I have been once, when im watching captain america winter soldier, its kinda dizzy but it's fun at the other hands..that makes me confuse :p
The real military would launch a few of there bunker busters toward Godzilla throat, eyes or mouth, using computer guilded technolgy. If a bunker buster can crash through layers of concrete or 6 feet of steel, then it could penetrated any part of Godzilla. If that didn't work, they could alway poison Godzilla the way they did King Joffrey.
I don't think it works like that......But the amount of epic of having godzilla aid the military would be unmasurable.
@Something Real, You realize Godzilla absorbs nuclear radiation right. In the first movie, his foot-prints left traces of radiation behind. You might want a radiation suit first. Also, I would also hug him.
Of course the military would want to use Godzilla. He's an indestructible force of nature. Wars would be won in single battles. Godzilla could bring an end to most conflicts. But at what cost?
Have you ever been on 4d ride or movie? In my opinion it makes you dizzy, and you wouldn't be able to enjoy the movie with all the interruptions occurring when your in your seat.
Yeahh i like your opinion, maybe im gonna watch it mroe than once..but im wondering which im gonna watch for the premiere..But you convince me to watch the 4DX one first mate!
I don't think Godzilla will shrink in the movie, because Gareth Edwards is proud to have the biggest Godzilla so far in his movie (he mentioned that in nearly every interview).
That theory would fit in an older TOHO Godzilla movie, but as Godzilla 2014 takes place in a more realistic setting, it doen't fit to me that he shrinks at any reason if he is a biologic lifeform with bones and meat.
But everything is possible, let's get surprised.
I think they should put some monsters from hannah barbara version but serious kind and also krystalak and obsidious from godzilla unleashed game
I dunno, Instinctive Gigan, I'm not trying to be rude, but I think you either didn't understand what the guy was saying or are deliberately it using out of context.
The author was talking more about the use of a hypothetical Godzilla as a military thought experiment in order to theoretically identify the "center of gravity" in an enemy force. He wasn't at all talking how he would use a Godzilla, or how Godzilla would benefit war.
The example from which he works the theory is basically this:
You own an island your enemy wants to capture. Your enemy has air craft carriers, amphibious landing craft, and a large fleet of submarines.
Your own army only has enough resources to commit to taking out one of these threats. How do you determine which one is the most important to defeat?
Well, let's assume you had a single use 'auto-win' button...like a Godzilla creature for example...you could only deploy against one of the three. You use that auto-win against the submarines....can the enemy still capture your island?....yes they can. What if you used your auto-win against the carriers?...probably more effective, but the enemy could still possibly capture your island. What if you used your auto-win against the landing craft...can the enemy capture your island now? Actually no, no they can't. So the landing craft should be the primary target of your actual force.
So yeah. He wasn't talking about actually using Godzilla in battle. Rather, he was encouraging the theoretical use of a Godzilla or some other 'auto-win' force to help military commanders prioritize targets when they have limited resources.
It was still an interesting read. I still think it's a cool article. And I still think you, Instinctive Gigan, are in the upper ranks of reasonable posters on this forum. But on this day, I felt you terribly misrepresented what this article was trying to say.
Yeah, I sorta came up with this a long time ago, along with my other part of that theory, overall stating (and remember this is all MY own SPECULATION):
Those apparatuses that appear to be gills are indeed gills. However, they don't actually function as gills do, normally. Or, at least, not anymore. As the creatures grew larger, their reliance on oxygen as an essential component diminished, thus leaving the gills as an initially vestigial feature.
However, once new bodily concerns arose, the gills found new usage. The creatures' internal heat and molecular integrity due to their nuclear biology meant additional air and water needed to be brought into their systems regularly, which the gills aided in, thus eliminating the need to evolve new features for such a task.
As well, the gills served as an effective ventialtion system by which vital gases could be taken in to ionize for intense plasma discharge from the creatures' mouth, as well as a cooling system that prevents overheating of the region whilst this curious natural weapon is in effect.
@Something Real
So........are you volunteering for the job?

Haha no seriously though, I would see both if it was at all possible for you. If you can't see both versions I would see your 4DX one, because if you think about it, Godzilla will come out on DVD and Blu Ray eventually. You'll be able to really watch it then all you want. But this could be your only opportunity to see it in 4DX and feel like you're in the movie, which must be pretty awesome!
I think he means if they will call Godzilla as "Godzilla" in the movie. Or if he doesn't have a name.
Like in man of steel where never the word "superman" has been said in the whole movie.
That's what I understood he could mean.
How old is Joe Brody in the movie because Bryan Cranston wasn't even born in 1954 :D
He turned 58 in march.
But a very interesting fact that he has a role in '54, '99 an 2014.
