um yea in Godzilla vs mechaGodzilla 1974
Looks like we'll be waiting until 300: Rise of an Empire is in theaters if this is to be believed.
thanks man hope people will just shut up
It's on FACEBOOK.
On a GODZILLA 2014 facebook page.
Toho Kingdom is not an official or authoritive source. It's just a fan site. The original movie nor any of the Showa movies do not mention regenerative powers. The creators of the film never bring it up either.
Unless it was said with in the movie or from the creators, the retcon is inconclusive.
oh will thanks for clearing it out thanks Gman
Gman you are wrong toho kingdom said Godzilla 54 Atomic ray super regenrative powers
so... in my opinion hesei did not suck... its probaly the clooset thing to the 2014 reboot, hate to say it but, 2014 is probaly gonna be alot like the hesei so maybe you should re concider what your saying because hesei was the most realistic... in fact hesei if not the best then the most well respected...
Hey, JOSH, the image isn't showing up for folks on this end.
SHUT UP NOW!
It is never stated in the movie when Final Wars takes place, but lets assume it is 2037. There's still no relation between it and Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah, so I'm not sure what you're trying to say here. Even if Final Wars took place in 2037, 2204 is still just around 200 years later. So what is the point you're trying to make?
The Godzilla in Final Wars is not Godzilla Jr. Director Ryuhei Kitamura thought about making it Godzilla Jr. but decided against it. The opening credits scene doesn't mean anything. It was just a cool opening shot that Kyle Cooper was hired to put together for the movie.
I also want to clarify that it wasn't a Burning Godzilla Ghost, but Godzilla Jr. as an adult from Godzilla vs. Destroyah. The only reason those shots were used was because Kyle Cooper thought it looked cool, not because it was Godzilla Jr.
i would laugh and hope i can match the tune
The fact he was super gentle and caring about the city....... What made us all fans his atomic breath and massive destruction personality! -_-
i dont know if i can see that
Kaiju* stupid spell check does know Japanese words
Ok forget that he is bigger than 175 meters and more powerful so the other laity would say ohhh s@*+
Gman you are right about the timelines this movie takes place 2037 but i just thought of something in GvsKG 1991 King Ghidorah was something of the futurians i belive and japan was going to be destroyed or something and it all most the same thing in FW
FW is year 2037
GvsKG is year 1992
futurians are from 2204 so is King Ghidorah i think
and yes i do think Jr is in Fw because the intro ends with Jr or Buring Godzilla Ghost roaring that means his legacy lives on and and in that scene with the people in super x3 say that the radiation is really srtong so yes i do think Jr is in FW
That actually seems pretty likely to me, considering how the official description of the fim says that the monsters "threaten our very existence"- perhaps they might breed out of control and overrun civilization, hunting mankind to near extinction, if they aren't stopped, similar to the baby Zillas in GINO. I'm guessing that they'll be very similar to the Gyaos in the Gamera trilogy, in that they will be living hidden underground until they are disturbed/awakened by pollution, nuclear testing, or some other environmental problem caused by mankind, and will start eating people and breeding, with the only hope of stopping them being the military and a much more powerful monster (Godzilla) working together, intentionally or not, to destroy them. Maybe the sinkholes that the viral marketing seems to center around are either caused by the environmental problem and release the MUTO monsters into the world or are actully created by the monsters themselves burrowing up.
i think its more like just trying to get the train out of its way
I saw The Hobbit thrice in theatres, and not once did I see the Godzilla trailer. So, I cannot give you a recation.
Quite frankly-- why would you even care if people took godzilla seriously?
Part of being a Godzilla fan is liking something that isn't mainstream, that people generally scuff at. Becoming comfortable with who you are and accepting the fact you like something silly isn't a bad thing-- most of these people who would criticise you for liking godzilla like all sorts of goofy, stupid things too.
Also, picking on the silly things other people like (like super hero films) doesn't magically make godzilla better by association. I don't understand why so many Godzilla fans are so dang pursecution complex driven to just be total jerks about other fandoms. I get it, people make fun of you for liking dudes in rubber suits fighting, don't stoop to their level and return the favor of insulting the dumb crap they like. Because everything is dumb to someone.
I personally don't wanna live in a world full of 'fake' godzilla fans like bayformer fangirls or people who think wolverine doesn't wear a mask.
The idea that Legendary would go to such lengths just for a few Kaiju designs is hardly practical, whether or not it has indeed happened.
I've said it before and I'll say it again because it sums up my opinion in a single sentence: If Legendary can't make a successful franchise with their own unique monsters and story telling, they don't deserve the rights to make Godzilla films.
That's all.
DRAGONLORD TEVIN, you're not thinking on this very much are you?
