Ngl, I am very worried about that as well. I fear if this continues, we might be approaching a 2nd Showa era. Then again the Showa era is far from the worst and introduced many iconic Kaiju, but even the biggest Godzilla fans have to admit that that era was a bit of a low point for the franchise. If the Monsterverse does go in this direction, I might need to check out as well, let's it doesn't come to THAT point.

Yep, I’m all for monsters fighting, but if you are going to include people with a story, then tell the story. Doesn’t need to have a deep meaning or anything like the first Godzilla movie, but it could at least have a coherent story. Something to make me think and wonder about rather than fill in the gaps.

I know I said I would I didn’t know how long I would be gone, but I’ve made up my mind. I’ve decided I’m not coming back. The only way I’ll get this website out of my mind is if I make that decision. If I think, maybe I’ll come back then I will never be rid of needing to check it every minute of the day.
Also I would like to further explain my reasoning. I joined Scified at the end of a time when I thought the community was amazing. I don’t mean to say the people now aren’t great but I miss the older community. I feel out of place and I realize that the community will be that big with many people like before but I won’t be part of that. I feel like I joined in an awkward in between stage.
And I need to take care of myself.
