great stuff continue to do this amazing work it really is nice to watch those and like slirpyz said it really does bring back memories :)
i will admit slirpyz that zilla was an ok film but the producers are the ones who killed it because they didnt give the fans what they wanted but was just to make a film and yeah i am sure others really dont know the real godzilla when they see him, unless i am wrong. but anyway zilla was ok for a film it just wasnt godzilla.
Sounds awesome! The only problem is I personlly think that the DLC is unneeded. They al should just be playable. Unlockable, but playable.
If I can be completely honest, the 1998 US Godzilla film was the first Godzilla movie I ever saw, and was in love with Zilla. I had a Zilla backpack, bed sheets, toys, everything. Granted I was 7 and didn't know a good movie from a stick in the ground, but Zilla was just so cool to me! I remeber I asked my parents to rent it for me one night, and they brought back Godzilla 2000 by mistake. I watched that and my life changed. I was introduced to the Japanese Godzilla, the real Godzilla, and from there I slowly began to imerse myself in the fandom. That being said, I always seem to get crap for liking Zilla, recieving the age old "You're not a real fan!", even though I love the Japanese Godzilla much more. I'm 20 now and have been a fan for 13 years, and I want to say I LOVE to hear people like our friend NPINKHAM19 encouraging the fandom to branch out and be more accpeting, because lets face it, come May 16th, we will probably see a big fandom population boost!
what i hate about the movie is because it is so far away
Nice! I used to make Kaiju Movies when I was younger! Here is my most popular upload Godzilla Vs Zilla! Ah your videos bring back memories!
i grew up on godzilla, when i was 3 years old the very first godzilla film i seen on TNT was godzilla vs megalon, and i have been in love(so to speak) with this famous franchise. i have owned every godzilla film at one time on VHS, pretty much all the trendmasters toys i could find and grab at walmart, then fastfoward to 2013 my little nephew who is 6 now i gave all of the vhs tapes to him and replaced them with dvds for myself but dont judge me yet when most of them wouldnt play on his vcr i replaced them with the dvds for him as well. i have promised him we will see this movie and that we both will be owning the dvd copys when they are released. i can honistly say i have never been so proud of being a fan and to pass this famous franchise down the line to others :) now i have seen the snickers commerical yesterday and was very happy with it because gareth is giving us what we wanted and he is showing his respects to this franchise as well.
i also agree with gbetta35 and junkerde it is going to be a rough experience for the human characters and most likly the viewers of this film who watch it and are not godzilla fans like the rest of us are.
wait is godzilla 2014 dlc? And if he is why?
I have to agree with GBetta35 and Junkerde, Edwards isn't talking about Godzilla possibly dying, he's talking about the characters. While Godzilla is important, Edwards has said over and over again he wanted a very strong human element that audiences will feel connected to.
I have a feeling he's talking about certain character deaths that could affect us quite emotionally if we have a strong connection to the main characters.
And for the record, I didn't cry when Godzilla died in vs. Destroyah, I don't think another time would be any more affective.
The comment, "if you're a true fan you will [insert something regarding the franchise here]" is one of the lowest most arrogant comments any fan of any franchise could make, I agree. But it happens. I've spent a lot of time trying to persurve the Godzilla series and tokusatsu in a cinematically historical frame. That makes me no more of a fan than anyone else...
That said, and slightly off topic, I'm getting a little tired of topics about people needing to cool off, calm down, chill out or speculating why arguments break out from disagreements. They've been interesting reads, but I think I've seen enough of them from casual posters.
This thread sort of beats around that same bush. I'll allow it this time, but guys, lets stop making threads about aggressive posting on here and get back to Godzilla. We have plenty of mods now to look out for this sort of thing. We'll take care of it if things get a little too hot under the collar.
I feel like crying now.....with just the mention of Godzilla dying and everyone on this forum fighting.......my heart aches......lol.
