Godzilla: Origins(fanfic)

Chapter 1, part 1

"Birthday"

The first sensation that came to the small creature was touch. The hard ground caused much discomfort to the new-born, but it then felt itself lifting up and being placed on a softer(and wetter) surface. 

The next sensation was smell. The air around it smelled moldy and had a slightly rotten tang. The creature lied there, confused and weak. The creature, while not being able to move, was able to muster enough strength to open its eyes. A soft blue light radiated throughout its surroundings. It first looked to its hands, which were a light gray being shone on by the blue light. It was also able to see that, to its sides and back, 2 huge dark grey rocky walls and ceiling stretched to was seemed an infinite length above it. To its front however, a black nothingness. Within this darkness is where the blue light shone. Thats when our newborn noticed it, an enormous mass of rough, dark skin. It was turned sideways to the newborn, who could see that it had a row of spines coming from its back. It was from these spines that the blue light emitted. 

The tall creature suddenly turned around and deposited what seemed to be the bottom half of a long, snake-like, creature in front of the little one. Newborn s instincts kicked in and it suddenly found the strength to move its neck and start eating.
