@JMAC15 - Godzilla's thermonuclear breath is not "hotter than the sun." If it were, it would be an instant vaporization of anything caught in its path. The sun's core is almost 24.5 million degrees fahrenheit, and its surface is approximately 9,944 degrees. Any and all monsters/machines/buildings caught in the wake of such temperatures would be instantly vaporized or melted. If it was hotter than the sun, not a single enemy Godzilla had ever faced would have been able to withstand it, let alone take multiple blasts of it. You should review your understanding of what his thermonuclear breath is and how it works. It's just a concentrated beam of radiation. Hot? Yes. Hotter than the sun? Not even close.

Anyway, on the subject of how he'll fight.

Godzilla, being as large and bulky as he is in this incarnation, will likely be relying on close quarters swipes with his hands, stomps and short kicks (and I mean short) with his feet, and tail whips against enemies directly behind him. Given how bulky he is, moving fast enough to strike at anything in any direction with his tail, let alone a quick 360, is not going to be possible. He's just too big and too bulky this time to pull that off. The MUTOs would see it coming from a mile away and it would never hit its mark.

His tail might not even get time as a weapon in this movie, as it didn't make it as a weapon until King Kong vs. Godzilla when it became long enough to fit the role. This new version seems to have gone back to the original tail with a shorter and stouter design which was meant more for balance than anything else. I doubt it will be used as a weapon this time given how short it is in the official poster.

As far as his nuclear breath is concerned, I have no answers. I'm not an expert in nuclear physics or how nuclear power is made, maintained, or used, so any input I have is based purely on experience with Godzilla and not on realistic happenings with nuclear power. However, I don't believe it will be quite as much of a special attack or a supercharged attack so much as it is another of Godzilla's weapons. Never in Godzilla's history did his nuclear breath require a recharge time, and I doubt that it will change anytime soon. His breath will likely be his primary weapon for anything out of arms reach, and I doubt very much that it will require a recharge time or receive any kind of supercharged treatment compared to what it used to be.

water bears are fascinating, if certain kaiju have similar attributes it would explain a-lot.

The showa godzilla just doesnt make any sense,some of them looks like gorilla,some of them looks like a deformed lizard,most of the looks like a sapien..The muso gojia and 54 goji is the better

i like that water bear theory, it seems very reasonable and would certainly be something different than what american audiences are used to seeing. nice observation.

i think kong is slightly bigger in america because its an american classic, but i dont know that for a fact. for all i know godzilla is more popular here than kong is. i think its safe to say he's bigger in japan, so overall, godzilla is bigger worldwide. again, this is just my asssumption so correct me if im wrong. if we were talking scale, godzilla would step on kong and barely even notice it.

This is the truth. I preordered the Deluxe Destruction pack and the Attack and Roar Godzilla and when I checked out from ToyWiz.com they said ETA was January 30 2014 so I'm sure we will see a trailer and picturws of the toys shoertly

I could never sit through the early Mechagodzilla movie(s) because I could not stand Titanasaurus, especially that whiney cry of his. He was the worst. Gabera was pretty bad too, however, I like to think he was formatted around the little boy's bully in G's Revenge.  Oh, and I didnt think much of the Sea Monster Thing either.  I always had a laugh when Godzilla and the Sea Monster were batting the rock back and forth and when Godzilla got bored of it he just stomped into the osean and kicked It's butt.

Haha, thanks! I was surprised when talking around to people on Tumblr about it that they agreed too! It could definitely explain a lot, Water Bears can go for 10+ years without food, water, light, etc., maybe they're mutated MANY years ago (like 1954?) and they hide until now, they reveal themselves and M.U.T.O. is hunting them down? 

After talking around, this isn't happening. OTHER than the product embargo, BBTS does this all the time, they use a random date until they get actual information from the company. They do it with Star Wars figures all the time. 

Well Ilove Goji too but bigger than Kong?  Kong set box ofice records and got acadomy nomination on all three remakes.  Other than the original, Godzilla cant say that.  And Godzillas bigest box office success outside of Japan was fighting Kong.

Do you make Superman without Lex Luthor?  Batman without the joker?  When you do reboot inthis manor you run the risk of another 1998 Godzilla.  Too distent from theoriginal storyline to be legit.  The Hesi films  were realy a contimuation of the Showa as was the malinial series.  This new reboot is not, so a reworking of the other kiju form this universe makes sence.  If you are going to creat anew universe, why bother with Godzilla, just make a new monster.

The Godzilla in Final Wars is not Godzilla Jr. from Godzilla vs. Destroyah. How would that make any sense?

Godzilla Jr. didn't grow up until Godzilla vs. Destroyah which took place in 1995. The Godzilla in Final Wars was trapped in the ice in the 1960s and didn't wake up until 2004. So there's no way it could possibly be Junior.

EDIT: I know the wiki page says the battle at the beginning of Final Wars took place in 2004 and the rest of the movie takes place in 2044... I'm not sure where that came from though. I followed Final Wars as it was being made and remember a lot being made out of the "1960s scene" during the time of its production. I'm sticking with the 1960s-2004 timeline.

It probably would reach one by the time the design the Muto and new Godzilla is released.
