Sure would be nice to see a return to Rodan's "predator" roots...
Believed to have awoken from his volcanic slumber in 1991... Mount Pinatubo will never be the same again, birth to the monster myths surrounding the volcano - Monarch file-40444-R

@Gman123,
I'm still waiting on their response to my last question on the "Mothra spoilers" thread. Like I'm Durp said, it's more than likely their game is over because none of it was true to begin with.
Sure, we can be a little hard at times, but why should we end up the laughing stock by other forums? Being skeptical is one thing, bringing actual proof is another.

You drove the guy away by caring about being the laughing stock in the first place and being too strongly adamant about the whole situation.
If you wanted proof so badly, you should've given the guy the benefit of the doubt, because guess what? People are more forthcoming with information when they aren't being pressed all the time and are allowed to naturally open up.
Also, if I haven't made it clear enough, forget about others' opinions. Focus on the facts AND the fun. This isn't an "either or" situation, where the guy was either BS or legit. Drop the zealous fact-checking if you want these discussions to not devolve into what it is now.

I'll continue to post here sporadically folks, dont worry, I'm not going anywhere. I'm just finished debating the subject because either way, if you want it to be wrong, thats what you're going to believe no matter what. But as long as there is a crusade for the truth, my job will never be finished! Continue to join me in the search for the truth
And dont worry, I'll try not to laugh in your faces too hard when more and more stuff begins to pan out.
BTW folks, for those hoping Mothra has some ties with human beings, you're in luck :)

I think going around calling people zealots speaks volumes for yourself gman123.
First off, no one here really drove anyone away. Asking questions with no answers also speaks volumes all on its own.
I revealed the original tweet about the timeline that the individual obviously ignored. If that's not fact checking, what is?
Honestly, you got caught up in that individuals comments by a leap of faith. I think I'd rather take my chances on real confirmation from the company and the people actually making the film before anything else.
Being the laughing stock had nothing to do with the conversations we've had until recently. So, are you ok with this site being a laughing stock?

That's the spirit!
So, Mount Pinatubo. Kind of a reversal of Rodan's original situation, where it DIED to a volcano, eh?
Edit:
I apologize for the rhetoric, but, being Human, the emotions can run high when hit the right way, and we can't separate the subjective from the objective so easily.
Anyways, to answer your question, no, I wouldn't care about being the laughing stock, because I wouldn't be the laughing stock. I would be partaking in interesting discussion with folks that share and/or oppose my viewpoint, and we would both be skeptical AND open to the possibilities.
To be frank, if you lot had simply not tried to discredit the guy entirely (i.e. this guy is just reiterating Toho Kingdom stuff, etc.) and just let us take the "wait and see" approach whilst discussing what he/she said, I wouldn't have taken such issue to all of this. I have to be honest, I'm disgusted at people who would care so much about "the facts" to the detriment of simple folks looking to start conversation. Sometimes, you just need to step back and let yourself believe even the slightest bit.

I have a great idea.... it's called let's all forget this happened and continue to have fun and enjoy the Big G.

I agree. Let's forget about the drama and focus on what we're here for: speculation, discussion, and joking around.

Thanks for the welcome, Huge-Ben. And no worries, people from TK can be pretty negative...

Rewinding a tad.
Gowhaletours,
My question was directed at the TheTruthIsOutThere in regards to dates and posts. Not you. I agree with you.
TheTruthIsOutThere,
My question about other posts seemingly spouting this stuff before members at Toho Kingdom wasn't mentioned as a dare. I'm sincerely curious, because as it stands it only looks like you're parroting speculation as leaks with the way the dates line up.

Agreed, even though I'm really enjoying this speculation is there some form of facts you can show us to confirm you aren't just playing us like a Nintendo.

Yes, I informed you of practical effects a month before official word was released

I do like the idea of Rodan being immune to Godzilla's plasma breath. It would certainly tie in to the fact that, you know, HE CAME OUT OF A GODDAMN VOLCANO.
Though, lava is one thing. PLASMA is another.