God yes it would probably be the greatest movie of either series. I'm going to go ahead and jump on that hypetrain before any evidence the movie is even being considered
That very last cut where the camera pans up amongst the flames and wreckage to a huge arm, body, and tail...AWESOME!!!
I think it moreso points at them being the weakest, as I said most of them didn't even use moves they had in the past, they just sat there and got dropped 1 by 1. Had king Ceasar actually gotten punched, kicked or shot I might see how Final Wars in so strong, but for the most part he doesn't do much besides shoot a beam at a few. Shot a beam at kamacuras then threw him onto a telephone pole essentially, almost exactly what the showa godzilla did except the showa Godzilla slammed kamacuras into the ground rather than impale him on something. Kumongs he threw away, which is really the only true agrument for how strong he is by how far he sent him. Granted he grabbed the rope when Kumonga was in the air so not as though he had to lift him, and Kumonga isn't exactly the heaviest monster. Besides throwing Kumonga I don't see anything he did that was that amazing or so far beyond other Godzilla's abilities.
Some say he took a meteor to the face but I disagree with that. For 1 monster X who was inside the meteor floated down after the explosion. Had godzilla actually been hit by the meteor Monster X would have been immediately on top of him, but the fact the monster floated down afterwards points to the meteor being destroyed in the air. Granted he did take the huge explosion like a champ, but what Godzilla hasn't been able to take an explosion?
Heisei Godzilla got so many boosts and power ups throughout his series it's hard not too see him as the top 1. Not to mention, unlike final wars who fought joke fights, every monster Godzilla fought in the heisei era was larger than him. 2 were made of his cells so essentially clones, 1 was a weapon made specifically to destroy him, 1 was a future monster with tech outside our current ability even now, and the last was powered by the only thing to strait up kill a Godzilla. Then there's the argument that his body couldn't take his power as burning Godzilla. Despite whatever feats other Godzillas have done they are all roughly the same in terms of defense, with it varying only slightly, but Burning Godzilla's power was too much for his body. To Say this Godzilla couldn't survive with his power, but another has not only surpassed it but done so with little to no consequence to his body leaves me wondering, I'm sure I won't convince any1 that believes final wars is the most powerful, just as they won't convince me burning Godzilla isn't the most powerful, but just giving my reasoning for why I see it the way I do.
Close this thread please!
Im sorry if i make ap ointless discussion, because i cant found any other way to communicicate since like i told you before,i cant access my sci fied account..hence,i cant comunicatei n other way instead of making discussion..
Dragonlord tevin : ohh im sorry,im new here, since i dont know how things work and as you can see in my previous thread,i cant access my scified account, how in the world i can message chris.. its kinda weird to see you posting negative feedback tevin, coz u usually give a positive feedback, especialy towards my artwork..thanks anyway
Nope,im not submitting for that contest..its impossible to be in 10th plce even if i won, gareth wouldnt want to fly me from indoensia to LA.. LOL..thank you for your consideration
Very interesting. But i think he has left out a few things like how exactly do you 'befriend' a 350 foot tall monster or how do you give it orders?
Now we're talking :D . This track proved that the soundtrack is indeed having the epicness I was hoping for this movie (just imagine the drums playing during the HALO jump or the MUTO battles)! I am still hoping for a more dark or emotional piece, though.
Interesting.
But I've always said ths, if Godzilla were real, he'd be used more as political tool.
I'm sure if anyone thought about it long enough they could figure out how godzilla could play into politics.
Interesting I did expect some celebrities say something about the Godzilla charachter but not the real millitary.
Also to really answer your question, Chris is in charge of the Facebook so it would've been best to just message him as opposed to this pointless topic. But there's not really a system for "featuring" art, sometimes we just believe certain art is good to use for film promotion.
Saw your art, it's really good but I hope you're not talking about the American contest on the movie website. Because you're disqualified if your art is shared anywhere else:
From the Official Rules:
- Submission must not have been previously submitted to another contest, broadcast on a media or social network or submitted to any entity (entertainment or otherwise) that would conflict with this Contest, as determine din the Sponsor’s sole discretion
So if I were you I'd pull that from the internet pronto, though it may be too late. Also I agree with DRAGONLORD TEVIN, this is a pointless topic but I won't lock it just yet since I'd like to hear what you're gonna do about this dilemma in case you still think it's good to share it anywhere else.
I dont.... own the script? Im not the screenwriter here?
And I dont see why they would change the title of the movie if thats what you meant?
Uhh, youre telling us that you want your artwork to have more attention? And make a sort of useless discussion for it? Just go talk to Chris about wanting it featured here dude, this was pretty unnecessary honestly, sorry.
@GMAN: Yeah it was on the recent Behind The Scenes featurette
