OMG yes you know, right after the halo jumpers are coming, this is what you see. Is that muto the size of Godzilla or just higher above him? Hmm probably just higher
Linkman89April 05, 2014
I saw this pic in another thread but I couldn't tell what I was looking at other than Godzilla... Well from what I've heard the flying MUTO is supposed to be close to Godzilla's size and a formidable opponent so it may be size not distance

dinoboy22April 05, 2014
i gotta say the muto are really growing on me. those toys really dont do them justice

U DONT EVEN KNOW MY STRUGGLE WITH GETTIN MY FINGER TO MOVE FAST ENUGH TO PAUSE IT AT THE RIGHT MOMENT XD LOL

All I see is Godzilla and what looks like a building in the foreground of this picture.

GuateGojiraApril 05, 2014
Something seems wrong with Godzilla here. Taking in count the time that takes the halo jump and the fact that Godzilla is almost immobile all that time and now, the Muto is over it and he STILL “looks” immobile, I think that in this scene (this is just pure speculation), Godzilla is somehow paralyzed by the Muto, just like giant wasps do with tarantulas. If this is true, the speculations about the "incredible thing that will happen" in this particular scene could be that Muto is attacking a defenseless Godzilla, absorbing his energy or trying to lay its eggs on it! Maybe, the military are there to help Godzilla. I don't know, there are too many possibilities with this simple image. This is more exiting every day.

Just click the picture symbol in the reply dialgo box. It will pop up a screen ask for the source of the image. Be sure that it is uploaded somewhere online. It cannot be uploaded directly from your computer or a flashdrive.

GUATEGOJIRA Yeah dude this movie is wayyy too mysterious, I honestly cant predict anything anymore cuz this movie can go thousands of ways that we never thought that would happen
JurassicGodzillaXenomorphParkApril 05, 2014
if you guys look at the screenshot it looks like godzilla is biting something and you can see an arm in front of him and a red glow by what he is biting

During the scene in which the muto can be seen on the monitor the creature looks incredibly beefy compared to the toy, a lot stronger in a sense!
How far can we push nature before it pushes back?

Here is a clear shot of Godzilla fighting the M.U.T.O :)

i'm really seeing the scenes blend together now. With the initial trailers we just had disparate images, but with all the new tv spots and this extended trailer, i now understand better the flow of events... without actually knowing anything about how the plot unfolds. Hows that for marketing?

@ guategojira
I don't think those are seperate scenes from what was shown in the first trailer. I think they just added the MUTO into that scene so they didn't give away his look before now.
Man, Bryan Cranston's performance in this is great. Especially the interrogation scene where he states he has a right to know. Almost brought me to tears. Can't wait til the movie is out.

@GGOJIRA45
If you're watching them on Youtube, if you click on the 'gear' symbol to open the setting (the same menu you set the HD level), there is an option to adjust the speed.
Playing it at .25x or .5x makes it MUCH easier to pause at the right moment for screenshots.
Or you could always just spam the snot out of the Windows/Alt/Ctrl (or whatever your computer has it binded to + the 'Print Screen' Button and just succeed via the power of random luck :-)

Also, I think the animators screwed up the one scene for Godzilla coming out of the smoke. There's is no possible way for that tail to belong to Godzilla (I know it is his tail) unless he is super fast to draw it into the smoke then walk back a few steps and then walk through the smoke again.

godzilla3580April 05, 2014
Dang I am so exicted for this movie AAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!! It just looks so amazing! I love how we have sen so much from the movie yet know so little about it!! Talk about marketing.
@THISMEINTEIL I was thinking the same thing. The only explanation I can think of is if it is not his tail or its just a matter of perspective, but even then is doesn't make much sense...

MadisonApril 05, 2014
@THISMEINTEIL
You might be overthinking it. I viewed that scene as if Godzilla was standing in place for the most part, and just turning around. Not necessarily walking away, turning around, and then walking back into view.
But you are right, animators do oftentimes sacrifice realism or consistency with size and distance in order to make shots look 'cool'. So it could be that as well.

Daikaiju DanielleApril 05, 2014
In the scene where you see the Mutos on the monitor, the Winged Muto is about to take flight.

TROLL TIME:
Did anyone else notice that the Muto is biting the exact spot where Godzilla's gills are supposed to be????
The Muto has found his weakness!!!! DUN DUN DUN!!!!

Gerry22April 05, 2014
@daikaiju_danielle :D maybe even the soldiers were fishing! xD hahaha
Now I think the army created MUTOS to destroy Godzilla... what do you think?

RyomiApril 05, 2014
Those patterns are the same as when Brody is looking at the monitor and knows his wife is in danger. I think they are radioactive signatures.

Dragonlord TevinApril 05, 2014
daikaiju_danielle Hah dont even bring that up haha, and yes im pretty sure everyone here got the recognition of that scene. Honestly I wished it looked kinda different when Godzilla's spine is sticking out of water so it doesnt look too much like zillas

Something RealApril 05, 2014
Hopefully, the "spines out of the water" scene will have a more ominous context to it - rather than being a direct throwback to a certain other film THAT SHALL NOT BE NAMED... ;)

This may have been said already, but I haven't seen it... Anyway, there's another decently clear shot of the MUTO head. It comes immediately after the helicopter shot of the MUTO, around 2:21. The shot itself is an aircraft crashing into what seems to be a forest, but in the first few frames you'll spot the glowing red eye and will make out the rest of the head.
MadisonApril 06, 2014
Yeah, that shot of the Muto's head in the jungle was revealed in one of the TV spots before this extended footage was released.
If you haven't already, I would definitely check those TV spots out. Almost each one (there are like 6/7 of them) contains at least some small bit of unique footage that the other spots/trailers do not have.....including some shots of Godzilla's foot that match what was described at the San Diego Comic-Con :-)
I really hope that SDCC footage gets released to the public at some point. Even if it's just part of the special features section on the DVD.
