lifestyle. Plus,the article explains why most Kaiju can grow so big without collapsing from their sheer mass due to the Square Cube Law,as well as they're various powers. Realistically in that sense,Kaiju are living nuclear reactors that are pretty much the greatest evolution of all life and surpass even the most advanced technology with their biology.
