Isn't that the Neca thats been posted here for days? Or is it a different one?
Chris even posted news about it: First Look at NECA's Godzilla 2014 Figures!
Ha Ha Ha, not funny!!! Though I am a fan of Godzilla and I am eagerly awaiting the new film, Godzilla will never be a King Kong. It's always been obvious that Kong was no where near the size of Godzilla. Because if he was, he would have just snapped his jawbone and it would have been over. I love Godzilla, but Kong Rules.....
I'd like to say around 80 - 90% but when it comes to existing franchises critics seems to get very picky. Whenever a reboot or remake is made some always compare it to the past version they're most familiar with (King Kong, Man of Steel, Karate Kid) instead of as it's own thing.
I can already picture critics complaining that this Godzilla doesn't feel as light hearted as the Godzilla they watched as a kid. I hope this doesn't happen but I feel like it might be the case.
So basically, for critics I'll say 75% and a 80 - 90% for general audience. I hope I'm wrong and it's actually higher.
wait who is he talking to me or junkerde cuz if he is talking to, and connor potasse you are new i recommend you to go to one of my post and read the one that says that we are like a family and that we need to treat each and every one with respect and that you need manners, But all you need to know is that we need to treat each and every one her with respect.
Glad you said it...
I'm a big fan of films like; Lord of the Rings, Hobbit, Indiana Jones and Star Wars. But this is the movie that I want to watch the MOST! I just can't wait, and I think that Godzilla looks awesome! Okay, now lets talk about this picture. Godzilla's atomic breath doesn't look awesome here, but hey, that's just a game, and I bet that Godzilla's atomic breath in the film will look 102% better. I can't wait to watch this film but it's also nice to talk to you guys about this amazing film. :)
it all right man
Nothin sorry.....that wasn't even supposed to go in this thread sorry again
I don't really like swearing or sex in a movie . There are many series that were succesful without Swearing or sex like Star Wars , Batman , Doctor Who , Back to the Future and etc .
oh ok.....haha thanks. Nice description of that awkward situation GODZILLA 2014 RULES hehe funny
There really won't be any sex scenes as it isn't that kind of movie. I don't care what curse words they might use.
Has anyone read the graphic novel ? It's amazing !
If such a scene or movie calls for it, whether it be blood, cursing, sex, it doesn't matter what the hell you want Mr. Sensitive.
i dont understand
it a guy because my friend ask what it that lump below weird 6 pack armor and said i think that is man junk and so he said it is a guy so i'am going to go with he is a guy.
Why so little words........
Gareth Edwards is not on profanity ,so swearing and sex scenes will not be in the movie . It's like Dr Who have gore .
I predict a 7. 6 or 7.8 on IMDB . For Rotten Tomatoes i think 85%.
We have lots of people who like Godzilla in Bulgaria , like my cousin . So i want to give him a Godzilla Present for his birthday . Hope they can make it in eastern Europe too !
If I were able to get out of an intense state of panic and horror as I percieve the massive beast, I would try to stay out of eclosed spaces that could collapse on top of me while I wait for the impossible creature to pass by. Then I would cry.
1) Get a bottle of Jack Daniels and a liter of Coke
2) Roll a joint the size of my truck
3) Get tore up from the floor up
4)Bend over and kiss ass goodbye
I consulted the Toys R Us manager in Teesside, and he showed me that the products wil be available over here. Although, I saw no Giant sized Godzilla on the database.
i would do the unthinkable, i would do what no human has ever done in a kaiju movie!!!
run to the side,
instead of infront of the monster
They are being sold at Toys R US here in the U.S. so it should be there too. if not just wait a little longer till the films release gets closer and for sure youll find some.
I agree with most of the general numbers posted, but just remember one thing: critical reviews do not necessarily make or break a film. There have been movies that were roundly panned by film critics that did big box office with the public. Way back in the day, the original version of the Poseidon Adventure (not the Kurt Russel remake, which sucked) was universally trashed by most critics. It went on to be one of the highest-grossing films of that year, and spawned the 'disaster flick' genre, which went on for years afterward.
Also, as some members pointed out, the 1998 Zilla movie, which was slammed by most of the general movie-going public, did very good at the box office.
I'm leaning towards a box office success for this film, just going by the tack and tone that Gareth Edwards is taking on it, and the fact that it's about an iconic movie character that has instant name recognition.
Like everything else, we'll just have to wait and see...
A Gryphon figure would not go amiss either...

O_O you didnt write anything in your post.

Class: Deity
Category: Leviathan
Body Plan: Guirun
Codename: Placodermine
Specs: 60m Height/150m Length/3000 tons
Abilities: Sonic Roar, Sharpen Spinal Fin-line
The Placodermine, named for its similarity to the Placodermi lineage of ancient armored fishes, shares one distinct difference, possessing four amphibian-esque leg columns. As its namesake implies, it appears heavily armored with hard plates instead of teeth. It has a long fin ridge along its spine that can sharpen into effectively a blade-line. It crawls around on its four stocky limbs on land, but uses it's strong reptilian tail for locomotion in the water, its main domain. It possesses a powerful sonic attack which is expelled from its mouth in a wave pattern, disorientating or destroying anything in its path.
This particular PEMF (post-evolutionary mega-fauna) was the first of the second wave encountered following the Warmonger Conflict, and caught the Warmonger-lacking new Earth civilization off-guard. Its Divine Ichor Energy is relatively average for a Deity-class Guiran Leviathan, but is still strong enough to shrug off most HANC (Hyper-Accelerated Nuclear Cannon) rounds and support its 3000 ton body. It took 5 days of HANC fire, totalling around 27 rounds, to take down the creature. And it's only the tip of the iceberg...
Cool, I was hoping he would have firebreath and without it, it would not be godzilla's proper return
@KingKaijuGojira
Godzilla vs. MechaGodzilla II was originally supposed to be the last Heisei Godzilla film. But Sony/Tristar scrapped their 1994 film. So Toho went ahead and made two more Godzilla movies while Sony/Tristar went back to the drawing board and created GINO.
The 1994 film was to feature Stan Winston effects, was going to be directed by Jan de Bont (Speed, Twister) and feature a monster called the Gryphon which Godzilla would do battle with.
Sony decided the movie would cost too much so they scrapped the idea. Much of the storyline, however, seems to have inspired parts of Gamera: Guardian of the Universe. So you can get the gist in that film.

Yeah. This picture is all over the internet now. Its on www.toywiz.com
Oh, okay...Wait! There was going to be a 1994 American film. I don't see how they could have pulled that off. Godzilla was fighting Spacegodzilla that same year.
GMK all day. Godzilla Mothra King Ghidorah was a Bad Ass movie. Millenium era kicks ass.
I actually wonder if the dorsal fins lighting up could be some sort of mating-display. One that also involves the breath weapon, showing that the Godzilla has the energy to waste on displays.
i love how it looks like godzilla is smilieling at king kong...:)
