One Will Fall.

MemberGodzillaFeb-25-2020 1:26 PMIt's hard to imagine that in GvK, one will die- but it seems possible. It's understandable that fans have reasons why they pick a winner. But does losing mean death?
I think it would be too polarizing either way for one to be killed. What do you think?

MemberRodanFeb-25-2020 1:34 PMI sure hope not. I want both to stay alive.
Zwei Wing is the best singing duo. Change my mind.

MemberBaragonFeb-25-2020 1:36 PMVictory deffinately doesn't only mean death. One can bring down the other without killing him, and in the process, they could see eye-to-eye.
"What’s so great about discovery? It’s a violent, penetrative act that scars what it explores. What you call discovery, I call the rape of the natural world."

A true fan can acknowledge the bad while still appreciating and cherishing the good.

MemberGodzillaFeb-25-2020 2:03 PMOne theme I have noticed about movies with both creatures is Balance. One Will Fall doesn't have to be about life or death imo.

MemberGiganFeb-25-2020 8:34 PMJust have Kong recognize Godzilla as his alpha after receiving a massive kaiju asswhooping and be done with it

dantefrancis
MemberBaragonFeb-26-2020 8:12 AMXenotaris Maybe that can be the result, but I don't see it like that. Kong and Godzilla are both Alphas in their own right. Kong will either tolerate the Titans after then end of the movie on Skull Island or Godzilla will order the Titans to move out of Skull Island.

MemberGiganFeb-26-2020 11:06 AMwell when you have two alphas, one of them is going to have a bad time: 1) become a beta, 2) become outcasted, or 3) become dead.

MemberBaragonMar-01-2020 11:41 AMNot necessarily. The director based the monsters social chain off wolf packs. But they based them off false information on real wolf pacts. The pacts that we’re studied were in captivity which alters their behavior. Real wolf pacts are simply families with the father being the lead. The children eventually grow up and leave to start their own pact while the parents either split to look for other mates or start another one together.
That said, there can be more than one alpha existing in the world. Just like real pacts, there exists more than one. Why would Godzilla control all the monsters? That’s impossible. Kong is an alpha too keeping his monsters in check and protecting them. Godzilla obviously knew the island and Kong existed so he doesn’t care about venturing there and will leave Kong to his business with his monsters. Two alphas can exist, as long as one does not encroach on the other’s territory or members. The one who loses doesn’t lose his position or pact because the pact will defend the leader.
