Yeah, it shows how big the Winged Muto is. And he is much cooler than the toys show. Especially shown in this picture.

Remind you of anything? ;)
@THISMEINTEIL
You might be overthinking it. I viewed that scene as if Godzilla was standing in place for the most part, and just turning around. Not necessarily walking away, turning around, and then walking back into view.
But you are right, animators do oftentimes sacrifice realism or consistency with size and distance in order to make shots look 'cool'. So it could be that as well.
Dang I am so exicted for this movie AAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!! It just looks so amazing! I love how we have sen so much from the movie yet know so little about it!! Talk about marketing.
@THISMEINTEIL I was thinking the same thing. The only explanation I can think of is if it is not his tail or its just a matter of perspective, but even then is doesn't make much sense...
He's fighting the Muto! ^
THIS IS SO GREAT~
Also, I think the animators screwed up the one scene for Godzilla coming out of the smoke. There's is no possible way for that tail to belong to Godzilla (I know it is his tail) unless he is super fast to draw it into the smoke then walk back a few steps and then walk through the smoke again.
Lol, I'm not entirely sure what that means :-)
If that's the award for somebody who doesn't have enough to do at work, so likes to post walls of text on Godzilla forums while getting paid, then yeah sure, I win that award hands down! :-)
@GGOJIRA45
If you're watching them on Youtube, if you click on the 'gear' symbol to open the setting (the same menu you set the HD level), there is an option to adjust the speed.
Playing it at .25x or .5x makes it MUCH easier to pause at the right moment for screenshots.
Or you could always just spam the snot out of the Windows/Alt/Ctrl (or whatever your computer has it binded to + the 'Print Screen' Button and just succeed via the power of random luck :-)
Thats crazy i hpoe we see more in a trailer or tv spot
Thank goodness that they manage to stop the true terror, Thomas the Train.
I never understood the appeal of vehicles with creepy human faces.
@Madison
You are awarded the Mojojojo award.
Damn those are some AWESOME screenshots.
That basically 99.9% confirms that the Winged Muto at least, will have to change sizes as the film goes on or there is more than one of them.
Because the shots of him diving into the water, and straining against the wiring he is WAY smaller than in this shot now where is grappling with Godzilla.
Unless they just screwed up the scaling in the shots really bad. I mean, scaling issues are impossible to 100% avoid, but I don't think Gareth would have it be THAT bad.
So yeah: #morethan2Mutosorsizechanging/growingMutosconfirmed! :-)
@ guategojira
I don't think those are seperate scenes from what was shown in the first trailer. I think they just added the MUTO into that scene so they didn't give away his look before now.
Man, Bryan Cranston's performance in this is great. Especially the interrogation scene where he states he has a right to know. Almost brought me to tears. Can't wait til the movie is out.
That kinda surprises me tbh. This movie hasn't been especially shot for 3-D or anything. I imagine the 3-D will look 'OK'.
I don't mean to say the special effects will be 'OK'. I imagine/hope the special effects will be quite good. Maybe not Smaug good, but still pretty good.
However the 3-D effects specifically, or what 3-D will add to the film over the 2D version I thought would probably only be pretty marginal.
I don't actually know, but based on what I've read/seen so far, I'll be pleasantly surprised if the 3-D elements of this film are significantly above average.
It's probably just not scientifically accurate.
See what did i told u? i said that the big surprise is godzilla fighting muto in the halo jump scene.. http://www.godzilla-movies.com/community/forums/topic/32734
i'm really seeing the scenes blend together now. With the initial trailers we just had disparate images, but with all the new tv spots and this extended trailer, i now understand better the flow of events... without actually knowing anything about how the plot unfolds. Hows that for marketing?
Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed today?^
Here is a clear shot of Godzilla fighting the M.U.T.O :)

I'm locking this, there is no need for it, and it has nothing to do with the 2014 film.
Why make a post for this? Like you mentioned, it's unfunny fan fiction.
We can't make a topic every time we find something fan-made that's Godzilla related, and we can't make a topic every time we see something we don't like.
It seems like a really badly written fan-fiction.
The hero doesn't need to win every tale.
I messed with the Halo scene and here is what I came up with.

I thing I explained myself poorly. I mean more along the lines of giving everything up, even his son which causes the rift between them.
Some people have said that the muto's might feed off of radiation (which would explain the power station attack) but what if the three helicopters, with the one carrying something in the middle are carrying a radiation source (a nuclear bomb) and leading a muto to godzilla. Something happens and the bomb goes off, both muto and godzilla survive and start fighting, this is the shot above of godzilla and the muto. This then leads to the scene of the soldiers opening a bunker to a destroyed looking place, the bombed san fran.
@dynamicpeanut
That was pretty much a given,(not being a sarcastic dick) but he even say in the trailer "you're hiding something, I'm not crazy" he knew that it wasnt an earthquake or any natural disaster watch all the trailers again and you'll see that your theory is very right but also is proven in the trailer. Good spot on the newspapers though i didnt notice them!
During the scene in which the muto can be seen on the monitor the creature looks incredibly beefy compared to the toy, a lot stronger in a sense!
When Byran Cranston looks at the computer in the power station, the screen shows exactly the same as the screens behind the general/military leader where you can see both muto's.
Also when Bryan Cranston and Aaron Taylor Johnson are talking there seems to be a lot of newpapers. Is it possible Bryan Cranstons character went a little crazy after his wife died and tried to prove something attacked the station?
Love your enthusiasm. But we do have a thread for this alread. Lets keep your comments about the trailer into one thread. Thanks.

Closed.
if you guys look at the screenshot it looks like godzilla is biting something and you can see an arm in front of him and a red glow by what he is biting
What does anyone think this scene is? Is this Hokmuto's arm.

Here is the link to all the pictures of it on Neca's website.
GUATEGOJIRA Yeah dude this movie is wayyy too mysterious, I honestly cant predict anything anymore cuz this movie can go thousands of ways that we never thought that would happen
