@Danzilla93- Ah, the vast world that is the internet is filled with such strange things. Especially .gifs of Steve Carell.
Very good. Very original, better than Akira Ifukube's work? YES!
How interesting! Also, the Atomic Breath screenshot is accurate! :D
(he answered my question! Yay!)
Alexandre Desplat, you truly are a god on making monster movie scores.
I think that Joe Brody will die. If you listen to the "Whatever it takes" TV spot, what he says and the way he says it, sounds like his last words to Ford before passing away.
I'm going to be seeing the original Godzilla in Hollywood this Saturday, which Gareth happens to be attending. If I happen to pass him or if he takes questions, I want to at least thank him and his team for the effort and courage to try to bring Godzilla back. We have yet to see the movie, but it looks like it's been handled well so far and it could have gone a lot worse.
Out of any other member in this web, i think junkerde has the most foul mouth of all..I dont know what is the reason of you being rude and talk like shit though..u r are so arrogant and ignorant..please change that..
As mentioned, we already have a thread here:

^ Yeah, what he said.
I'm hoping, I'm right that this movie going to kick ass. I'm crossing my fingers on this one. Godzilla is awesome.
In my opinion, I think this movie is going to rock, by looking at these trailers, the footage looks awesome and of little we truly know about the script or story we need to see the movie 1st. You can have lots of action in a flick but if there is no good story to support it, it's going to suck. But I don't think that's the case, Gareth Edwards said he grew up a godzilla fan and the casting seems great and again by looking at the trailers, I have to assume that this movie not only is it going to rock but going to be epic as well. So far my verdict is, I'll applaud him, cause I think they put a lot of effort in this film and seem to care to give us the godzilla we deserve, a kick ass film. Even if I'm wrong, it doesn't matter, 1st impressions mean a lot and I'm impressed with what I saw out of those trailers I've seen.
Hey guys, I'm the guy behind this suit's performance and construction. Still unfinished, so be sure to visit https://www.facebook.com/ProjectNautilusCosplay to check out it's progress! thanks :)
i had a strange dream once see i was on top of a building but in toyko and off in the distance was godzilla but more spacephically the 1990's godzilla but not the 98 one and he was fighting mecha godzilla2 it was so vivid they were completly wrecking the city in the process of the fight but i just kept watching as they kept beating eachother relentlessly then godzilla shot out his atomic breath there was a bright flash of light then next thing i knew mecha g2 was down godzilla let out a victorious roar the he turned and looked my direction i was atleast a good 500 feet from him he just kept looking then i felt a rumble i looked over the side of the building there was a huge hole from his atomic breath next thing i knew i was falling i hit the ground i got up and i heard somthing i turned around and saw him godzilla was walking down the street i tried running but when i did it was as if my feet werent touching any thing and the last thing i saw before i woke up was godzilla's foot coming down on me
In fact, there are several articles about what has been “accepted” and what has been “abandoned”, but even then, it is speculation because only the final product will give us the true. For the moment, only the data from the Empire Magazine is the most accurate for me.
Some time ago, I was the first saying that I was NOT agree with the idea that the Muto “hunted” the Godzilla species, however some posters tell me that I should not be mad for that, that if the history was like that, we should accept it.
Now, other posters are telling the contrary, at the end, who is right?
But, there are only 35 days left, let’s wait and then we would see if all our hypothesis and ideas were or not true. For the moment, I am prepare for the best and the worst, whatever happens, I am glad to see Godzilla again, that is the important for me. :o)
Devianteist: Well, most of the times the webpage of Albacinema had accurate data. Obviously I can’t say that 130 min is the last word, but for the moment, it seems a plausible duration for the movie.
Let’s wait the 36 days left and all our doubts will be clear up. From my part, I would like a 2 hour+ movie.
Someone made a thread about this a few hours ago. It's the thread just below yours in the 'Latest Godzilla Discussions' column.
