@Destroyah-X:
I'm with Gojifan02! Where id you get this information?!?!
@Destroyah, what's ur source for knowing the runtime (just wondering)?
it's AWESOME!
I have to give WETA some credit, it's fantastic
Corrected: the movie duration is 98 minutes (1 hr 38 minutes) and i typed it as 138 mins earlier instead
cool can't wait to see it painted!
I'm accually going to see Godzilla in I-MAX 3D!!
@Daikaiju_Danielle, even tho I don't get to go, it should be longer.
@Daikaiju_Danielle:
I could NOT agree more! It needs to be a week long! Heck, a whole month wouldn't hurt! :D But my motto is "Live Every Day Like its G-FEST!"!
@awesomejaijufan, how do u know A GODZILLA came out of the rubble? cuz I'm just wondering ?
and I think he saw a HokMuto cuz the seismic graph is the same as the pic where it showed Staittharen and the graph is the expact same!
@Kaijujira:
I wouldn't be too woried about that! There isn't a rule that you can't give your characters a name like Brody because another movie happened to use that name.
But you are totally right! The name definitely brings Jaws to mind! Its a name that harkens back to an older time in Hollywood, and conjurs up warm feelings of classic adventure films like Jaws and Close Encounters. Its little wonder that Gareth Edwards has cited those films as inspirations for Godzilla! He has mentioned Jaws as being one of his favorite films several times, so there is a fair chance that the name Brody is an homage to the original summer blockbuster! :)
well, there's 2
1. Daisuke Serizawa. it's just so imotional when he dies!
2. Joe Brody. I care about him because his wife dies and it's looking dark for him!
EDIT FOR #1. the whoe cast but the most, Daisuki Serizawa
well, I think Godzilla is gonna be around 1:30 mins - 1:45 mins. yea that's kinda short but still it'll be short and awesome.but if it's anything over 2 hours I'll be suprised, why? well that'll mean MORE human sceens and more action or mabye less action, never know.
CONCLUSION: 1 hour 30 mins - 1 hour 45 mins.
EDIT: I also saw C.A. and the trailer was in it!
GMAN2887-
Its interesting you mentioned Dr. Yamane, since the actor who portrays him, Takashi Shimura, was such a talented actor with a terrific resume. Shimura's association with Gojira alone elevates that film for me. His long association with the great Japanese director Akira Kurosawa such as Seven Samurai and Rashomon and also in other great classics like Stray Dog made an impression on me. If I'm not mistaken, apart from the Seven Samurai, he also starred in a number of other films with Toshiro Mifune.
jkzilla15 well godzilla does know how to dance so im pretty sure you can make the neca toy dance too

gefest needs to be longer! D: Not enough time to absorb the awesomness!
^^^ or that is the case
^^^ WOW THAT MAKES TOTAL SENSE OMAHHHGOOOODDD, THANKS FOR THE INFO TROLL
GTBETTA35, crap, im cheap and i only go watch movies on my theaters special 5 dollar tuesdays, now im wanting to check out cap america in imax but its also pretty far from here and im also lazy and cheap, ehh im totally watching godzilla in imax 3d but captain america ill just watch it regularly
Guys just look at all the stills like i did, the movie takes place in TONS of different places, so im thinking this movies gonna be super long with each different scene and location gonna have to do with something important, and we know important means long ;) jk but its gonna be pretty dang long i know it
"If neckbeard fantard would learn to stop being so butthurt angry about the fact that this site has Legendary's approval and not their beloved scifi japan or toho kingdom (both site members hate each for some dumbass reason) and grow the heck up"
This post reeks of childish ignorance.
As I write this I am at my job (I work at an IMAX). I literally go inside the theater (we only have one monstrous 4 story screen) during previews just to watch it. My favorite part is the door closing shot of Godzilla. so damn massive, spine tingling-just wonderful. He looks amazing. More and more amazing every time I see it. Just finished watching it yet again a couple of minutes ago.
This past Friday night I came and saw Captain America with my family, packed house sold out in the 350 person theater. I started clapping like crazy after the trailer and by the time the second trailer started you couldn't even hear it! The whole theater was clapping and screaming!!! It was absolutely nuts!
I told people not to judge the movie on its cgi from the trailers. The cgi looks great in my opinion and regiie just proved my point thanks:)
I thought you had the runtime? Thanks for the disappointment :(
Impressive. I wish I had the talent to sculpt. I have the patience... Just not that talent.
Double post. Lag is definitly the culprit!
im seeing it in imax mainly for the sound
thanks for the feedback and advice! :D it is much appreciated
@Gojira19- Copyright isn't truly a problem for me, as this is merely a work of fan fiction, and will never be used to procure profit. I have my own stories for that.
@KingKaijuGojira- A-ha! Courage is not a problem my friend! You must simply love what you have done.
@Somthing Real- I'm glad to see you're watching my snooping, and I like your ideas. The United States, at least, is full of pretty brute-ish individuals, and the way we protray our military definitly suits that mindset, though the American Federation is made up of more than the ol' US. Taking into account the whole of North, Central and South America, that's when you get the AF. Your AMEE suggesstions are actually quite spot-on with what I have at the moment, though poor Gorosaurus has already croaked. As for the AU suggesstions, I like the thinking, though I don't think anyone would like seeing Godzilla faltering to mind-control once again. Eh? And yes. Steampunk is amazing, isn't it?
@Maggleshackle- You'll like what I've got in store for this, then. Although, I've always felt SpaceGodzilla was a bit runty. I mean, the games made him a force to be reckoned with, but I've never really liked him. I've always felt he wasn't up to the game.
@Julien Barresi- Oh-ho, you think my mystery kaiju will be Bagan, eh? I'll give you all a treat for this guess: He might make an appearance. ;) I really do love your thinking, though I will say this, there won't be any alien humanoid plotting going on here! As for the video-game feeling you are getting, it is actually inspired by the Godzilla games (Unleashed to be exact). A friend of mine actually made a game called Sekai taisen daikaijū, from which this is very heavily based. Due to copyright issues, he has not released this game for public use.
Analysis- Your feedback is really nice. You might just get a slight tweak or two out of me! Keep it coming people! Pass it around!
Glad you like it
I want it and I want it now!
IF you think the sketch is better,then there's something wrong..your sketch is pretty good,but i think your colouring method is not right..your line art is too bold adn lots of blocky black spots..but overall i think it's quite nice
Many of the shots we've had are only glimpses at whatever Godzilla's doing. I think a lot of the poor ones are simply just lighting from whatever scenario is going on.
Nice! Can't wait to see it painted.
He may have said that but it looks great in 3D as well.
@GodzillaFan1995
I mentioned Shindo, but you're right Yoshio Tsuchiya is a spectacular actor. He's been in a great deal of different movies.
And there are some decent characters post-91 and others I missed in Showa, but I feel like the list above are the standouts. Atleast to me.
Gareth said the movie was intended to be seen in 2D, and I trust him on that. I definitely want to see it on a big screen, though!
@gman2887, i really agree with everything you said, for GvsKG91 you forgot to mention the guy who played Shindo, and i like how you skipped the post 91 heisei movies and GxMegagirus
