im super excited for this! ive been a hard core fan since 1999 :D
I agree Mikey. I have only the Winged Muto in trailers or whatever.
This is amazing.
All hail the original :o####
Moved to fanworks.

@TarrellZilla:
Those worries were put to rest a LOOOOOOOONG time ago. Frickin' Google really needs to fix their screw up and get the run time right. I'm praying that I've heard the last of the 1 hour, 38 minute nonsense. But I've got my Michael Scott .gif ready to go just in case.
la figure esta genial y tambien el enpaque es identico a las figuras de titanes del pacifico
Did you mean to say promotional thread? Because it says promotional threat on the top.
AMC Theatres has the running time at 2:03.
I adore the ds, being a hardcore Castlevania fanatic, and the 2 megaman zx games were supa dupa but just watching gameplay footage turned me off, it looks repetitive and cheap.
Nailed it with Gigan. LOVED it as a child. My first Godzilla film was 1985 and my second was Gigan. I didn't even care that Godzilla was the exact opposite or even that he talked in the film but I repurchased it on dvd thinking it would be nostalgic gold but aside from Ifukube's amazing score (which he didnt even record for this film) , it's painfully boring.
It's the opposite with Son of Godzilla. I couldn't get over the awfullllllll Godzilla suit and how cute they played up the film but nowadays it's great, pure fantasy escapism.
If only I could read it. Can we get a translation round here?
Are you dutch or German just asking
sorry I peed a litt...oh...I peed agian
The roar is pretty cool but i like the sound its "hooves" are making when they hit the ground. Very creepy.
As a side note im like 95% that we have only seen one MUTO so far throughout all of these trailers. Same one just several different angles. I have a strong feeling there is another muto that we know nothing about.
the reason i dont look for other threads on this is because no body goes throgh 106 pages of this stuff only if they dont have a life thats why and alot of people dont go back to read old threads
I found myself not liking movies like King kong vs G, G vs Megaguirs, and G vs Mechagodzilla as much as I originally did. I liked the original Mothra vs Godzilla and the Kiryu films a lot more though. Everything else stayed about the same for me lol
Thank you for summing up where to post it Devianteist. Topic closed
Awesome video, I wish it was longer! Something to also note is that Gareth said the movie is Two hours, so at least the worries about an hour and a half film can be put to rest.
Nice edit pwerlvlamy. You're talented. I also used this music for my trailer edit.
Look, Toys R Us has the 12 in figure available for preorder. Here is the link.
Congratulations THE WEAVER, this is an excelent analysis and it will surelly give us a better understanding of the situation when the movie arise.
Thanks for the information.
Gman2887 will probably lay a quick topic closed here, sadly.
Please, repost this information here: GODZILLA (2014): Run Time Issue
nice trailer. never really noticed until now but it sounds a lot like the music from king kong
SPOILER ALERT:
It's been heavily implied that at some point (this could've been changed) the male MUTO has his wings ripped off...poor thing. Flight is like one of his only real advantages with how small he is.
That... was flippin' fantastic!!!!!!!! :D That was probably the most revealing interview Gareth has ever done, but still mostly spoiler free! You can tell he's super excited to finally be able to talk more about the film! The reaction from the audience for not only the airport footage, but the trailer that they have probably all watched before, was overwhelming, and got me quite emotional! :') They went nuts!!!! "That's why we make movies." That was a great moment. Gareth was just grinning ear to ear! And that dude in the audience who thanked him on behalf of all Godzilla fans... well, lets just say I think he speaks for us all! :)
Thank you so much for posting this! It made my day! :D
Oh, and I want that stinkin' NECA figure!!!!
i also like the roar. theres something creepy about it which i love
It's physically impossible for a wall of water such a tsunami to "release" a creature like Godzilla. The causes of a tsunami are a bit more plausible, but still highly unlikely. Godzilla is not capable of causing a typhoon either. That was a typo/misuse of wording on the part of the one who suggested it.
