MemberMothra LarvaeApr-20-2014 3:32 PMWill they be like the scenes in man of steel? Obviously godzilla can't fly but with buildings being knocked over and collateral damage? Will it be in a 300 or transformers sense with slow motion and crap like that? I want to see violence in this one, I want godzilla to slash deep wounds and rip limbs off of MUTO's as they scream in horror an blood spills everywhere. Overall I want a vibe of, "this is who Godzilla is and what happens when you push him too far." Will the camera even point towards him or will it all be from a human point of view and that we only see glimpses of the fight? Regardless of the actual battle, I can't get this man of steel image/scenario out of my head:-
Hokmuto: LOOK AT THIS(shows dust in claw)...we could have built a new world in this squalor, but you choose the humans over us. I exist only to protect my people. That is the sole purpose for which I was born and every action I take, no matter how violent or how cruel, is for the greater good... of my people. And now… I have no people. My soul… that is what you have taken from me! (Charges Godzilla) Godzilla: you're a monster MUTO and I'm gonna stop you! >:( Bloody hell

AdminGodzillaApr-20-2014 10:50 PMLike Tsuburaya's special effects I doubt there will be much blood or gore involved. The Wondercon footage suggests something of a Spielbergian style where there shots are fairly wide and easy to take in when the director wants to reveal key action. So I doubt we'll see any slow-mo or anything overly gory or gimmicky shots. Edwards seems to be playing this movie fairly old school. So far the Wondercon footage suggests a level of violence/action akin to Jurassic Park.

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-21-2014 9:58 AMI'm perfectly fine with "Jurassic Park" style action. The Man of Steel destruction was just ridiculous to say the least, the damage caused in that movie would be fine with Godzilla but for human sized characters and one trying to save the city it was just stupid. I asked myself through out the movie what was the point of superman saving it?

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-21-2014 11:49 AM@SPARKZILLA14 - Couldn't agree more regarding The Man of Steel destruction. Just to much, too often. It took away from my enjoyment of what was a decent movie. Anyways, what I hope to see from the final fight of godzilla is something we havent seen before. I think the HALO jump perspective will give us that. An arial view of three monsters going at it, switching to a ground view from the humans perspective should be a sight. I would love to see some wide shots of the full fight.
@SOMETHING REAL - Secondary damage is an understatement. The city of San Fran will get a makeover. I would assume a swing of Godzilla's tail could probably take down almost anything.

I'll add that to my "Spacegodzilla and Other Movies I Love Even Though No One Else Does" list. :/

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-21-2014 1:54 PMSPOILER ALERT:
It's been heavily implied that at some point (this could've been changed) the male MUTO has his wings ripped off...poor thing. Flight is like one of his only real advantages with how small he is.
