Was the post-credits Mothra scene true???

It was said that a post credits scene with Mothra was shown in select asian countries. Now that Mothra has been confirmed, was it true? For all we know Mothra could've been commanding the MUTOs to help defeat the monstrosity of Ghidorah??? I personally dont believe its true but it could be

No, that scene was fake, especially since it was stated before the movie even came out in Japan or China, so what, they show something that big to a small country like South Korea? And Gareth having a strong hatred of Post-Credit scenes?

I call BS on the scene, but I do love the news of the sequel.
