Is the 2012 comic con trailer monster muto?

The 2012 comic con monster was nothing. It was just a concept. If you're just throwing out a theory you think would be cool, that would work but from the few scenes we saw of the monster is was dead and looked to be burned from what I assume would have been Godzilla's breath.

It says it in the feature guys that they have a larva form

They do have larval forms, but the creature in the Comic-Con trailer is just a scrapped concept monster. It isn't related to the M.U.T.O.s in any way except the fact that it was replaced by them. Gareth Edwards has even said in interviews that the Comic-Con monster was just a concept that isn't canon in the new film's universe in any way.

The 2012 monster is an unused concept, confirmed by Legendary Pictures. "Unused" means that it's never been used outside of that teaser. It never had a part to play in the film.
