#halflife3 confirmed
Here I found something on Wikipedia:
In his 2006 re-evaluation, Carpenter examined the paleobiology of giant sauropods, including Amphicoelias, and addresses the question of why this group attained such a huge size. He pointed out that gigantic sizes were reached early in sauropod evolution, with very large sized species present as early as the late Triassic Period, and concluded that whatever evolutionary pressure caused large size was present from the early origins of the group. Carpenter cited several studies of giant mammalian herbivores, such as elephants and rhinoceros, which showed that larger size in plant-eating animals leads to greater efficiency in digesting food. Since larger animals have longer digestive systems, food is kept in digestion for significantly longer periods of time, allowing large animals to survive on lower-quality food sources
I think the only this I have agenst zilla is, well, HES SO GODDAMN SMALL.
I think this is a great Zilla thread, from now on any Zilla threads related to "Hate" or "In defense of" will be linked to this one.
My favorite quote from the comment section:
"If you rely on Cracked to decide which movies to see you might as well stay home and watch re-runs of Family Guy."
The fact is, until you see the actual film, it doesn't matter what anyone else says. There are people who've seen scenes and/or the whole film and who've loved it. Keep that in mind. And, in all honesty, from all the interviews and previews it looks fantastic; from a good movie point-of-view as much as a good Godzilla movie.
As far as I'm concerned, waiting for this film is like waiting for a new Naughty Dog game; I know it's gonna kick ass and I'm going to love the shit out of it, it's just the wait that's really negative for me.
ok people, can someone tell me and talking strictly from the trailor, did the scientist nuke mommy Godzilla in 1954 and then another one grew up over the years and awoke in 2014? or they nuked it in 1954 and it went into hibernation?
Too true, all we can do is speculate as of now!
My GIFs are not very good, look at the trailer rather, you just have to look at the right spot at the right tim ;) Yes, you're right Zaffzilla that's look like a frog jumping throught the mist ! So, we just have to wait to see more now ;D
That's brilliant actually SOMETHING REAL, it's going to be extremely interesting to see how this unfolds in the film. It would be acceptable to see the muto creatures devour humans "like skittles" haha but somehow I just can't see godzilla doing it.
No matter how hard i try, I just can't picture godzilla actually eating something solid. Yet saying that (and I'm no evolutionary expert)why would godzilla need a mouth if he's not going to use it for eating.
A dollar? Hmm... Sounds like Classic Media's Bluray disc being sold for a low price since it's obsolete...
Dinozilla, if you buy Bluray's avoid this version at all costs:
Classic Media's Godzilla Bluray
This is the one you want:
The difference is Classic Media's Bluray is a bad upgrade from their DVD. One could argue their DVD looks better. It also has no extras and doesn't include Godzilla: King of the Monsters (American version).
Criterion's version is a complete remaster from Toho's original materials. It's the best the film ever has and ever will look. It also includes the American version and probably more special features than any other Godzilla release.
Classic Media's DVD set is really nice, but... then again, so is Criterion's DVD set... So... if it comes down to DVDs you're on your own there. Criterion's DVD set looks better no doubt, but both DVD sets have incredible special features.
I give zilla some serious respect. I mean, you try going from a baby ignuna to a giant tunahead.
And the final result?....Probably this. xD
No one knows. I would assume that since he was partially cared for by humans he lived a more peaceful life than his father. Seeing as Japan becomes the most powerful country in 2204, according to Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah, it's a safe bet he never attacked Japan or gave it any trouble.
Its a figure re-issue.
They improved its articulation.
The photo is meant to show you that it could be used in the regard of Jr, just as Adult JR is more than likely a reused costume anyway-- thus meaning who this monster is is up to your imagination when you're posing it.
Bandai does this everyonce in a while, be happy they have. They re-did their Kamen Rider black and Black RX figures to make them better articulated/look better.
^Doesn't mean it's an adult Godzilla Jr. Just means they thought it would be a cool promotional image of their new toy.
Well godzilla was going to kill and eat a monster in a early draft of godzilla vs biollante, that being said in this version he might of ate other monster in the past for their radiation, but now that I think nuclaer weapons take that spot in his diet.
Actually, yes, now that you mention it, that would be pretty unsettling. XD
Totally. Excellent example. :) Man, this is making me want to see them team up even more than I wanted them to before! Lol.
True. I could see the MUTOs seeing Godzilla as a food source, being that they feed on his radiation from what I know. Or it's at least the assumption. Interesting if Godzilla actually saw THEM as one. A predatory Godzilla. Hm, interesting.
NOT DA MAMA!
@Something Real
Totally! Yes, Godzilla is the muscle, and Zilla is the rest. That's another thing that makes Zilla so interesing to me. Since they're so different, they would make such a team with all their differences put together.
Plus... imagine the destruction!
That last part made me laugh. XD
Anyway, that is a really interesting question. I hadn't really thought about that. I would think that they would have to feed on more than just radiation to survive, but that's pretty tough because.... what else WOULD they eat?
I suppose I could see the MUTOs eating... people. But not Godzilla. He's never eaten people before, not to my knowledge. So it would be surprising to see him do it here. Also, from what I've heard, humans are kinda like ants to Godzilla. He doesn't really notice them. So eating humans seems kind of out of the question to me.
That said, I have no idea, to be honest. Your guess is as good as mine. Like I said, I would think that they would have to feed on something more, but being that the range of options for them to choose from is pretty limited, maybe radiation is all they need.
