It's a coherent and simple plot.
The characters though are trash except Jia and our title stars.
as well as....

Characters, Incoherent Plot, Why’d they need king to get into hollow earth if they already had the opening? It’s just dumb fun. No logic but really fun!
I mean I really liked it, I’d watch it again, but it’s just a bad movie,
So bad it’s good.
WAIT W H A T
Why???
Oh, I just mean the Godzilla series, but I see your point
No, this isn't directed at anyone.
Just clearing that up right now.
SarcasticGoji,
Thing a lot of people tend to overlook is that there actually wasn't a gap even if it wasn't Godzilla. Honda, Tsuburaya and their writers were still hard at work on sci-fi/kaiju material all the way to Godzilla's return in 1962:
1956 - Rodan
1957 - The Mysterians
1958 - The H-Man, Varan: The Unbelievable
1959 - Battle in Outer Space
1960 - The Human Vaper
1961 - Mothra
1962 - Gorath
Up through King Kong vs. Godzilla, there was no Godzilla series. It was just called, "Toho's Science Fiction/Fantasy Series." From Toho's point of view it wasn't much of a revival, just a continuation of what they had been doing for nearly a decade.
Wow I wasn’t expecting this outcome
If you listen to the entirety of the soundtracks of both films, not just the kaiju themes you will notice some gaps in quality.
Akira Ifukubes Theme is brilliant in the original film. Not relying on percussion and refraining from the common use of shepard tones that are used so much today to create the feeling of unease. And the piano used as a percussion instrument (which it is but isn’t typically used that way) is amazing
ok so 'Goodbye Old Friend' may or may not make me cry
at least it makes me want to cry, so that's pretty impressive
the scene it's paired with just...*mwah* good. its very good.
There was a bit of a gap between the two series of the duology and revival. And this is the standard form I see when it’s divided.
It is already over powered, Toho says it’s the strongest godzilla. Except for godzilla earth
i like bananas and apples
blackberries (especially these really good domestic-grown blackberries at this one fruit stand) are pretty good, 'specially when you get big sweet ones
Interesting way to split it up, thought not out of line.
My favorite is definitely the Golden Age, which you seem to have defined as the Revival.
I like monsterverse but if you compare GvK’s Score to anything else in the series, it really just falls short.
Bear Mcrearys score was excellent and did have original songs in it. The Memories of San Francisco being one of my favorite songs. The Ghidorah theme is excellent, though I do prefer this one. I don’t see not making a moving piece at all. Much of the score of KOTM is more emotional than GvK which even moments that try to sound meaningful just end up sounding like an epic part. It doesn’t really have any grasp on tone or quiet. The Quiet sections just sound like they were just lowered in volumes which defeats the purpose.
Well shoot forgot about that.
Honestly the scene overshadowed the score
"Mcreary succeeded at making an amazing score but never made a moving piece in the slightest."
This is a contradictory comment, but given what seems to be your criteria for "moving piece":
Goodbye Old Friend
Oh yeah, I guess that’s true. Is there even going to be a final form? Or will it just keep mutating until it’s overpowered?
veggies are important
Your probably right, I just think the other kaiju have more of a part to play than just showing up. And I don’t know if it’s been revealed why in the show, but Anguirus doesn’t emit the red dust, which signifies its seperate from the rest of the kaiju I think
Though I love the original the Revival Series is probably my favorite of Showa Era
Even thought the Original is my favorite, I do love the revival series and it has more options as well.
EAAAAAAAAAT YOUUUUUUUUUUUR VEGGGGGGGGGGGGGGIES

And Back To The Ocean was a hauntingly beautiful piece in G'14's score.
Ok, admit that there were some high points you MonsterVerse hater. Mcreary succeeded at making an amazing score but never made a moving piece in the slightest. The end of Hong Kong's score was moving being reminiscent of Stranger Things and The Snyder Cut and accomplished it's goal of being the end of a conflict. It feels very similar to the end of G'14's score when Godzilla leaves to the ocean again.
SarcasticGoji,
I don't think we're going to see Godzilla fight any monsters. It's just not what this series has been building toward. The other monsters seems to be directly caused by him in some way as a harbinger of his arrival--building up little at a time--Including Salunga. I think it will come down to how humanity stops Godzilla.
Holkenborg's a hack. He's just a sound engineer who got lucky and was promoted to composer who successfully wrote the worst score of the franchise. I'll take Riichiro Manabe's wonky, weird themes over anything "Junkie" has done. At least Manabe made some interesting sounds.
I think Salunga has a part to play, but it’s not really based on much information. I don’t really agree with the theory, but If it has any grounds, I would expect the good and evil roles to be reversed. Plus I don’t think many fans would be happy if the build up didn’t pay off in a godzilla fight.
Another note about this show. It seems like it’s ripped right out of the showa era and I love it.
I would kill to watch Godzilla shove a tree down Kong's throat. ROLE REVERSAL TIME!!!
Bear Mcreary Actually paid homage to the original themes and just remastered them. Tom Holkenberg just used the same types of chords but randomly not really seeming to care where it went
SPOILERS:
We'll see. The thing is Godzilla has ready been established as the creature of the end of times, so I don't really see Salunga playing a big part either way.
After all, the Diagonalizer experiment was a failure.
Im not very convinced of that, It didn’t die. As for proof of that we see a shot of it as giant and in an urban area.
e a t a x e l i z a r d
SarcasticGoji,
I'm not particularly concerned about Salunga at this point. Nor do I think he'll have anything to do with Godzilla.
