I am jealous of his drawing skills. I wish I could draw like that. Do you think this will also be in color. That would make it even more awe-insipring.
I wish, on every level of wishing, I could create such awe-inspiring work the way this guy does.
sounds cool devianteist
I actually have been working on an episodic Godzilla novel that I have dubbed GODZILLA: World War Daikaiju.
Feel free to check it out if you wish. Plot details are through the link, as well as some other things.
You are right, this is a repost. If you wanted to find out if it was old news/repost there is a search bar for that. Also please check the stickied merch thread and post those in the merch thread next time to avoid "clogging" as members like to say. Lock thread please mods.
i did say take this with a grain of salt so i dont blame you for being cautious. i hope this is actually true though. its been a long time since these movie have been on tv and i had a heart attack when i saw this lol
i wish it wouldve been him to draw the awakening cover
dang i'm at school right now and i can't see the picture and imgur is blocked but it sounds cool
@REGGIE1138 BINGO! you got it brother. I'm hoping that it breaks even because that would be considered a success. Any more than that is a bonus and hopefully will get us a sequal or 2.
Uh, guys, he DID do motion capture.
"According to director Edwards, Andy Serkis did motion capture sequences to "control the souls" of the creatures."
oooooh that sounds cool lopsquid
That is if this turns out to be true hopefuly since this is the only info I could find on it.
they may not be the best but they are aimed at kids, also the showa movies are more well known, more than the heisei and millenium series by far, too bad this is only the US cartoon network
I just googled Cartoon Network showing old Godzilla movies, and there is no information on it outside of Wikipedia. I really do not think CN would show Godzilla movies. I don't trust this.
Yep it's true their doing it in promotion of the new Movie, although these are some of the lesser godzilla movies (except mechagodzilla)
but If I had a godzilla novel it would be Godzilla world ending. The xliens are back and they have ahorrible plan to mess up the boundaries between demensions and with and with all the monsters from other demensions coming in can our demensions monsters stop the world from being destroyed
@Mikeynamez EXACTLY!!! Sometimes we can be blinded by our own fandom and not see how something we love so much ourselves is not always a shared passion by all.
@LOPSQUID sorry i just edited it so it won't look like your summary
that summary is a whole lot like mine...
If anyone in here truly believes that Godzilla is the most antipated anything is comical. Spidey2 and Xmen are sequals which sequals always do better than a first installment of a franchise.
Plus Spidey1 and last Xmen was a million times better than Zilla98 so people will naturally rather see that. I no Godzilla will do well but everybody in here has way to high of expectations.
I don't know why, but this makes me want to watch some of the old films again
Yeah I'm a little short on clan members
If it's going to be animated then it has to be REALLY good so it does look trashy like some other cartoons. CGI show would almost be impossible due to the amount of work that has to be put in for it.
A lot of websites and news outlets actually have Godzilla ranked as the most anticipated film of the year
Oh yeah,...AND MAKE HIS SPIKES BIGGER!! :)
This is more then opinion it's the result of a poll on the comingsoon.net website. so far over 6000 people have taken the poll. Still early because it just started this morning. I don't understand how you dismiss one and embrace the other. I've seen many polls on youtube and everywhere else. Most of them don't have Godzilla as #1. That's why as fans we need to show up big time and try to influence others to go see it so it will make enough money to justify a sequel. Having said all of that I'm willing to bet that fans who said X-Men or Spider-Man will most likely go and check out Godzilla as well.
Godzilla: the animated series, it takes place after the events of the movie, and we will see some new monsters with gigan and king ghidorah and mechagodzilla
well i'll look forward to it
By the way. For those of you who might be confused, Clash of Clans is a mobile game.
but this is entitled to some ones opinion! Godzilla was numer 1 for most anticipated film of the year from MOJO youtube channel! So in my mind godzilla is number 1. not x-men or any other film. look it up on youtube. So this post dosent mean anything to me.
Some old ones have some freaky stuff in it like the Smog Monster one or Gigan
Original maybe
? I was suggesting that he should call somebody else that and not me because I didn't want to cause conflict. Sorry Chris
My next step is to sculpt over all the seams and ugly bolts. I also want to bend the tail in a U shape towards the big guy so I can actually put him on a self with a nice stand for him. I want to make a really nice Godzilla statue out of this figure. More details and pics coming soon.
well im just glad its giving more attention to godzilla. we can get future g-fans hopefully
Knowing how much Cartoon Network has fallen off the rails of decent mannered cartoons, I am wary to believe they would show these, as they don't fill the "criteria" for which the show has become known for in today's society.
If they do, I'm going to be feel slightly insulted, but also relieved that someone with moderate common sense still works there.
EDIT-
Can anyone confirm this outside Wikipedia?
Also, it is actually more good than insulting that Cartoon Network might be showing these, as it'll expose more kids to the Big G and maybe even boost sales of the new movie!
ugh, i hate "movie entity vs. movie entity" slogs. It basically amounts to who's imaginary friend is better. The problem with fiction is there is no universal set of rules, so one side can just keep making their guy more powerful than the other. It's especially boring when the answer is painfully obvious (as evidenced by the comments here).
This kind of "debate" is no different than "which weapon is better". Movie monster/characters/vehicles, like real world weapons, are designed to work within the context they were created in. Gypsy Danger was created in a universe where we were attacked by giant monsters and created solution in the form of giant mechs. Pacific Rim is about how we felt small and powerless but ultimately were able to overcome the threat. Godzilla is not meant to be overcome by man. He is meant to be an unstopable power in which mankind can only cower in fear.
This is like a previous thread pitting Godzilla against King Kong. Again, both were designed to work in their original context but when you mash the two together outside of said context, it just doesn't work. Godzilla is meant to be indestructable whereas Kong was, despite his size and strength, a fully mortal animal. Godzilla is a force of nature, representing the horrors and destruction of atomic weapons as well as judgement on man. Kong was a tragic figure, symbolizing mankind's unfailing ability to demonize and destroy what he doesn't understand. He also represents problems with trying to take a wild animal out of the wild. They both work beautifully in their own worlds; trying to pit them against each other as is (instead of changing them like in Godzilla vs. King Kong) is pointless because it means taking two completely different beings from two completely different worlds out of their comfort zones.
Trying to pit the two together is like trying to pit a knight against a samurai. Both worked very well in their own context, but take them out of that context and they'll be at a disadvantage against one another. The Knight would have a speed disadvantage because he was used to fighting other slower opponants. the Samurai would have an armor disadvantage because his weapons were designed to attack lightly armored opponants, not enemies wearing full plate armor.
TL;DR: Stuf like is pointless, especially when the differences are so staggeringly different as to the render the "debate" over before it even began. Whay can't we enjoy each in their own world? Why do we have to pit them against each other (at least without rewriting their natures)? I have learned that this kind of thing often leads to the denigration of the other, despite the fact that they were incredible in their original context. I just find this all pointless and irellevant, in the end answering absolutely nothing.
sorry for the rant.