The most likely reason for Godzilla's reawakening are more environmental on a basic level rather than on a concentrated level.
The primary cause of tsunamis is called "subduction," when one tectonic plate slides beneath another. Such an instance would be more likely to kill a slumbering Godzilla as he's crushed to death between the plates as they slide against and in between one another. Godzilla's big, but the Earth's tectonic plates are bigger and much, much more powerful.
Godzilla's reawakening is likely much more simple of a matter. Increased radiation and environmental changes due to mankind's interference with nature is what Gareth Edwards seems to be going for. According to him, and what information we know of the movie so far, Godzilla is the product of a time when radiation was more plentiful on Earth. When it drops, he is forced into hibernation. As far as we know, the nuclear bombs dropped in the 40's are what caused his reawkaneing. He must have been close enough to Japan to sense the change and wake up. In the 50's, the tests were attempts to kill him and somethign happened which forced him back into hibernation until 1999 when he attacked the Janjira plant. Then he comes again in 2014.
But what happens in between? More hibernation? Attacks that are simply not shown?
I think those are better questions to ask. After all, if Godzilla wakes up in the 50's but disappears for over 40 years to attack in 1999, why did the supposedly unstoppable force just disappear? Why did it happen again between 1999 and 2014?
Those questions are far more interesting to contemplate I think.
I love it's roar. It is truly terrifing. I love the design altogether. It is much better than the toys show. I love the color scheme and the way it moves. It is just so cool. I am very happy with it.
WOW! Huge slam on Man of Steel out of nowhere!
I'll add that to my "Spacegodzilla and Other Movies I Love Even Though No One Else Does" list. :/
I loved Double Smash! It took some getting used to though. When I first got it, the graphics were really weirding me out, but the fact that I could play a Godzilla game in the car on long trips won me over! I still love playing it, even though I was able to get 100% completion and unlock everything relatively fast!
@SPARKZILLA14 - Couldn't agree more regarding The Man of Steel destruction. Just to much, too often. It took away from my enjoyment of what was a decent movie. Anyways, what I hope to see from the final fight of godzilla is something we havent seen before. I think the HALO jump perspective will give us that. An arial view of three monsters going at it, switching to a ground view from the humans perspective should be a sight. I would love to see some wide shots of the full fight.
@SOMETHING REAL - Secondary damage is an understatement. The city of San Fran will get a makeover. I would assume a swing of Godzilla's tail could probably take down almost anything.
I loved the roar for the MUTO! :D But even more than the roar, I was particularly intrigued by the clomping sounds the creature's hooves made when they hit the ground! How cool is that?!
Like JMTRUDE, I was confidant that the airport MUTO was the 8 Legged Muto, given that no witnesses to the footage mentioned wings, and the fact that the airport creature was described as much smaller than Godzilla, and the Winged MUTO seen in the famous TV spot scene appeared to be almost Godzilla's height. But it was pointed out to me that the head shot of the MUTO in the same TV spot depicted a MUTO whose jaw was identicle to the Winged MUTO jaw seen in the Bandai toys, and was quite dissimilar to the 8 Legged MUTO's more beak like jaw. It turns out, my keen-eyed friend was totally right! :) There is still a LOT of mystery surrounding the MUTO's at this point, and all will be revealed in a mere 24 days!!!! :D
@garyzilla
so we can tip our fedoras to "m'lady". too bad it's not working.
all jokes aside, notice the end scene how far away the muto is in the background, so we arent getting an accurate size ratio of muto with godzilla which is way closer to the foreground
The wondercon footage certainly portrays the muto in a more terrifying light. I thought it sounded amazing. I always thought the airport scene was the "ground" muto. Have we actually ever seen the rumored female muto yet?
@Something Real: I know it's been mentioned here before, but why do your replies always make note to ensure others know you are a girl? i.e...... "this girl"..etc.. Your posts are always very cordial and respectful, but that just seems odd....
