DEBATE WEEK SEASON 8 HAS BEGUN, our veteran members will remember perhaps a bit better--but our new viewers will need a tl;dr. In Debate Week for 7 events we host two different candidates from the Kaiju universe and pit them against each other in a battle that is up to you, the fans, to decide. Let us begin
King Ghidorah (Godzilla vs King Ghidorah 1991 variant)
Height: 150 meters
Weight: 70,000 m-tons
Description:
One of the most, if not the most, iconic iterations of King Ghidorah--1991's Three Headed Dragon went toe-to-toe with one of the most powerful and agile Godzillas, and almost won. Capable of flying at Mach 4 and outmaneuvering fighter-jets, for his size, he is a beast of agility hitherto-undreamt-of--and we're not even talking about Mecha King Ghidorah. Tanking multiple direct blasts from Godzilla's atomic breath, and surviving with his middle head severed--King Ghidorah's durability need not be tested, he's truly a titan. With Monster Zero's trademark Gravity Beams, and constriction via all three heads--Ghidorah nearly felled the King of the Monsters--and his power cannot be dismissed.
GMK Ghidorah:

Weight: 70,000 m-tons
Description:
Acting on a slightly more heroic basis, one could say, GMK's King Ghidorah deals with an incredibly relentless and monstrous form of Godzilla. GMK Ghidorah outlasts Godzilla's atomic beams, and a treasure trove of other assaults, and although the Guardian Monster is defeated--it took a spiral golden beam from GMK Goji to bring him down. Besides this, he boasts similar abilities to 1991's Ghidorah--albeit a bit smaller, and functioning off of a semi-celestial plane. Before absorbing Mothra's power, Ghidorah is capable of a unique electric bite technique--an able melee option--and in his perfect King Ghidorah form he can manifest a golden shield that is capable of deflecting Godzilla's atomic rays and acts as an explosive on its own.

MemberRodanMay-24-2019 6:26 PMDespite his smaller size, I think GMK Ghidorah would win because of his shield, which in theory should be able to block 1991's blasts, also, his smaller size will make him a harder target, but he is just as heavy so packs as big of a punch. Also has spiked tails, which might cause bleeding damage to 1991, but I'm not entirely sure about that. GMK Ghidorah might also be able to survive losing one of its heads, but I'm not 100% sure about that, so really GMK is just a harder to hit, shielding 1991 Ghidorah. Because of that, I think GMK Ghidorah would win. Also, nice new profile pic Emperor GG

MemberBaragonMay-26-2019 12:37 AMHeisei Ghdiorah was very powerful, at one point he could be the victoy against Godzilla before the Futurians were stopped. But at the same time, he was a puppet of the Futurians and later a mecha-hybrid piloted by Emmy (the late actress Anna Nakagawa) and did not have a wil of it's own.