Sure. Let's all act like this is new with Rodan being fireproof. Ghidorah the three headed monster 1964, Godzilla's atomic breath did little to no damage at all, and the same applies with the heisei series with 1993 with, hello, fire Rodan.
Seriously, let's all ignore past films and act like this is a first. Get real.
Rodan has talons? Well, no sh##. He's always had talons. Lives in a volcano? Gee, 1956 did as well and ended up dying with his mate in a volcano.

Cool it with the sarcasm [edit: and deadpan snarking], or at least don't be a jerk about it and presume that we're blindly lapping everything up. We all knew the previous examples, we just like the idea. Besides, the originals died to a volcanic eruption, and this is a neat subversion of that by emerging from a volcanic eruption in the first place.
Also, plasma is a lot worse than lava in terms of heat transfer.
[Edit] Also, no actual proof leads to us recognizing that fact and having fun with the discussion anyways.

I'm not being sarcastic nor am I being a jerk. Again, no actual proof leads to ignorance and misguidance.

Dang Huge-Ben, better stop "harassing" him or he'll report you for "misconduct".

I have a bigger issue, who the f**k calls Godzilla's atomic breath plasma breath?!? Those are not the same thing at all

Godzilla's atomic breath in Ghidorah the three headed monster was disappointing; it was more like dirty air kicked up by a leaf blower breath.

"I have a bigger issue, who the f**k calls Godzilla's atomic breath plasma breath?!?"
It's what happens when people look too far in to things. It's atomic breath, no worries.

Gman- Certainly no worries, we discussed that on another thread and I realized what he meant. He was talking specifically about G 14, not every other Godzilla.

Even still there's no real confirmation it's actually plasma. I'm sure if we/he wanted to look that far in to it we could deduce other forms of the atomic ray as something "else" as well, but in the end it would just be unconfirmed speculation. I have a feeling the upcoming film will contradict the whole "plasma" thing since, y'know, it's not.
Something tells me you're an inside man for the film giving us very slight clues on what the movie is about...

Gman- Oh I know, I'm just saying that when I first read what he said I though he meant for all Godzilla's, which wouldn't make sense as we know Godzilla shoots a beam of pure radiation. (a.k.a not plasma)

Crimson Black- I've thought that for a while now, if he is I doubt he'd let us know

Godzilla's gonna have the time of his life trying to catch up with his ol' rival.

I could believe that. Godzilla's pretty damn old already. He let himself get overwhelmed by two iddy-biddy Hokmutos, for MONARCH's sake!
Definitely an eye-opener. Hehe........ imagining Godzilla doing push-ups, sit-ups, and drinking plenty of juice to get in shape puts a smile on my face.
^I just hope they don't cheese this movie up like make him fly or talk or any crap like that. I don't mind if the movie is not as serious as the first, but the moment it gets cheesy it will get laughed out of theaters.

I'd say that the balance struck by Kong: Skull Island would be a good one.
For example, say Rodan messes up when he's fighting one of the other three and crashes into a building in a hilarious manner. Audience laughs out loud. Then it turns out that crashing into the building causes it to topple on a bunch of civilians attempting to escape that particular city. Audience is horrified.

Sure hope Monarch does a better job at containment, wouldn't want him getting off that island...
Hope to see you all at Comic Con, expect something awesome!

He's gonna get off the island, when has keeping monsters on an island not gone wrong?

No fair, Godzilla doesn't even get his own island, Some co-stars gets all the VIP treatment...

G's gonna be pretty pissed, which is why I bet he'll start destroying crap like Old school G.
Ive got it! Mothra has poisonous powers and ends up fighting Rodan. It said Mothra may have even caused a historical event. That event is the Great Smog of London, there it is said pollution was possibly sent by a large creature flapping its wings. That is Mothra, fighting Rodan! I think I cracked the code!
I must admit, you have indeed been correct about the origins of the monsters so far. Just out of curiosity, do they have a composer selected yet? And also, will original themes be used or will the score be completely new and original?

No, he hasn't been correct about the origins. He said RODAN comes from my. Pinatubo but the timeline states he's from isla de Mona.
True, but he DID have the correct year but that could have been merely a lucky guess. I think he's more or less grasping at straws. I think he's full of it. I'd imagine that if practical effects are being used, we'll get a leak sooner or later.
