MemberTitanosaurusAug-19-2014 7:25 AMRemember when Godzilla and the Male Muto met in Hawaii and we only saw them fight on the news? Do you think there is possibly a deleted scene where we see the Male Muto and Godzilla fight one on one? I'm talking about before the Female Muto hatches. As in Godzilla and the Male Muto fight each other one on one in Hawaii. It's always possible, though unlikely. Right?

MemberMothra LarvaeAug-19-2014 11:38 AMWith the amount of money it takes to render out the CG for the scenes with the monsters, I highly doubt they'd cut one. It's possible though, but very unlikely. Any deleted scenes are probably going to be human stuff.

AdminGodzillaAug-19-2014 12:02 PM^Agreed. If there's any deleted scenes that include monster footage, it's probably just a quick shot or two. A few seconds of footage maybe.
Due to the amount of money the effects scenes cost I highly doubt an entire battle was left on the cutting room floor.

MemberMothra LarvaeAug-19-2014 2:07 PMi think the only monster scence is the one at the end of the asia trailer

MemberMothra LarvaeAug-19-2014 2:50 PMIn the official movie novel the entire Hawaii Scene is explained out in full detail. Godzilla attacks the MUTO with his atomic breath just before the MUTO takes flight and starts flying to California. If they took the time to explain this whole scene in detail in the book I think there is a fair chance it may be a deleted scene for the movie.

AdminGodzillaAug-19-2014 2:54 PM^The book was written after the movie and it's script. It's likely this was just the author's variation of the scene.

I couldn't resist. Seriously, though, as others have said, it is very unlikely that they would have cut a whole CGI fight scene from the movie. The only hope I see for us getting to see a full-fledged airport fight is if the news footage we see of it is actually made up of parts of the original scene, but, once again, it's very unlikely.

AdminGodzillaAug-19-2014 6:55 PMDaniel,
That's just a single shot. Looks like it was cut from the final battle. It's not very long.

MemberBaragonAug-19-2014 7:06 PMTo be fair there were quite a few shots from the trailers that were changed or never showed up in the movie.

MemberMothra LarvaeAug-20-2014 6:55 AMThat shot from the asia trailer was in the movie, it was just from a different angle.

MemberMothra LarvaeAug-20-2014 5:58 PMYeah, the scene with Hokmuto flying in towards Godzilla like that is in the movie, but the camera is repositioned. It occurs right at the beginning of Hokmuto's and Godzilla's final fight (after the atomic breath was unleashed and Femuto was going after the boat).
