Godzilla: Origins [chapter 4]

*this chapter takes place 700 years after the events in chapter 3.

Its been a while, read the previous chapters if you need to! :)

Lystrosaurus: a therapsid(ancient ancestor to mammals) that lived in the Permian era. 

Gojira: Serizawa's and, later, Monarchs' scientific name for the Godzilla species. Also means Godzilla in Japanese. 

Muto prime: queen of the muto hive. 

Immediate invasion.

The newborn made the forest area his home. He lived along side, and occasionally hunted, towering beast who called the forest their home. Such creatures were in abundance and thrived in the forest, such as groups of 50 meter tall lystrosaurus. But other animals, such as the behemoths, and a small colony of brightly colored insects that occasionally attached to the behemoth's back, were becoming fewer in number.

      The newborn, now an adolescent Gojira, grew and quickly became the apex predator. He had grown darker and reassembled his original parent more. He also grew in intelligence and became more self aware, never over hunting or causing unnecessary damage. He was on one of his hunts now. An unusually tall Lystrosaurus was running from him, it was 60 meters and had a habit of killing off younglings. The young Gojira was at its tail, running fast and using his long tail to balance. Their path was suddenly blocked by a large mountain. The lystrosaurus turned around and gave a nervous roar at Gojira, who slashed out with a claw. The lystrosaurus was taken down in one hit. Gojira growled and, using his teeth started to drag back the corpse by its tail. 

  The young Gojira had made it Halfway back from where he started when a rumble started to shake the earth beneath him. While Gojira was used to an occasional rumbling, these seemed much stronger and much nearer. Gojira dropped his would be meal and ran back to the lake, near which he had established his nest. 

    The M.U.T.O prime grew frustrated. She had only caught 5 monsters in over 1,000 years. The lack of food for her brood had made it so that 3 males and one female were even strong enough to walk. They were all starting to starve and prime realized that she was one of only 3 primes left on earth. If she didn't move fast, the entire species was in danger. The prime was pondering this in her large slime covered nest. The skeleton of the largest monster she caught lay in front of her. The empty eye sockets of the skeleton appeared to be mocking her. She roared and used her claws to smash the skull to dust. The three males nearby shuffled back and gave nervous clicks. The prime heard a familiar roar and looked up to see the female had returned. The prime waited excitedly, the female had been even better than the prime herself at tracking down large monsters. The female had found 3 of the 5 monsters the prime caught. The female muto and prime looked at eachother and the prime immediately understood. She gave a loud and commanding roar. The three males weakly got up and flew from the nest. The female coming behind them. The MUTO prime looked back at the crushed skull. If her subjects didn't down the target, she would do it herself.