Guys cut him some slack this is his first post. Oh and welcome to the site!
for every thing he has done with Godzilla im very happy of what he has done with it and hes not just Directing it but whats best of all also hes a FAN of GODZILLA and when i see this on May 16 it will be my favorite GODZILLA of all time I CANT WAIT Gareth Edwards THANK YOU I LOVE IT you have made my BEST GODZILLA OF MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!! and my DAD!!!!!!!!!!
I can sorta imagine this music playing during the scene where Joe and Ford sneak into the Q-zone around Janjira and have to avoid the M.U.T.O. people. Or maybe a scene where we get introduced to some secret M.U.T.O. base. It just gives off a major "stealth and conspiracy" vibe. I highly doubt this is going to be used for intimate moments between the Brodys or action sequences involving the monsters.
It's not mindblowing, but it's very, very good. It makes me more anxious to hear the score. I'm hearing some good stuff here.
meh, it's ok, it's not anything outstanding but its not also bad. but i do hope this is not one of hte main themes.
Is that Godzilla's ding dong above that figures head in 1st pic? If this was in merchandising, nobody would have read this comment. ;-D
BigBadBen,
You speak as if we've seen the movie / everything about it is the ultimate Godzilla movie ever. I'll say I'd like to thank Mr. Edwards once I've seen the movie and if it's good. But by that same token I'd also like to thank Shusuke Kaneko, Takeo Okawara and even Mazaki Tezuka for their efforts with previous Godzilla movies. Edwards would be no different.
Ha! Those figures look interesting. I actually don't like the 2nd picture/figure. Also, I think this should belong in the merchandise thread. Just saying, I might not buy it, but they are still interesting.
Clover, Cthulhu, Gipsy Danger and King Kong heard this ...in their nightmares.
Bro thats not speculation there is an article that says that the muto laying eggs thing was scrapped.
if they kill Godzilla, i'll be FRUIOUS!!! but i'll be okay if they do a end credits scene of him resurrecting like in Godzilla vs Destroyah. but i agree, brody is most likely to die. just seems good for this kind of movie. but he should die doing something heroic or brave.
I was just on Rave Motion Picture's website looking for tickets (none yet), and Godzilla was finally listed as upcoming! The runtime said 120 minutes. That time has popped up in a couple of other places, so its likely a placeholder, but one that is probably pretty close! I'd put my money on 120 to 130, maybe even longer!
This movie looks to epic to be to short of a film. So don't worry, be happy!!
I'd just watched Gojira (Godzilla, obvious) on amazon prime and the runtime is exactly 98min. Now for Godzilla 2014 we don't know how long the runtime is but by each trailer I at least saw, I believe this movie's runtime will be around 130min to 150min long, That's my guess.
Ok, just leave it like that. Too many immature kids in the place had produced immature answers (check the spam in other topics, is absurd at some point), and the last thing that I want is a debate based in speculation.
Let's just wait the 36 days left and then we will write about our appreciations, based in facts and not only in hypothesis.
Guys, I said it once and I will say it again the whole mutos laying eggs in godzilla idea was scrapped by Gareth Edwards. Also the leaked script is mostly true but not all of it because it was an earlier version of the final script.
#GODZILLACONFIRMED
well i didn't read the script, i'm a smart lad
Devian:
Ha, yup. I bet most average filmgoers would scratch their heads over why we would care Godzilla's spikes should glow or not before his atomic breath or what color the atomic breath should be. But you are a true Godzilla connoisseur if you do care about these things/ :)
Yeah, I'm not going rip the guts out of anyone who hates big G or think its stupid or childish (wrong as they are). I rather spend the time discussing with G fans about the big G. Not like thost twihards who would launch into their rants and ravings whenever someone (usually a guy) suggest their beloved twight series isn't great literature. And Godzilla enjoys a broader fanbase than just teenage girls, hahaha!
awesome music
@Zaffzilla:
No problem! :) I don't want to be harsh, but this is how disinformation starts. And its a topic that has been done to death, as well as an issue that was resolved long ago.
@Deviantest:
Thank you! Isn't it?!?! I've been waiting to use it for ages! It makes me laugh hysterically whenever I see it! :D
