Anyone notice that tokyo sos and gvMegaguirus have similar plots and basically the same main character?

i havent watched the kiriyu saga in a while, so im not sure

Do you mean Godzilla x MechaGodzilla (not Tokyo SOS) and Godzilla x Megaguirus? Because a common complaint about the synopsis back in 2002 was how similar it was to Megaguirus. No one seemed to care once they actually saw the movie though. Lots of western fans have and continue to take to it.

I'm going with Katsura Mafune. Not exactly a traditional "pilot", but she's easily the most interesting character of those who "control" MechaGodzilla. I like the idea of Akane a lot, and to be fair she serviced a fun movie, but she didn't quite hit the mark for me.

still technically a pilot, she is my second choice then its Kevin/San (King Ghidorah)

I think King Ghidorah is the best Mechagodzilla pilot.

Well I haven't technically watched the Kiryu Saga but I did see clips of it and Akane Yashiro (Yumiko Shaku) is the most adorable MechaGodzilla pilot

I finally did eventually go to watching the Kiryu saga, Akane is still my favorite Mechagodzilla pilot.
