new theory.. you don't suppose there might be a cloverfield crossover  going on here with this monster?? it seems to appear like a Neville Page (cloverfield monster designer) .. design. ahhh... who knows.

FYI that image is not official. It's from december when the 3rd party godzilla toy proto-type leaked. It was printed on a piece of paper in the background and a fan put the pieces together. They were not official, licensed Godzilla products.

 Be careful of that site as Junkerde said. The prices on the products there are absurdly high

a oint i would also like to make, considereing that gareth edwards has never seen the heisei and millenium movies, i doubt that he will have the atomic breath in red or orange as that is too far distanced form godzilla classic atomic breath (neon blue and white), and considering the classic breath colour is unrealistic is NOT true, go type up chekov radiation and you may think that the blue colour is more realitic for a radiation type attack.

i don't even think they cared about the realism of the muto monsters, i'm sure they mostly focused on their design and their point in the script to give a scary appearence on screen

So we finally find out.  I must say I am disappointed that Godzilla is merely 350 feet when there was so much talk from the filmmakers about being the tallest ever.  By 20 feet?  Why bother to even mention size.  Biggest kaiju bigger than Godzilla?  Sad.  Apparently the nuclear "tests" at French Polynesian islands were not tests at all but attempts to kill Godzilla. Godzilla, king of the monsters?  It may well still be a great movie, but the false advertising of Godzilla towering over San Francisco as well as the size claims mean I've already got a problem with the director.  If his mouth is any indication, the film won't live up to the reputation Gojira deserves.

I suggest a warning on everyone who orders from MonsterIslandToys. Long story short, bad service, unprofessional owner, and I have transcripts from him threatening a customer to die. I'm going to advise you to be careful of this, I personally used this website, took 1 month to get 1 DVD, owner was VERY unprofessional and not helpful, not like they promised. Again, steer clear of MONSTERISlANDTOYS.

that third monster is the centipede type kaiju and my theory on the spider creature could possibly resemble that of the camel spider.

should've expected sony to make a re-release of their movie, despite the fact they already have done a blu-ray version that isn't even out of print, they even released a 4k remastered version

 It's difficult to say at this point. To me, they look like imbricate (overlapping) scutes (scale-like plates), not gills: He has the same or very similar scutes on the ventral (underside) part of his neck, and those are obviously not gills. Moreover, he appears to have imbricate scales on his arms with the same crenated edges. 

I would be surprised if they went through all this effort to give him plausible reptile/dinosaur anatomy only to put amphibian gills on him. Then again, considering that he would need connective tissue vastly stronger than that possessed by any other organism to support his his 60,000 tons of mass combined with the fact that he is radiotrophic (feeds on ionizing radiation) AND he can project plasma from his throat, a reptile with secondarily-evolved external gills is a relatively much smaller stretch biologically speaking. Lastly, some fish have both lungs and gills, as do many amphibians, so Godzilla would still have lungs as well as gills assuming he has them at all in the movie. Right now, they just look like overlapping scales like those of his throat and arms.

well lets see slattern was 180 meters from head to tail godzilla is 107 meters standing tall and probably 214 meters head to tail... i'd say godzilla without a doubt :) the jaegers where only 250 feet to 280 feet in height but were still cool.

Just my silly opinion......I would like to think that something "BIG" is coming, but most of those screeners were not hardcore G-fans like us. I just think that they saw a Muto and creamed there pants. Most of those people came in with the mind set that Godzilla was going to just rampage a city alone.....lol. These guys (screeners) dont hit up these forums like hardcore G fans like us......they got dozens of movies/ shows to review that most dont even deal with Kaiju. I just think they went in open minded and were blown away by the CGI. I may be wrong about that theory but until something concrete comes out and I aint talking about this brilliant PR game of secrecy that Gareth Edwards is playing.......I am staying grounded......Go Godzilla.

lets also remember that the dinosaurs in jurassic park had similiar noses to this but i really dont see anything wrong with this i like the overall design it really says godzilla :)

No if you look close at the lower claw you see there is no other finger and also his claws are white so even with the smoke you would be able to see it and you cant

No he doesnt, its just the way hes putting his fingers that makes it look like it, and also theres alot of smoke around him too which makes one of his hands obsecured 

I am very very very very very shocked that MUTO resembles the Cloverfield monster as much as it does. I am not saying this is a bad thing, it's just an obvious thing. Creature design takes months for a film like this. The process is slow and the creators take great care in all the aspects of a monster. MUTO's design is CLEARLY taken directly from what Abrams created Cloverfield, a movie that is very much still fresh in he minds of people who fancy themselves on giant monster movies.

They could be fixing them for re-release. I'm not sure it's possible.

When they said they were sworn to secrecy about things my first thought was they were protecting the identity of Godzilla's main foe. I know we've been ove rthis a thousand times - there aren't any other classic Toho monsters in this film excet Godzilla - but I'm starting to think that's not true and we will see modern re-imaginings of some classic monsters. We've already seen a good candidate for Rodan diving into the ocean so...yeah...I think when they jump in they're going to get an up close and personal look at Rodan for the first timeas he takes on Godzilla.

Considering we are starting a new fiscal quarter, this is totally natural. 

I'm sure if you searched other toys on other places you'd notice the same thing. 

Don't wanna be a jerk, but Ifukube never intended Godzilla's theme to be even called Godzilla's theme. It has anohter name-- and Ifukube's music is not suppose to be used anymore because of his retirement/death.

Do I wanna hear the actual ifukube music in the new movie? Yes. Its like hearing the Robocop theme in the new Robocop movie, it helped it quite a bit. Just that little bit of nostalgia can go far, but I'm fairly certain there will be no Ifukube music in this film. 

As far as music in films, I find if you're going for scary ambience, its best to have no music at all. The original Alien had no music and it is, still in my opinion, probably one of the best creature films ever made-- and I think Prometheus could have benefitted from toning the theatrics down a bit. I'm not saying take all the music out, but for real suspense, true suspense, music is not needed. 

Too many sound tracks feel like they are holding our hands, telling us what to feel at any one moment in the film-- I have a problem with that. But then again, in other areas, I love good music during fight scenes and such-- just not during 'suspenseful moments'.

Its all subjective and I'm sure people will disagree with me, but I do feel like hollywood hams up the music thing a bit too much.

Looking at it, design-wise, I don't know if it's just me, but the way I'm seeing it though, it's like, elements of different creatures. Take the "hands". The way it supports itself is very Orga, yet slim-line like the aliens from Independence Day with the multiple appendages, and the way it's arched over is rather Cloverfield...anyone see where I'm coming from?
