Does anyone know roughly where the child lives/what area of the country?  I know that Make A Wish can fly children wherever, but if they stay close to him, it might help potential volunteers to know what city/cities the hopeful event will take place.

If neckbeard fantard would learn to stop being so butthurt angry about the fact that this site has Legendary's approval and not their beloved scifi japan or toho kingdom (both site members hate each for some dumbass reason) and grow the heck up, things would be great here.

There is no one making you come to this site and the site never promised absolute perfect news all the time, speculation is part of the game. a lot of members post dumb stuff all the time, but that is all fandoms everywhere. if you can't handle the shaem you have for your own fandom, move on with your life and go somewhere else.

A friend pointed this article out to me... and I'd love to be able to contribute.

Every Halloween, my friends and I put on a free show for the kids in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, New York.  A few years, back, we cobbled together a Godzilla themed production complete with a '62 Godzilla, King Ghidorah, and the Toho King Kong.

The show garnered rave reviews locally... and someone at NBC got wind of it.  I was invited to bring my home-made suiton the set of 30 Rock for an episode in season 5 of the popular series, "Chain Reaction of Mental Anguish".

The suit itself has gone through several changes since then (as the kiaju suits often did in the studios that Japan used to produce the classic Godzilla films)... but I still have the know-how.

Perhaps i could work with you folks to whip up a Godzilla costume for the little guy to wear so he could stomp around and wreck a cardboard city or two;-)

'Fear' of Godzilla is just a fantasy really at this point and only was a reality when his first film, Gojira, came out. Now a days, everyone knows that Godzilla is not real and that he never could be in any way except the metaphorical. Nobody is truly afraid of Godzilla today. His name is too well known and his past movies and toys create too much of what you might call an understanding between the fans and the Big-G himself to cause fear.

Admiration, yes. Inspiration, yes. Entertainment, yes.

Fear, not so much.

As for laughs, there might be a few here and there. However, in a movie like this, you need to have at least a little levity here and there. Even if it's as small as a few one liners to relieve some tension, it's necessary sometimes. When a movie's tone is mono throughout the entire thing, it gets boring no matter how cool the action might be. The story goes stale and the 'fear' and 'tension' die away prematurely. However nobody will be laughing at the Big-G for the sake of laughing at him. They might laugh out of awe and start going "that was badass" under their breath when their laughter dies away, but nobody who laughs is going to do so AT the Big-G, just for the awesomeness he creates.

I know I've laughed a few times in theaters during action moments, but it wasn't at what was happening, it was with it.

But back to the primary point, nobody is truly scared of Godzilla anymore. His own fame work against him in that respect. Not a single person will leave the theater wanting to pee their pants unless it's nature taking its course and they have to go purely for the sake of going.

As cool as it is Josh, it doesn't look new. I believe I've seen this image before a good while ago back in 2012 when most of the images were first released. I don't think this one made it to the forefront, but I do recall seeing it or something just like it before.

I doubt the people who laughed during the trialer will be in the group of people to go see the movie. Who would waste money on a movie they thought looked dumb? There's no way I'd go see a movie I wouldn't take seriously or thought was dumb unless it's for a date, and this doesn't really look like the ideal date movie to me.

Burning Goji will win for sure againts 2004 goji because obviously his power is massive.

I saw that video it was pretty cool, at first I though it was another one of those cheap troll videos.

^Not really laziness, there's just no market interest. Dubbing Raids Again and the original movie would still cost a good deal of money. No reason to do that when subbing them is cheaper and there's more of a market for it these days.

I don't know about you guys, but I want this movie to be terrifying.

The same reason they haven't redubbed Godzilla raids again to make it actually refer to him as Godzilla and not use Aguirus's roar.

This... is adorable! :) I do the SAME thing with my toys!  What a lucky little guy, he got to bring Godzilla to the set of Godzilla!  What an incredible memory he'll have!

@Madzilla's Dad; That is great news! Really wonderful news! I am so glad he is getting better. :)

Subs over dubs any day of the week and twice on Sunday for me, man!  I've always wondered why dubbing the original version has never happened, but I'm fine that it hasn't.  Seeing the Japanese version with subtitles was a revelation to me when I first watched it, and I've only watched King of Monsters a few times since.  I spent years locating the subtitled versions of all the films, and enjoy alternating between the American and Japanese versions.  While the dubs will always be nastalgic, when I want to experience the films the way they were meant to be seen, I watch the subtitled versions.  I think dubbing Gojira would be like dubbing Seven Samurai... it would just be insulting to the original.  No one would watch dubbed Kurosawa, nor should they.