Gareth Edwards is a fan of Godzilla, and he'll have created a LOT of ideas on different kinds of movies he'd dream of making about the Big-G. How many movie ideas do you have floating around in your head that you thought up right away after watching one of the movies? I'll bet you have quite a lot, even if you're not willing to admit to it since I pointed it out like this.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand the fact that great ideas inspire further ideas.
Godzilla's iconic status and his rich history in films have given millions of fans ideas for books, games, movies, and more. Do all of them become realized? Not at all, but they're out there regardless.
That post I made about a designing a Godzilla game was comprised of information I thought of on the spot after reading about another individual on this site posting about a similar idea. I took the concepts that I introduced to fuel their creative process, and decided to take things a step further. Every idea that I posted in that thread was off the top of my head as I wrote the thread itself. And it only took me about ten minutes to think of it all after reading someone else's comments about a possible game idea.
It doesn't take much, and Gareth's desire to create a Monster Island based movie was probably swimming around in his head before he even accepted the job from Legendary. Dreams don't always become reality, but they exist regardless. Do you think movies are made from whims? No, they're made from dreams which exist long before they're ever put to film.
Normally, I would agree that there is a high chance that Godzilla will only have impenetrable hide and no regeneration, but because of the toy descriptions that list a toy of Godzilla with battle damage, it seems most likely that he will have regenerative powers, but probably relatively slow ones that allow him to have visible wounds for maybe a few minutes, but still recover from any injury. Also, hide tough enough to resist even ordinary artillery, let alone the much bigger guns the military will pull out if the big bomb in the trailer is anything to go by, is not really much more realistic than a healing factor.
Godzilla 2000 is not Godzilla Jr.
The Godzilla in Final Wars is not Godzilla Jr.
Both are seperate Godzillas in different timelines that have no connection to the Heisei series.
Maybe it would bring the character into the spotlight, but I don't think it would make people reconsider what he did in the past.
what if the mutos EVOLVE OR METAMORPHOSISE AND ITS ACTUALLY MEGAGUIRUS OR MEGALON OR MOTHRA????
Given the fact that radiation doesn't just do what you want it to, Legendary is going to have to be very careful about how they play the regeneration and impenetrable hide if they even play them at all.
Godzilla's hide being nigh impenetrable is going to have to be a factor of his size, not the radiation. Radiation is an unstable element, and even with its influence Godzilla's hide would remain relatively unaffected by it regardless of howbig he's gotten. His size is going to be the key to his success when it comes to his hide and his durability, but even the most durable substances bend and break eventually. I have no doubts that even if his hide is played off as almost imenetrable, there are going to be ways to damage him before the movie's over.
As for his regeneration, I don't have thoughts yet because I'm still trying to figure the logic out. Why would Legendary keep such an unrealistic feature about a creature like this? Is the fact that they're going more for a realistic tone and human reaction going to mean that Godzilla gets to keep all of his previous fantasy traits like the regeneration? Answering those two questions is going to be the key to my opinion on the matter, but so far they remain unanswered so I can't give a real answer to the question regarding his regeneration.
I can say this though: If they use it, they'll need to be careful with how far they take it.
"G fans are willing to break-down everything second by second just to find clues on the new film, willing to think outside the box, come up with new ideas, are very opinionated, not to mention the fan-base is still growing day by day with the upcoming release, and last, protective."
That sounds like a description of every fanbase ever. And I wouldn't be proud to be part of a fanbase... it just seems like it's no different from being proud of being a member of a certain race or country.
@KYERO
"It's impossible to take Godzilla seriously. He's a creature of fantasy that could never actually exist, and he has powers and abilities due to his radioactive background that never would actually exist either."
Look who's talking...
people gasped, someone said "oh shit" then at the end of the roar godzilla does at the end this old couple were laughing
MOST Godzilla movies don't actually have a connection with one another. Most of them are just their own rendition
No I don't think so cuz I think Godzilla jr is Godzilla from final wars. Hera me out. At the end of the opening scene of final wars you see the ending of the movie Godzilla vs distroyah when Godzilla jr is revived from his fathers nuclear energy. The same scene shows so I think Godzilla jr is Godzilla from final wars
Yea in GFW that is junior but not in godzilla 2000 it could have been but toha did not wanted to make it like that which is kinda silly.
JUNKERDE, not to sound like an asshole, but I'm all with you there man.
He posts quite a bit of stuff that are just rumors and speculation...I'm not judging him about that...it's just true though. Alot of stuff he "reports" just doesn't...well go anywhere.
dont believe the joshua hopkins kid, if youve seen his other stuff and live casts that go forever, you will know.
SuperGodzilla from the old video game.
