I don't mind Vs Gigan, that's actually a big reason why I like Showa Gigan so much.
i've officially left. thanks for the memories!

I actually quite like All Monsters Attack these days. I've defended it as one of the most unique and well told Godzilla stories in the series.
Godzilla vs. Hedorah and the anime trilogy sit in an interesting spot with me. They continue to be in this limbo where I can't decide if they're good or bad, but without fail they're very interesting pieces that skirt into ideas and visuals the rest of the series do not include. At bare minimum I think they need to be commended for that--So perhaps it doesn't matter if I can't decide if they're good or not. That's a fairly narrow way of looking at film anyway.
Godzilla vs. Gigan has a pretty solid following, I think. It was my first Godzilla film although I don't have much nostalgia for it. It's a fairly vanilla movie compared to the others on your list. While I think the characters carry the movie for the first couple of acts it becomes a bore once the monsters show up to fight.

Same. I actually really like that movie, more as a monster movie than a Godzilla one though.

I honestly have some appreciation to all of them. I quite like Hedorah and have nostalgia for Gigan especially.

Rex Xeno,
And that's the gimmick. At some level I can enjoy and sit through all of them finding something to appreciate. It's how we know we're giant monster fanboys.
The only two I find it difficult to enjoy at any point is Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla and the 1998 debacle.

Very interesting list. I personally think the Anime trilogy is "Alright" I don't love it but I don't hate it either. My problem with it lies more in the idea that there was so much potential but nothing was done with it.
If you look at the tie-in books that came out alongside the movies, it shows what this trilogy could have been with an incredibly large collection of classic very unused monsters in a new unified timeline. Fortunately, that's what Singular Point seems to be going for.
But before I go, I just wanna quickly throw in my own unpopular opinion. I REALLY liked the Anime trilogy version of Ghidorah.

Xenotaris I feel bad for that movie with the hate it's gotten. Do I feel it's justified? in most cases, yes, but at the same time it's a fine monster movie on its own, it's just a very good representation of Godzilla. I think the animated series especially showed that this version of Godzilla can work with the right people behind it. I still call the character Zilla though, I prefer him (or her?) as its own monster.

Technically, the design in the 1998 movie and its animated counterpart is Godzilla. The design used at any point after 2004 is Zilla. The rebranding was not retroactive.

G. H. (Gman) Agreed, I always find something to appreciate within every movie in the series. I don't see any of the worst films in the series as any sort of irredeemable atrocities. There is always something to like, even with films like Godzilla vs. Mothra, Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla, Godzilla (1998), etc.