@GodzillaFan1995
Knowing the history of DVD/Bluray covers, we'll get some really poor photoshop that isn't a poster at present...
i wasn't saying that your rant was exclusive to g-fans, i was talking about fandoms and their fanboys
My rant isn't exclusive to Godzilla. It's fanboyism egos that just inflate to their opinion as all knowing and the final word. Such as "hey Batman used a gun in this comic which is stupid because any TRUE batman fan would know he'd never do such a thing." With that they firmly imply that they are the one supreme opinion on batman and if you disagree with them than you can't possibly call yourself a batman fan. I try to avoid forums because of those inflated egos but I'm a Godzilla nut and have absolutely noone to talk to about this stuff that absolutely fascinates me. So lets all post some fun discussions here and keep our minds open to different view points.
How? Biolllante is massive I don't see how he's more plausible than the others
really the concept of a 'true fans' is a way for the older verteren fans fans to scare off new fans who have diffrent opinions on what the fandom likes. i live in the uk i have a few region 1 g dvds becuase there an't any r2 english dvds with the exception of Gojira 54 and KKvsG 62 so i haven't bothered getting any more untill there are any r-free blu rays or region 2 g dvds
I too have all the Godzilla movies on DVD and yes, I second GTBETTA35's comment!
We saw the claw of the muto from the box set and it was white. I'm thinking the toy is inaccurate. After all, buildings aren't army green and the Golden Gate Bridge isn't blue.
junkerde is right, this movie is about the humans and godzilla's effect on the human race, the emotional scenes are going to be from the humans, i better not hear from fans that 'oh this movie will suck becuase it has a lot of humans and not enough godzilla'. the 1954 gojira movie had a lot more human scenes compared to the rest of the showa series and they were good scenes
man i wish that daikaiju battle royal had better mechanics, if they gave me the source code i could work on it for them and update their graphics.
but ill probably just end up using a flash decompiler.
i agree with gtbetta35, if you love that emotional godzilla death, watch destoroyah or go back to 98 godzilla, this is real human characters here. That's what im expecting, tahts what he set out to be. Yeah i understand you all have different opinions on what sad is, but you are missing the point that he is saying the emotional parts are from the HUMANS, and thats what it set out to be. Dont say it SUCKED because there was no sad emotional 98 death from the monsters.
Well said GBETTA35. In a way the movie would be like the book Cell. It's not so much about Godzilla but about the people around him and their emotions towards him. Gareth must be very passionate about the movie to take this step, and now I applaud him for that!
If Gyaos, Iris, Clover, and Ultraman Belial had a child...
I LOVE HIM!!!!!!!! :D The red and black color scheme, along with his hooves, make him really look demonic! What the heck is this thing?! Is he cobbled together from various animal DNA, or something else that we haven't guessed at yet? I can't wait to find out!
Thanks for the sneak peak pictures! Its so wonderful to finally get a great glimpse at one of Godzilla's new opponents for the film! :)
Somebody please tell me those red marks on her head are not eyes..oh someone plz, that would look horrific
@ Hesperia Productions:
I love your work. I wish I had the equipment to make stop motion movies myself. Also whenwill part three of Godzilla vs the Alien Monsters come out?
I've already seen it plenty of times on the big screen lol! I spliced it before the spider-man trailer too in front of the 300 movie. Totally dwarfs the spider-man trailer in both depth and tone! Just doing my part as the projectionist! ;D
Are you all THAT stubborn? You'll only cry if Godzilla dies? The depth of the story Edwards provides will be what makes us cry. He didn't say us GODZILLA fans would be tearing up, instead that the general populace will, as well as us. It's a gripping human driven film. That's what he meant. That the family being torn apart would be what makes us cry. Can't wait. And i hate stubborn conservative Godzilla fans. He was killed by one man in the original. "He can't die by the military" hop off it.
why would anyone pay 7-10 dollars/pounds on a movie just to see a trailer, even if it's godzilla your just wasting money even when the movie (300 RoaE) could be good
I'd like to see them bring back biollante. that monster makes more sense than others.
i'd go, not just for godzilla trailler. i'm a fan of 300 and frank miller.
i don't think he'll die but godzilla will show empathy.
so which one of the offical posters will be the dvd/blu-ray cover
I feel like there's already one scene we're goina end up tearing up at and that will be near the beginning when whatever happens to Bryan Cranston's wife happens. So probably at various parts. Also during the scenes of destruction there were some heartbreaking moments involving families and children during the original Gojira so considering this new film is trying to match that tone I can see it happening.
I would want to be his first victim
