My latest Godzilla 2014 art and progression

so first i sketched a rough draft, then made one in pen, then colored it with gimp2.8, and finally edited with the tools in the windows 8 photo viewer. personally i think it looked better before i colored but thats just me, what do you think? any advice? thanks!

looks fairly accurate but the last photo, its chest looks more like a ninja turtles chest.

IF you think the sketch is better,then there's something wrong..your sketch is pretty good,but i think your colouring method is not right..your line art is too bold adn lots of blocky black spots..but overall i think it's quite nice
