In fact, when they say “god”, they are referring to Godzilla himself. He is the only thing that can save the world in that moment. I guess that at this part of the movie, they already know that Godzilla is innocent of the attacks and that the Muto(s) is the guilty of all the destruction in Jangira and Las Vegas.

So, Ford asks if someone or something can kill the Muto, and the answer is that there is something, not a monster, only a GOD!!!

That's actually a fantastic idea that I would love to have implemented. It would certainly cut down on the amount of repeat and weak threads-- which we have plenty of both.

There really needs to be some kind of screening process for threads on this site. People post stuff without having facts straight then the community goes beserk and all for nothing. This had nothing to do with the upcoming Godzilla film. It was about an upcoming Taylor Kitsch movie somone thought it was about Godzilla posted a question and one of us ran back to this site without following up on whether the conversation was truly about Godzilla. Take a deep breath and relax everyone. We've waited a really long time for this I myself have waited a life time for it. Nothing is going to kill my joy for this. I don't give a damn what anyone says. 

The monster from the 2012 comic con trailer is an unused concept. It was never a full creature designed to be in the movie. That trailer was only a "proof of concept" trailer created by Edwards to prove to Legendary he was on the right track with his vision of the film.

The monster in that trailer is not in the movie, nor does it actually have a fully realized final form. It was only used in the 2012 teaser as a way for Gareth to say "this is a mood piece with this kind of an aftermath. Giant monster burning in a ruined city. Godzilla is coming."

It's just a nameless, unused concept. Everyone calling it Vishnu does so purely because that was the name in the Oppenheimer speech when the creature was on screen. But that monster does not actually have a name, nor a final form. It's an unused concept that will never see the light of day beyond the 2012 trailer.

Even if 1000 people thought the movie was bad, I would still go to see it all the same. Because 1000 people and I are about to have a disagreement.

You can't trust what you read online DANZILLA93. The Mothra paperweight sounds like complete crap to me.

The first hint is that you can't find it. If it were confirmed to be in the movie, it'd be floating around like any of the other photos of Godzilla or the Mutos because everyone would be talking about it and referencing it saying "hey, here's one confirmed easter egg for all to see!" But since it's nowhere to be found, the chances of it being legit are pretty much zero.

The real easter eggs aren't going to be obvious. That's why they're easter eggs. When you watch the movie for the first time, you'll be lucky to spot even one of them since for the most part you'll be focused on Godzilla and the action going on. But hey, who knows, maybe some will be more obvious than others.

Something funny that occurred to me reading your post and the first response is that you seem to have forgotten that gliding IS flying. So long as a body is suspended in air under its own power, it's technically called "flying." So regardless of style, it's flying through and through.

Yep!  I can't remember specifically here I read it (I believe it was an IGN story), but a set visit revealed a paperweight with Mothra's name on it on a desk in the movie!  Subtle, but a great easter egg!

Furthermore, about the flying Muto sequence at the end, the Muto still looks small because Godzilla is far from the building where the soldiers are watching

I'm covering my bases as best I can for the largest of the islands in Hawaii to answer the question here.

Remember, a good sized tsunami can go well in excess of 2-5 miles inland depending on the source. The tsunami Godzilla caused coudl easily spread through to 1-2 miles, so none of the following are out of the question.

Honolulu

Honolulu International Airport is only about a mile and a quarter from the ocean, which is more than close enough for a good sized tsunami like that to reach. Especially with Godzilla dragging along extra water on his body and underfoot.

Kahului

Kahului airport is even closer, practically right on the ocean.

Hilo

Hilo international airport is about a half mile to three quarters of a mile from the ocean.

Kona international airport is just like Kahului, and is pretty much right on the ocean at theedge of the island.

Kauai

Princeville Airport is about a mile from the ocean.

Lihue Airport is right on the ocean at the island's edge.

Barking Sands Airport is also right on the water.

If we put togheter the lines copied by Kage432, the sense of the Dialogue makes me think they are saying that only God can kill "it":

-Can you kill it?

-I beleive something can

-A monster? [Can a monster kill it?]

-Not a monster. A God

Not sure to whom are refering with "it" (to Godzilla or Muto). But if they are using the word God to refer to Godzilla, they are putting him on the same category of Mothra, King Caesar, Gamera and Daimajin to mention some as guardian or avenger of nature as it was stated.  I found this pretty silly because Godzilla never belonged to that category. In GMK version, he was somewhat a vessel fo the vengeful dead ones from the old wars in Japan

with all we know, possibly. I think it might flap it's wing 1 or 2 times to gain speed and stabillity. but one problem i see it's called the flying muto. (not saying it doesn't glide) But good theroy.

I think this is the best trailer yet. The dialogue alone gets you hyped. Then they show Godzilla about to kick some MUTO ass? Overkill, perhaps, but I love it.
